Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!
To help you decide or just confuse you a bit more, we have asked 3 of our writers to pass judgment on what players you would do well to pick up and what players are better left out of the fray. We hope this is a simple straight forward formula that can assist you in your decision making as we ride out this International Break. I avoided including players like Siggy, Di Maria or Costa as there is really no point. There seems to be overwhelming consensus on these cats.
Grab – You need this player on your squad. On the Def/Keeper categories if they select Grab, they will give us a name or two from said team. Eg. Grab De-Gea
Avoid – It’s a trap don’t get suckered in.
Bore off – If you have him play him, if you don’t have him don’t bother getting him. Really not worth the extra effort.
Then again they may just go off piste and ramble regardless!

Wow, 2-3 months out for Ozil, doesn’t bode well for my Welbeck idea. I might just keep Ulloa and work on others moves. At first glance i’m thinking one of..
1. King -> Henderson
2. Downing -> Mane
3. Duff -> better defender.
4. Keep FT and see what’s what with Arsenal.
5. Just get Welbeck and hope that Arsenal can field 11 players on a week to week basis.
Thoughts? Ta.
NIN – 5 for me. Or 4 this week but I think Welbeck will have less good chances but still enough to score some and miss a lot of them!
That’s my worry! How many chances will he get now that Arsenal have no natural no10 along with other big injuries too. Ozil hasn’t been in top form for a while now but he’ll be missed a lot. Hmm.
He will be missed for sure but they have Cazorla, Ramsey and Wally back in a few weeks, Sanchez might be nailed on now, Ox, Wilshere, etc. They have lots of good midfielders and they will create a lot of chances, so Welbeck will score a few like Giroud did in the past.
I agree it’s bad for Welbeck to miss Ozil but he’s still a great pick.
1. Baines + 4.3 def (Moore/Hutton) + Chadli
2. Azpi + Chambers + Chadli + 0.7
3. Baines + Chambers + 6.0 mid (Henderson/Downing) – as a 4th mid, will have to play him every week.
Which one would you choose?
1 or 3 for me. I don’t think there’s a lot between Henderson and Chadli.

Yes I would. I think people forget or overlook how good Cazorla actually is and surely he’ll be more nailed on now you’d think. Add the Ox to that too along with Wally edging back I’m sure Arsenal can cope.
Right. Thanks init/Albertini. Good points made there. I must admit, i’m a lot more worried about the transfer now than i was before. I’ll have to mull this over quite a bit as i see my next FT as a vital one so it has to be spot on. The joys 😉

‘Allo ‘Allo lads, this is my MLS team for next GW. The plan was to do Scott -> Hagglund, Le Toux -> Finlay, and Zardes -> Davis, and play 3-5-2 with Keane on the bench. Now, however, it seems that Davis could miss the match against DC as he could be called up. Do I go through with these plans, or do you have some other suggestions? Donovan is not expected to miss any matches btw. (3 FTs, 0.6 itb)
High Tekno, 😉 Much talk on Boss that Davis will miss the 2nd so maybe get Bradley instead, although NYRB away second isn’t great. I believe Defoe may be back too? Not looked today though.
High init (I see what you did there), Defoe played 30 min last match it seems, so I’m not too sure about his fitness. I guess I can wait until tonight and bring him in for Keane if he starts.
Who’d you suggest I captain? Currently have the armband on Martins, but Valeri, BWP, and Defoe/Bradley are options as well.

I am tempted by Mane. Gonna keep my eye on Sterling, who is the only mid I would consider getting shut of at the moment. LFC are not appealing in FPL terms at the moment. In fact they’re not appealing in any terms!
