Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.

Well after an eventful start to the fantasy season we look to settle down a bit with a full set of fixtures and not that blankety blank stuff. Evoking memories of chequebooks and pens.

The very popular Everton assets get us going when they welcome West Brom for a lunchtime kickoff. That is followed by three other Saturday fixtures, Leeds vs Fulham, Man U and Mr. Penalty host Palace and Arsenal take on the all but relegated West Ham, all neatly spaced out so we can sit for about half the day in front of the TV.

Sunday gives us four more games, also kindly spread out, so much so that no two games ever coincide. Saints welcome Spurs in the early one and that is followed by Toon vs Brighton. In the best game on paper Chelsea and their Bundesliga attack take on the champs and the day is closed out when Leicester tangle with Burnley.

Monday brings an interesting contrast in fixtures. One to bore us and hopefully one to entertain us. The Villains play host to Sheffield Utd in the opening game in a likely snoozefest, but hopefully Wolves playing City makes up for it in the late game.

The games in full…

5-2 is the new 2-1… So is scoring within 5mins, apparently.

Selling Son before Southampton is the new & improved recipe ‘Selling Salah before Bournemouth’.

    Tariq Lamptey looks so good.

I hope for their sake, Chelsea have a first refusal on him.

I am trying to be reasonable and not rage wildcard but using it might be the sensible move here…

What do you think, guys? Give me some of your wisdom and knowledge…

        Haha
Son was never in my team, nor my plans, GP. I rate him highly, just don’t like his position in Mourinho’s formation. His individual class did the job today (+ Southampton’s atrocious defending).

I’m in a very similar mood! Your squad is just fine. But I can appreciate the temptation to hit the button just to make all those tweaks that you’re thinking of. The likes of Bruno and Auba etc will come good, so I wouldn’t make any rash decisions just based on this weekend. They could both easily score big next week.

      • Tornado says:

Cheers, Banjo! Yeah, I am not the one with rash moves but there is a lot not to like in my team ATM. The plan was Auba to KDB but with the overall team not delivering, I am really tempted to try to turn things around with WC.

not seeing massive reason to wc.

ASM might be injured. Auba ans ASM out for whomever in and its a much better team

      • Tornado says:

Dreamers – ASM injury, Doherty not playing in the same position as at Wolves, Doucoure not as attacking as I’d like, Auba too much money + bad schedule ahead, McCarthy bad, no real bench options, etc etc…+ lack of Everton, MC, Wolves assets. I will think about it but things don’t look well, I know it’s waaaaaay too early to look at MLs but I am 100 points behind after 2 GWs – that’s ridiculous…

        • TheDreamers says:

Hi Tornado. I’m on wc since last night so I do get the temptation. I just think my team was in worse shape. I messed up my trf ( sold Salah over Auba for a -4 so then said screw it and hit the wc button).

You could just do the -4 today? Can always wc later in the week then.

For example : Brewster to DCL allows Auba to a good few choices including James

        • Tornado says:

Thanks, Dreamers! That’s a great suggestion! I hate taking hits but I might do it and give my team one more chance…my initial plan was to WC just after the International break and I might stick to it if I see some light at the end of the tunnel.
