Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19

Whilst we all hate International Breaks to disrupt our FPL flow they are at least good for one thing and that’s an opportunity to put some of our favourite FPL managers on the spot and ask them a few pertinent questions. This week though we’ve decided to give them a break and have instead drafted in some others… 😉

First up is everybody’s favourite professional Geordie. Long gone are the days of steel workers and miners filling the terraces of Newcastle, your modern day Toon hero is a bit of a lush who drinks Prosecco most nights and takes showers with his dogs, apparently! Except of course on a Sunday, on the tipple front anyway, no idea about his pet shower schedule! Guinness or Newcastle Brown you ask? Noooooo… champagne, naturally! A warm welcome to Rosco.

To be fair to our second contestant if he was ever called a ‘favourite’ he’d take it as an insult as he makes a living out of being everybody’s worst nightmare. He’ll hate me saying this though: he’s actually a genuinely nice guy in real life! Please welcome the sheep in devil’s clothing that is Mito. A frosty welcome to Mito!

Our final contestant (no idea why I keep calling them contestants, but let’s roll with it!) is a bit of an enigma. He’s well known in FF247 circles but mainly ‘behind the scenes’ as he’s our main IT brain. He’s been slow to make a name for himself in the front of house community but has been taking baby steps in that direction this season. Probably doesn’t help that whenever he does some smart arse (Mito) usually welcomes him to the site as a newbie! He’s actually a member of the FF247 Site Team committee, and provides us with invaluable copy each week, albeit often unintentionally! A warm welcome to Floydeth.

Ok, let’s get it on!

Well done to all involved. A great read as always

Interesting to see that all three of you said (at least for this year) overall rank rather than your mini-league is your main aim. I’d rather come top of my mini-league and 100,000th overall, than 4th in my mini-league and 50,000th overall! laugh

Great read for the way home this.

    Thank you all.

OR is my bag. I’ll never get to last year’s again but a respectable top 50,000 would do.

Be nice to win the work one but I’ve won it a few times and the magic has rubbed off somewhat.

Mine is 100% mini league, I am against all men and a couple of then say I can’t play fantasy football because I am a girl! Just want to beat them really.

I’m actually pleased Mendy is out as he was my reluctant cash cow! Now I can do it without the worry he’ll punish me!

Semi pleased in a way as I was all a bit checkmate on getting Sterling in with 2 City defenders and Kun blocking that move. Means an extra and unexpected transfer out but probably pushes me in the right direction long term, inadvertently!

Yes. Funnily enough he was the one RAMmer I was thinking of throwing over anyway (though I wasn’t planning the move for this GW).
