Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 FPL News: After a sensational Alvaro Negredo display in DGW 34, we head into a buffer of sorts. With doubles in 34, 36 and 37, this GW we can relax a little, sort of. We kick it off with four 3pm fixtures. It is pure excitement when the low scoring Saints tangle with a difficult opponent to not score on, Hull. It should be a test of wills to see who underperforms more, the Saints attack or the Hull defence. If you think that doesn’t offer enough to make you fall asleep, perhaps a taste of Stoke vs West Ham? Over the last 10 matches these two are 16th in 17th in points and have scored 20 goals combined over those 10×2 games. Yeah, a goal a game. So snooze should be on the loose in this one. For those that don’t need a mid afternoon nap, I present to you Sunderland vs Bournemouth. This could provide us with comedy gold, in particular on defence, as neither team attempts to play any. The last of the opening 4 fixtures sees West Brom welcome in Leicester, yeah, moving on. In the 5:30 game Palace hosts those away stars, Burnley. With 3 draws in their last 6 away games, think we can say they are in-form, perhaps I will place a bet on them.

Luckily after enduring a Saturday of not having any real footy to watch and feeling properly rested, we come to Sunday. Yes, yes, yes, yes…sorry was watching when Harry met Sally orga, errrr, restaurant scene. Where were we at? Oh yes, Sunday footy. Lunch time sees the battle for fourth resume, as United tangles with a Swansea side who also has a lot to play for. Both teams in need of a win, will hopefully lead to some goals, maybe, Jose is capable of sucking the fun out of any game, so be aware. That is followed by two 2pm-ish encounters. Boro and their vaunted attack will look to score some goals, well, a goal vs City. City’s fans (player’s families) will want to get out of that red velvet sandwich they are currently caught in with LFC one point ahead and United one point behind tickling their tuckus. We also see Lukaku’s former and future employer Chesea visit Goodison looking to inch closer to the title. CFC has slowly let Spurs crawl back into the race, so they can break their hearts again at the end. In the last Sunday fixture we have the possibility of pure joy. We see the possibility of killing 2 dreams with one stone. When Spurs face Arsenal only one result would do us right. A loss for Tottenham would all but end Spurs title dreams to their bitter rivals and hopefully such a result would lead to a new contract for Wenger. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Monday finishes off the GW with Watford hosting Liverpool. Should be a very predictable game. If City and United win expect LFC to do also, If either of the Manchester sides drop points expect LFC to. If there is one thing we know is that if LFC is given an opportunity, they let it slip away.

Please join us as ever to discuss the games as they happen and share your feelings, successes and woes as the action unfolds and hopefully the FPL points flood in for you.

    I don’t have a WC…so won’t be posting a zillion teams…
I ll leave that to Mitro :hippo:
But I do have a few -4’s in mind…so get ready smile

We’ll all probably need all hands to the pump this week in terms of advice, either asking or getting it. Seeing somebody else’s team always seems so clearer (to me anyway) , than when I look at mine! Big tiring week ahead but I hope everyone is up for it!

      • Ok, you asked for it smile !!
I was just waiting for my 1st victim, hehehe…

        DGW36
        Foster
        Bellerín DGW
        Walcott DGW
        Eriksen
        Walker
        Sterling
        Aguero
Jesus (Gaby to Jesus using FT)
Costa (Lukaku to Costa for a -4)
        Pedro
        King
        Williams
        Jakupovic
        Wasilewski
        Aké

Don’t believe So’ton anymore so instead of using my FT to upgrade 1 of the non-playing defenders to Stephens ( no $ for any other moves), decided to go “all in” and invest in Jesus & Costa…
Logic behind it is that I expect lots of goals in the final GW’s…and I do not believe in So’ton’s defence with that schedule…

And on to DGW37 the plan is :
        DGW37
Willy DGW (Foster to Willy using FT)
        Bellerín DGW
        Walcott DGW
        Eriksen DGW
        Walker DGW
        Sterling DGW
        Agüero DGW
        Jesus DGW
        Costa DGW
        Pedro DGW
        King Easy SGW37
        Williams Easy SGW37
        Jakupovic SGW
(Wasilewski to Stephens ) -> risk it for a -4 or no ?!?
        Aké

        How does it sound ?
Am I missing any other (better) option ?!

p.s. I hope my rivals are off to bad already and are not seeing this laugh !!

