Grab, Avoid or Bore off!
Welcome to the opening instalment of Grab, Avoid or Bore off for the 2016-17 season. Lovely to be back with you the wonderful FPL community and guess what I have in store for all of you? The same 3 fellas who always do it…well, that was an exciting announcement. Much like Wenger, I don’t like to spend money for any new strikers, so no need to break up the 3 Amigos. Unlike Wenger’s crew, this trio of attacking talent always delivers the goods, sort of. Showing that they haven’t lost a step and have all the important nuggets of information you all desire, they reveal to us things like Cahill is Cahill (shocker), that Kop is actually Mr. Excitement, that I might have a soft spot for Costa, that Cookie is absolutely ready when it comes to cheap strikers and that Init has figured out the Italian secret for preserving ageing defenders. Yes!! Yes!! With that kind of info, you certainly can’t afford to not read up and get yourself ready for the upcoming season. So without further ado, bring on Bore off!

Few questions guys:
1. Boro Keeper or defender or both?
2. Best rotation seems to be Palace and Sunderland, correct?
Probably be more questions depending on the answer to these two?
1. Keeper (valdes I’m assuming) only if he’s paired up with another 4.5 or 4.0. If not then youre better off with a 4.5 defender
2. Palace and sunderland/spurs have ver good rotation
Oops. Very*
I think friend is pretty solid so I’ll go with defender. Not both
maybe but I can see Palace conceding and not sure on Sunderland
Morning Matt.
1. Meh, I’m not sure. Friend seems to be popular so maybe him? Boro gk situation is a bit iffy. Have to think it’ll be Valdes but who knows. I’ve avoided them altogether.
2. Seems okay yeah. WBA & Burnley is okay too.
Ok dudes the time has come! My first RMT for this season! I’m still debating ibra and I may switch but this is my current lot! Please ignore the big cluster fuck up in the top right corner ( I tried to install a new screen on my iPhone, broke my home button and now need a proxy home button on-screen… First world problems) all advice as ever greatly appreciated!
@Flash, not sure I can find a real problem with this team. I guess if you really want me to offer anything, I say that Spurs have about the easiest fixtures in the EPL to start off with, so some coverage from them somewhere might be something to think about.
Good call, might try and wiggle in eriksen or Ali, wgich mid do you think should make way? Could do mahrez to eriksen and have a mil to play with elsewhere?
@Boss Hogg, kinda hard to tell someone to drop the best FPL player last season. But yeah, if I were to pinpoint someone it probably be him. Leicester’s fixtures until GW10 or so are terrible for the most part. I prefer Alli based on last year. If we see he is sitting behind the striker and not sitting deep, I rather have him than Eriksen. Alli would have still been better value for money last season even if they cost the same to begin with.
Pretty solid all over. Not a fan of the double Swansea but that’s probably just me
Hmmmm yeah I’m not sure either but Willian’s is 5 mil so I could shift him for someone else? or do I try to find s mil and upgrade sig to eriksen?
If he goes to City I’d probably go with Stones. I do like the side though
Yes Indeedy, I like it
olaa guys…
have been following this website since past 2 years but have created my account for the first time .
cheers to init and gang, wonderful work guys .
would love to have your opinions on my team..
courtois jako
nseu pieters valencia mcauley smith
deulofeu fletcher silva hazard townsend
aguero zlatan austin
Welcome to the site tejrid.
Solid looking squad mate.
Keep an eye on Nseu as I’m not sure if he’s guaranteed to start, likewise with Smith. Valencia could turn out to be a great pick but he’s not going to pick up 3 assists in every game.
In midfield I’d maybe consider someone other than fletcher as he’s ripe for a price fall in the opening weeks.
Hi tejrid
Kop speaks wise words (as ever) and I agree with this. I think if Valencia plays the Community Shield next week he could be a great pick to start the season – as Kop says he won’t assist three every game but he may be given a wide attacking role which could provide nice regular returns. Smith played left back yesterday for Bournemouth but he has a lot of competition so be careful. I think Nsue might be OK actually but time will tell.
Fletcher to Capoue or more preferably Maloney from Hull (potential set play points) would be my preference.
thanks kop and gallant … frankly smith is just a bench fodder for me. so no issues with him. as far as nseu is concerned he is a confirmed regular starter at RB and could play in midfield as well (acc to fpl247 article on promoted 11 😛 ). in UTDs attack if micky plays on the RW then his combination with valencia could be deadly + he is a regular starter as compared to darmian . and about fletcher is concerned u r absolutely right . il get him replaced with maloney
He was a regular starter last season but Boro have since bought Barragan who is a RB. I’d prefer Friend from the Boro defence.
ohh.. il surely work on it then . what about silva ? is it alright to go with 2 mancity attack. atleast for 2-3 gws . silva and aguero are ruthless at times. could replace silva with an arsenal guy later onn
I would prefer KdB instead of Silva but yes 2 from City or United because they have seemingly great early games. I have 2 from Utd and Aguero!
At this stage of the season I’d be reluctant to double up on any teams attack as we just don’t know how they’ll perform. However if I had to do it City is one of the teams I’d consider.
and moreover m quite tempted to replace deloufeu with barkley and silva with firmino based on his preseason performance. yes liverpools fixtuers are quite tough , but lets not forget the basic rule ‘FORM OVER FIXTURE’ . 😛
I would have thought Deloufeu has been more impressive than Barkley in the pre-season games.
Tejrid, Firmino is a must for me – attacking midfielder in an attacking team, with no European involvement. I’d include Hazard in that also.
Really helpful, Mito!
This combo will help many managers to get points from good rotation
