Live Match Chat Gameweek 20 FPL News

Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 20 FPL News: We hope you enjoyed your 17 hours free from FPL and football in general! Yes, you read it right, GW19 ended last night and GW20 starts this morning. Now if that doesn’t smack of rotation then we don’t know what does. Obviously the teams are spread out in some sort of equal ‘ish’ fashion but there is also the issue of having so little time that some injuries will not be reported on. It’s a bit hit and hope in that respect at this time of year and so the team sheets will be eagerly anticipated and we begin at 12.30pm with ‘Boro hosting Leicester, followed by four 3pm games and today ends with Man united visiting West Ham. Tuesday evening see three games, before our week and Christmas period itself finally ends on Wednesday with Spurs hosting Chelsea amid echoes of a certain New Years Day fixture two years ago ending up 5-3 to the hosts, albeit a few days earlier than the anniversary.

Took an 8 point hit for Baines, Phillips and Kun. And guess what? So for it has worked out. I am on 51 points with Pieters/Holebas/Sanchez/Stanislas/Costa to go.

I replaced Evans whom got 1 point and Carroll whom got 1 point.
    So Baines/Phillips/Kun vs Evans/Hazard/Carroll = 15+-9+7-8=23 versus 1+?+1=2

Hazard has to score 21 points tomorrow to equal that. Hehe. And still even if he does, I would prefer the players I have instead. laugh

    Conclusion. HITS WORK!

Well done Raz. Sometimes it pays to go with ur gut feeling.

      • Raziel says:

It’s also really about luck though. Hehe. Anyway, ranking is not that important for me and it looks like it will be hard for me to lose my minileague, the one I care about, hehe. So, I can take chances and have fun.

Must admit, the previous hits have not worked out with Walcott being one of them. 😉

What Pep did today also wasn’t very nice, lol. Glad Kun showed his class. Pep looks annoyed, by the way. Not a red? What a joke!

        • man u man says:

I messed up my whole team to bring Kun back in so I was glad to see him getting something from the game. By the way what’s the story with nyom.. Is he going or what?

        • Raziel says:

“Allan’s been called up and if Cameroon want him, they want him, so he’ll be off after the Hull game,” said Pulis.

“It will be a massive miss for us because he’s done fantastic. He’s been a real good player for us and he’s another good character.

Hits work when they work and don’t when they don’t 😛

I know there is a long way to go until the next gw but I need to act tonight due to price falls. Cedric needs to go due to possible injury and going down in price. I have nothing in the bank so needs to be someone 4.9 or below. Options are McAuley, Chambers or Ake although I already have Smith. I have 2FTs for the next gameweek so am happy to make one now and wait on the other of you think it is needed?

    • 110.1
      Raziel says:

Smith needs to be monitored. He’s not playing as defender or back anylonger but as winger. I have him, but I did not like him starting on the bench and replacing Stanislas after 70 somewhat minutes. As a winger/defender he was perfect. I think I have to replace him.

WHy are these pricechanges so important/ 12 days from the next GW? I’m keeping mine. I’m looking at Ake by the way, I see his price has has been frozen, but he will go up once that is done.

Ake is the way to go. ANd BO have 4 decent fixtures. WBA have spurs away next, so not per se a direct transfer I would like to make.

      • igy4 says:

Hey Raz! Only reason I’m concerned about price changes right now, although I do know that the next gameweek is some way off, because I will only get 4.9 for Cedric, he will go down to 4.8 tonight and I wouldn’t be able to afford McAuley for example. I could swap to Ake and I could then wait as price changes won’t matter as much but I already have Smith and wouldn’t want to use both transfers on my defence in case I need it elsewhere. Reason being I wouldn’t want two Bournemouth defenders.

        • inittowinit says:

Easy to say right now given what he did today but I have McAuley and play him most weeks regardless of the fixture in the hope of a goal, he is strong on corners and set-pieces in that respect.

    I need help.

    Team seems unbalanced

was thinking of getting Aguero back in team, but that would mean getting rid of Hazard.

Have 0.5mil in bank and 2FT.

    Any suggestions welcome

      Raziel says:

In all honesty, team doesn’t look all that unbalanced. ANyway, you are talking about bringing Kun back. Guess what? Upgrading IBra/Costa/Kane to him will cost you 2m at least so your team will be more unbalanced after that move, for sure.

Plus, isn’t Zaha going to Afcon? You need to adress that problem first. Next GW starts in 12 days, so maybe sit on the ft’s for a while?

      Andy says:

Zaha’s going to have to go this GW as he’s off to the AFCON, a budget MID that I’ve been looking at to replace him is Stanislas of Bournemouth who at 5.1 should save a little value and I’d pump all saving’s into Danny Simpson to get a marquee defender from one of the top clubs (Mustafi, Valencia, Rose, Baines depending on what you can afford)

    igy4 says:

Also I know the awarding of bonus points is some what of an enigma! Does anyone know exactly what constitutes a save? I’m pretty sure I just saw Heaton make at least 3 saves on MOTD but fpl has him down for 1!

Currently 39k overall which i’m very proud off.

    KI says:

A perhaps naive question. Can one determine how many (second) wildcards are being played? I’m having a little difficulty believing some of the price shifts over the past few days.
