Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW25

Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW25. Its been a dramatic few days over here at Harry and Lloyd’s, but we can announce that on deadline day we pushed through a deal and are happy to announce that site regular and contributor DMC has agreed to join the H&L team for an undisclosed fee and has signed a 10-year deal.

Sometimes strange things happen in life, Newcastle beating Man City would be one such example, another example would be someone actually putting their name forward to not only count up all the predictions each game-week, but to then put them in a shiny new ‘updated weekly’ league table. Well, both of those things happened this week. When DMC (who must be a glutton for punishment) put his name forward for what is if I’m honest a sometimes thankless task, we didn’t hesitate to snap his hand off. So whilst I celebrate our unexpected 3pts, our new recruit DMC will be doing the unenviable task of totting up the scores and popping them into the table you’ll find below. All is left is to say is: welcome onboard mate, and of course good luck trying to leave!

This weeks winner took top spot thanks to correctly predicting the first goal scorer, it was a tidy 14pts from Leprechaun, enough to see off second-placed Eplnoob on 12pts and the five who trailed in third (league leader DenPerryDidIt, Sam10, Donmourinho, Potty and Red Robbo) with 10pts.

And so; Many Congratulations to Leprechaun. Please email us on contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to claim your prize.

THIS WEEK’S COMPETITION… Scoring couldn’t be simpler: Correct Score = 3 points Correct result = 1 point Correct First Goalscorer of the game-week = 5pts (Points are awarded on an ‘either/or’ basis, so you’ll either score 3 points for a Correct Score or 1 point for a Correct Result, these are never added together for a 4 point score.) Tie-Breaker In the event that two or more members are tied as winners for the week the overall winner of the t-shirt will be decided by a tie-breaker. In order to do this, we ask that you also post your prediction of the time that the first goal of the week will be scored at. Nearest the pin wins.

The Rules… They are few; 1 entry per person and all entries must be submitted prior to the first game of the game-week. Kick-off this week comes on Saturday at 12.30. Once all the games have been played, we’ll count up the scores and the winner(s) will be announced in the following week’s competition article and each week our winner will walk away with an FF247 branded t-shirt! We also have an overall league table which we’ll update on a monthly basis (next update in our GW15 article). So just to recap all you need to do is; – Copy and paste the fixtures from below and pop your score prediction on each. – Tell us who you think will be the first goal scorer of the week (and that can be from any game regardless of your other predictions) – Add in your time of the first goal of the week for any potential tie-breaker situation. Here are the fixtures, best of luck to you all!

    ***NEW ARTICLE – H&L’s PREDICTIONS GW25***

Hello and welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s GW25 predictions!

Wow, transfer deadline day has caused havoc up and down the country and things were no different here. We were forced to push this article back as we frantically tried to push through a peice of business that will quite frankly push us to the next level!

Site regular, contributer and all round crazy man (read more on this in the intro) DMC has joined team H&L, and both Matt and myself could not be happier to have got this one over the line!

So please give a warm welcome to DMC and get those predictions in, the deadline is looming!

Thank fck we finally got someone competent involved! smile Matt still doesn’t understand the rules he helped formulate and Rosco still doesn’t understand what ‘right click’ means despite being an IT professional :hippo:

Anyway… welcome on board DMC and many thanks for the offer of help, Rosco wasn’t kidding when he said ‘10 year contract’ either, good luck in trying to leave, many have tried before you…

I think that DMC must be a glutton for punishment. After spending 3+ years putting a weekly synopsis article by mining 20+ websites, I know how mind grinding the task can be.
Kudos to who was tasked with the job in the past. I just saw the new results table & the points total is only 13 less than I have in my records. No complaints. Only 13 pts difference after 24 weeks of mind-numbing checking is amazing. I’m happy with the results.
I thought about offering my assistance somewhere along the way, but was enjoying my time away from the writing too much. Maybe next season.

Your first customer complaint DMC! Enjoy smile

        • DMC says:

Ehehe It’s all fun. I’ve got you on 6 pts this week Mosc. Is that what you have?

      • DMC says:

Ehehe poor Matt. Let’s say it’s an internet conection problem! smile
Cheers mate, glad to contribute … if and when possible … depending on availability … if I have nothing better to do ….
No? Rosco did mention someting about the Mafia…

        • mosc1938 says:

DMC, you have GW24 count of 6 pts the same as I have. If there was a mistake it was earlier, but no crying over spilled milk. I’m happy with my total. Good luck with the work & if you ever need a break just give a holler.

Ahaha this is brilliant mate. I just wanted to come forward and offer my help to contribute to this amazing site, team and community!
Starting of next season right? I’m sure you read the tiny letters disclaimer. It’s a January signing to join the club in August! Subject to a medical, of course. A mental one surely.
No? Oh, what have I done!! :))

      • inittowinit says:

You’ll be glad to know I have little involvement week to week on this! You’re Rosco’s bitch now smile He’s not quite as bad as me but he’s learning, let’s just say that Matt’s ‘intermittent internet connection’ may be no coincidence!

Seriously though, I’m sure they are very grateful for another helping hand, and I certainly am, thanks mate.

Rosco, name change is needed now, theres 3 of you, so H+L has to go. My choice is Larry, Curly and Mo, the 3 stooges, i’m sure DMC can help you and Matt live up to the antics of those 3 barnpots without to much trouble. laugh
Welcome along for the ride DMC. Oh, by the way, you’ve passed your medical with flying colours. Forged papers are on the way to th FA as we speak.
