Grab, Avoid or Bore off!
Welcome to the opening instalment of Grab, Avoid or Bore off for the 2016-17 season. Lovely to be back with you the wonderful FPL community and guess what I have in store for all of you? The same 3 fellas who always do it…well, that was an exciting announcement. Much like Wenger, I don’t like to spend money for any new strikers, so no need to break up the 3 Amigos. Unlike Wenger’s crew, this trio of attacking talent always delivers the goods, sort of. Showing that they haven’t lost a step and have all the important nuggets of information you all desire, they reveal to us things like Cahill is Cahill (shocker), that Kop is actually Mr. Excitement, that I might have a soft spot for Costa, that Cookie is absolutely ready when it comes to cheap strikers and that Init has figured out the Italian secret for preserving ageing defenders. Yes!! Yes!! With that kind of info, you certainly can’t afford to not read up and get yourself ready for the upcoming season. So without further ado, bring on Bore off!

i love the defence and forwards, understandably, the mid becomes weaker because of it, but any of these might turn out good returns (and then there’s hazard)
and even if one of the heavy hitters fail, easier to remove them within the first couple of weeks, then to run after them if they hit the ground running.
what do you guys think?

I like it Jasprit. Your forwards are great and your defence is solid. Obviously that leaves you with just one standout player in midfield but both Redmond & Townsend could score well. Keep an eye on Smith as I don’t think he’s guaranteed to start.

2. City, Utd and Chelsea, In that order.
3. Mikitaryan
4. Depends on what you see as budget. Cheap as chips: valdes, friend, Bolasie , negredo ( not that cheap but I cant see value In forwards below 6.5).

I do have 0.5 itb if needs be. Maybe schlupp for shaw? Personally i think the united back line has to get comfortable playing together so i dont think there will be consistent cs, but thats just me?. Also, before you all judge me on juan, i would like to say that he does have 2 assists in 2 games and Mourinho doesn’t look like he’s gonna get rid of him, yet. He said it was mata’s decision to leave.
The thing bothering me is Zlatan. I heard he will play in Sweden when united play galatasaray on the 30th so we’ll have to wait and see for that.
I’m planning to go strong first 3 or 4 gws and then wildcard, hence the double man city

Hey FPLad, this team is good mate. I personally don’t think Mata will play and at 7.5 there are better more nailed on options. I’d go with Ayew, Siggy, Barkley, Arnie you could even use the 0.5 to bring in Couthino even Ramsey. Rest of the team looks good mate.

Sit on Mata just now until you see the Community Shield line up for United. I think that will be their starting line up for the week after in the league (sure hope do anyway).
Mata could be brilliant for his price. What worries me is the reason behind Jose selling him from Chelsea in the first place.
I’m not 100% sure if it is but I think it’s safer to have him for the first few games and be wrong than to not have him and he scores a tonne. It’s easier to sell him if he isn’t doing well than it is to buy him in if he is. That’s just my two cents though mate, others may disagree.
i personally believe a chelsea defence this season is going to be a must. possibly even united defence.
and to be honest, i don’t really dig this midfield, but that’s just me.
would rather see 3 of them to be from the likes of hazard, de bruyne, sanchez, ozil, mkhitaryan in there. and then the fourth depends on the remaining bank.

Really can’t wait for the season to commence in a couple of weeks time. Only my second active season in FP but I’m really anxious, haha. Anyway could you give me feedback on my team, linked below. Will really appreciate that.
Have tried to balance it as well as I could. Just a little worried about no Lukaku though, getting a niggling feeling that I might pay for it. But really want all of KDB, Haz and Miki in there too. Cheers!
both aguero and de bruyne is overkill. at least for now. if city turn out to be attacking dominanc, then maybe later.
for now, i would go for lukaku over de bruyne.

Not sure if it’s overkill but could go either way. Maybe better spreading the coverage but they could be top striker and top midfielder at the end of the season

@Frunsix, I see everyone else commenting on your attacking players, so I will dive into your keepers. If the plan is to rotate, they are not great partners. Vito, Valdes or Mandanda assuming those 3 are the starters would probably make a better partner for Foster in my opinion.