        • Smash10 says:

I think those moves make sense. Stephens is prob worth it as well

        • inittowinit says:

Bloody hell! I think it seems fine. A lot depends on Jesus I suppose. Let’s see what tomorrow brings in terms of him.

        • inittowinit says:

          No Sanchez mate?

        • No Alexis and I will probably have to live with that sad
No WC so no way to bring him in w/out dismantling my team…
The only positive in that is my rival doesn’t have him and I’m pretty sure he won’t get him in…
He is a Che fan, so I expect Haz or Costa to come in, once he activates his WC…
These are just predictions, but nothing more I can do…

I can do Luk to Costa tonight and wait till tomorrow night for Jesus…just as a precaution…
But that can be pretty risky for my next moves…
I ll “lose” 0.2 as both Jesus & Stephens are going up tonight…and I will have 0.2 after the Luk to Costa move smile

        • inittowinit says:

Leave Sanchez be then in that case.

      • Smash10 says:

Yeah I find giving advice a lot easier than my team

You tickle mine and I’ll tickle yours and all that…

Starter for 10. state of play as it is now. I intend to double on Arsenal defence but not sure how just yet. Couple of ‘holders’ in there but any suggestions welcomed please.

Bear in mind I seem to have a relatively low TV so be kind! smile

You ll probably not like this move…but..here it goes…
Does Alli to Erik give you the $ to do Davies to Monreal ?

      • inittowinit says:

Davies was one of the ‘place holders’, Monreal was in but it’d mean Son and not Alli. Holding off on that one to see what the overall situation is on that.

        • Smash10 says:

Yeah I’m thinking Son instead of Alli. Think I need the cash. I’m also not sure about Aguero

        • inittowinit says:

I’m getting a headache just thinking about Kun! Main rival bought him in this week and doesn’t have a WC so I’m guessing he did it with a view to maybe TC’ing him in 37 (his only chip left). No issue this week as I have him too. But I’d probably have to cover that on a WC, I think. And wasn’t planning on having him. Messes up the whole WC though really. Although it may end up being a blessing in disguise in that respect. It’s him or Sanchez, on both counts. I’ll just have to monitor his moves this week.

          MITRO – monitor his moves ^ ^ ^ ^ closely please!!!

        • Smash10 says:

Yeah I have taken him out on my wild card. But looking at those fixtures I may bring him back as he could score big. I also look at those Spurs fixtures and they look tough. Things could become clearer after the Spurs and Chelsea games

        • inittowinit says:

I may have to if it doesn’t look like he can or will get Sanchez. I’ll just take Wally instead.

        • Init – I am staring at it for 30mins now and I don’t see many options, tbh…w/in that budget…
What I would do (if I had that team) is – Alli to Erik ; Sane to Sterling ; Moses to Kante & Gabbi to Jesus…
Not convinced on Gabby at all, after today…

I know you appreciate Alli more, but Mr. Consistent is my choice…
          You already have Kane, so…
Alli will probably share the pts with Son…and Mr. Consistent won’t get rotated…
You don’t have Kun, so the Jesus card seems logical, too…

          What do you think ?

        • If you decide to stick with Kun (as mentioned above)…
That will mean getting rid of Costa or Kane…
Logic says you have a Spurs player in Alli and no Che player (read Haz) if you ditch Costa…
So, this will mean you should probably ditch Kane…

So, that will mean Alexis to Wally & Kane to Kun…

That way you ll be “covered” on Sergio if your rival has him…

p.s. I’m still voting “for” on the above moves even in this scenario (Sane or Sterling is a personal preference ; but Alli to Erik still makes more sense to me at least…)

        • inittowinit says:

Thanks HL, your feedback is much appreciated. I’m off to bed now but when I pick up on this again tomorrow night I will be straight back to these points as my first port of call before I do anything else. #bookmarked

    Morning all,

Any feedback on this WC team would be much appreciated.

I’m chasing a 30 point deficit in my ML so looking to maximise both DGW’s.

BB is going to be played GW37.

    Cheers
