Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!

Grab, Avoid or Bore off!

Welcome to another installment of Grab, Avoid or Bore off for the 2015-16 season. No better time to put out a semi-helpful article, as we start getting into the tough weeks. You can no longer get away with flying by the seat of your pants (finger pointed firmly at you Mitro) with blanks and double game-weeks, and the chips starting to get used by those that still have them. For long, many have believed that a lot of the higher ranked players are there more by fluke than anything. So as we head down the stretch expect the managers with well thought out plans to start climbing up the overall, so if them managers were truly fluky they will be exposed. So with that in mind, we hope the 3 Amigos of mediocrity can help a little, even if it is by pure chance that they call one right this season.

OOPS Daniels missed a peno. Will they change to someone else so do you sell him?

Really need Man city and Spurs to lose tomorrow smile

I could really do with Spurs losing too but I guess many will have 2 if not 3 anyway so we are all likely to be in the same boat regardless. Can’t say I’m fussed about the other but it’ll certainly shape my next transfers that one. City not playing in GW30 will see many ditch Aguero or at least push them over the edge on that one if they were considering doing so anyway. It may be an odd tipping point though as surely everyone would want him for GW29 regardless.

I kinda hope all teams go through, leaving a despicable game-week for us all to whine about laugh

      • inittowinit says:

NIN! Someone to speak to! I got nothing to say though laugh **thinks of some idle small talk** How’s the new job going mate? The permanent one that is. Better and more settled I hope? What are your plans for FPL this week and what are you doing about Aguero given GW29, that’s if you’ve not already offed him.

        • NIN says:

Haha, evening buddy. Job is going great, i’m getting the hours i want and there’s no more carnage with rosters and mental weeks. Happy days. How are things on your end, all good i hope..

I’ve already spent this weeks FT, sold Firmino for Mahrez as i had no Leicester cover at all. I’m not selling Aguero unless he gets injured or a worthy DGW dictates it. I’m as interested in that Liverpool defence as i am the Villa crew when it comes to Aguero. If Norwich can put four past them……

Brilliant mate, happy it’s worked out for you, hopefully more of a settled routine for you now which always helps. All good here I think, usual chaos juggling kids, real work and this! Wouldn’t have it any other way though.

Good point on Kun and Pool. You just never know with that pair which team will turn up on the day. I’m probably keeping him also but I’ll have to have a proper look at some stage. Plan here in my mind without really studying my squad is Firmino and Moreno to Mahrez and Huth / Fuchs. Tomorrow’s results may change that though.

        • NIN says:

That’s true, it’s very hard to predict which way Liverpool / City will perform. Blanks and doubles may change things as you say but for now i’m not even contemplating selling him. Norwich, United, B’moth and West Brom after the Villa game; i’d hate t not have him for those games.

I think I am gonna sit GW30 out.Everyone else is gonna be in the same boat so why stress? Gonna tweak 1 or 2 but nothing major. Why destroy a solid team for 1 week.Got 5 playing up to now but not expecting many more!!

      inittowinit says:

I’m thinking the same, sort of. Guess we can tweak ahead of it given that we have maybe 4/5 free transfers prior to it but I won’t be taking in players who play just for the sake of it if there’s no good reason to beyond that week. I’ll take a blank over someone who will likely grab a 2 pointer and be useless after it and take up the spot of a main player who I wished I then had. Fortunately only 1 of my ML rivals has a WC left and he’s not daft enough to use it that week, although I hope he does smile

    Just to update then…

Given the FA Cup results so far GW30 now looks like this…

Norwich vs Man City – off if Man City win
Aston Villa vs Spurs – off if Spurs win
Bournemouth vs Swansea – 100% PLAYING
Man Utd vs Crystal Palace – off if either win
    Stoke v Southampton – 100% PLAYING
    (Sunderland v Everton – OFF!)
(West Ham vs Watford – OFF!)
Arsenal vs West Brom – off if Arsenal win their replay (v Hull)
Liverpool vs Chelsea – off if Chelsea win
    Leicester v Newcastle – 100% PLAYING
