Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW22

Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW22. Finally, we can return to normal, normal in the sense that this article covers just a single week’s predictions because of course we also have yet another DGW to contend with.

Before we get on to the winners a quick bit of housekeeping and a message from the lovely Matt – If you could do two things for me for the article, please. Let people know that the 3 added games to the DGW were not included in the predictions so no one got an unfair advantage. Secondly, if anyone thinks their results have been left out or missed please let me know and direct me to their post as there was a slight issue with Word not saving and I had to try to piece the results together so might have missed someone but think I fixed it.

So there you go! Who won?

The winner of GW19 went to the wire; Init and Goldilocks who both scored 11pts, however, Goldilocks FGS prediction was the closest (14 minutes) compared to Init’s (18 minutes) FGS KDB scoring in the 5th minute. 3rd place was shared with a host of people on 9 points.

The winner of GW20 was Ko Nay with 10pts. 2nd place was Stone Frog on 8pts. 3rd place was Mahelmy on 7pts.

The winner of GW21 was Bejo with 9 points. Tied for 2nd place was Irfan7cr and Albox both with 8pts.

And so; Many Congratulations to Goldilocks, Ko Nay and Bejo . Please email us here; contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize.

League table

THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… Scoring couldn’t be simpler:
Correct Score = 3 points
Correct result = 1 point
Correct First Goalscorer of the game-week = 5 points

(to clarify this is who you think will score the 1st goal of the entire GW, not just in any game you choose to pick yourself!)

(Points are awarded on an ‘either/or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or 1 point for a Correct Result, these are never added together for a 4 point score.)

Tie-Breaker In the event that two or more members are tied as winners for the week the overall winner of the t-shirt will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction of the time that the first goal of the week will be scored at. Nearest the pin wins.

The Rules… They are few; 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first game of the game-week. Kick-off this week comes on Friday at 8:00 pm. Once all the games have been played, we’ll count up the scores and the winner(s) will be announced in the following week’s competition article and each week our winner will walk away with an FF247 branded t-shirt! ). So just to recap all you need to do is; – Copy and paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each. – Tell us who you think will be the first goal scorer of the week (and that can be from any game regardless of your other predictions) – Add in your time of the first goal of the week for any potential tie-breaker situation.

Here are the fixtures, best of luck to you all!

Is gw22 really a ‘big’ gameweek? Ben C says yes (along with gw36), but is not himself using a FH. Some online pundits say save the two FHs for bgw30 and dgw36, and others suggest others, unspecified, may manifest themselves. But Smash’s helpful table didn’t identify other clear prospects.
Which way to go? I can mobilize 7 dgwers for gw22 with one hit (well, Lowton…), and 11 with a FH, but the candidates for the latter, while an improvement, are no guarantee of an extra 20-30 points. Hmmm….
