Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 36 FPL News: Welcome to the double before the DOUBLE! Don’t let the appetizer feel fool you though, this small DGW will be just as vital when it is all said and done in fpl. For those of you who like to drown in misery for more time than you really should, do we have a treat for you. This game-week starts on a Friday and ends the following Wednesday, so plenty of time to second guess yourself while the actual GW drags on and on. The Hammers and Spurs kick it all off with an 8pm fixture. West Ham has won once in their last 10, Tottenham has lost once in their last 10. Hmmmm, I wonder how this is going to go?

On Saturday we get it rolling with a lunch time affair between City and Palace. City needs to win by at least 2 goals to take over third place and Palace with a win 99.9% secures the top flight for next season. 3pm brings us four fixtures. Cherry power tangles with on vacation Stoke, The Clarets play a round of golf with The Baggies, Hull plays the new biggest game ever vs nobody, nobody at all, although some people call them Sunderland. The Foxes and Watford round out the three o’clock games, both teams all but secure their spot in the top league with 1 point, I know what South Americans would do. The last of the Saturday squabbles end with in-need Swansea hosting Everton.

Sunday brings us only two fixtures, but both should be a lot of fun. Liverpool is so close yet so far away to securing a top 4 spot, all they have to do is beat their B team, Southampton. How hard can this be? Really? Just threaten to stop buying their players, job done. In the late game, we see Arsenal and United battle to the death…on twitter and not the players, their fans. Who was better, who was what in the early 2000s. FA cup matters more than the Europa, Europa hands out a Champions League spot, you paid x amount for Pogdab, you still have Wenger, blah blah blah. Meanwhile on the field, United will field whoever is brave enough and Arsenal will play a bunch of overpaid (yeah, even at Arsenal that happens) crybabies who would rather be somewhere else.

Monday brings with it one fixture. Chelsea will inch closer to the title and all but finish relegating Middlesbrough when these two face-off at Stamford Bridge. Hopefully Diego scores one or two before he heads off to China to get even older and live in luxury as he so deserves. Turning on Brazil, asking players from an opposing team to let his team (Rayo Vallecano vs Granada) score and stamping on people rewarded with millions.

Wednesday sees the end of this mini double. As Saints welcome in Arsenal for each of those teams second affair of the GW. Frankly who knows what we will see here. Southampton is just playing out the string and by the time The Gunners arrive at St. Mary’s stadium for all intents and purposes they could be also.

Only gets an assist but v questionable.

Bring on full use of video technology. Too many games are being spoiled by poor judgement of officials

Albrighton !!! Get in!!! I’ll take his 8 pts Cookie!! Just messing, you managed to get the Ndidi call right too, which is huge and brutal.

Going well in my ML so far this week. (Not that anyone else particularly cares!). Rival took a -8 and he’s gained 1 point from it all so far. Romeu left so hardly worried that it will turn into much more than a 5 gain on the hit. Result.

Oooh, now then… need a Swansea goal. He has Jags. That’s awkward.

Come on Swansea, hammer us! laugh

What s more more important to you win your ml or overall ranking ;well I know it s different answer for everyone, but this gw may destroy my good overall rank it s turning very bad for me, although I m still secure in my ml,first and secure, but still not satisfied with current results and points.

My ML, but this season i’m crap. Still 2nd but everytime i get something so does the leader. Both on a WC and he gets KDB, done nowt for months and bang, he gets a goal, 2 assists and 3 bonus pts. It just ain’t working this season for me.

Cash league -> FF247 league -> OR, for me, I guess the last two tend to go hand in hand as with the size of the FF247 league as you ain’t going to do poorly in that and well at the OR.

My ML is what keeps my interest but as my ranks improved that’s became an interesting venture! Last year was my first and I got 77k so my goal was always to beat that which I think is well achieved now, but last year I lost my ML by 8 points and he’s now my ‘nemesis’ as Raz would say! Looking like I’ll hold him off an take it this year unless something goes badly wrong!!

Bragging rights when with friends, which is how it all started back in 2007, so it’s got to be the ML, that also is a cash league!

      So ml more important to majority. Well I am more close than ever to win mine I didn t play defence to keep my lead,but my transfers were made to make better my overall rank,for the first time within the top 30 k,and want to keep it that way. I have one question, how many leagues are there in ff247 that I can participate ;

      • Andy says:

        1147-701

That’s the league code for the normal FF247classic league and Elleffcee is the gatekeeper to the regulars cash prize league so if you want the code for that then you’ll have to ask him, as theirs prize’s on the line that code doesn’t go public.

      inittowinit says:

Great question teo. ML by a mile for me. In the past I’ve often got a lead and then simply blocked if needed to. I’ve even been guilty of blocking unnecessarily with a huge lead, just out of paranoia! If I finish 10k or 50k now I don’t care – I want #1 in my ML. I’m struggling to remember a RMT comment which mentioned OR as opposed to ML as a motivation.

      • teo says:

I think that motivation is always there, even if you don’t have a rival like raz….or a ml to chase, first for the fun of the game we all love and second to outscore your last season or your best overall rank or your best overall points.

        • inittowinit says:

That’s true too of course. I’ll clarify the above in relation to that then – I play to get the highest OR possible for about 34 weeks. Doing that should be the goal. That leads you to where you are in your ML. Come the closing stages I’ll then do whatever it takes to win it in those last few weeks. Well I say ‘whatever’, I’ve not actually killed anyone yet, but…. smile

        • DMC says:

          *yet* eheh
