Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 36 FPL News: Welcome to the double before the DOUBLE! Don’t let the appetizer feel fool you though, this small DGW will be just as vital when it is all said and done in fpl. For those of you who like to drown in misery for more time than you really should, do we have a treat for you. This game-week starts on a Friday and ends the following Wednesday, so plenty of time to second guess yourself while the actual GW drags on and on. The Hammers and Spurs kick it all off with an 8pm fixture. West Ham has won once in their last 10, Tottenham has lost once in their last 10. Hmmmm, I wonder how this is going to go?

On Saturday we get it rolling with a lunch time affair between City and Palace. City needs to win by at least 2 goals to take over third place and Palace with a win 99.9% secures the top flight for next season. 3pm brings us four fixtures. Cherry power tangles with on vacation Stoke, The Clarets play a round of golf with The Baggies, Hull plays the new biggest game ever vs nobody, nobody at all, although some people call them Sunderland. The Foxes and Watford round out the three o’clock games, both teams all but secure their spot in the top league with 1 point, I know what South Americans would do. The last of the Saturday squabbles end with in-need Swansea hosting Everton.

Sunday brings us only two fixtures, but both should be a lot of fun. Liverpool is so close yet so far away to securing a top 4 spot, all they have to do is beat their B team, Southampton. How hard can this be? Really? Just threaten to stop buying their players, job done. In the late game, we see Arsenal and United battle to the death…on twitter and not the players, their fans. Who was better, who was what in the early 2000s. FA cup matters more than the Europa, Europa hands out a Champions League spot, you paid x amount for Pogdab, you still have Wenger, blah blah blah. Meanwhile on the field, United will field whoever is brave enough and Arsenal will play a bunch of overpaid (yeah, even at Arsenal that happens) crybabies who would rather be somewhere else.

Monday brings with it one fixture. Chelsea will inch closer to the title and all but finish relegating Middlesbrough when these two face-off at Stamford Bridge. Hopefully Diego scores one or two before he heads off to China to get even older and live in luxury as he so deserves. Turning on Brazil, asking players from an opposing team to let his team (Rayo Vallecano vs Granada) score and stamping on people rewarded with millions.

Wednesday sees the end of this mini double. As Saints welcome in Arsenal for each of those teams second affair of the GW. Frankly who knows what we will see here. Southampton is just playing out the string and by the time The Gunners arrive at St. Mary’s stadium for all intents and purposes they could be also.

    Milburn says:

Lads I’m in a conundrum. Was planning on doing lukaku and Grant to Costa and coutouis but looks like I’ll only be able to do it tonight due to price changes. I know it goes against every rule in the book bringing players in before they’ve even played but would u take the risk or play it safe and just be able to afford 1 of them? (Bench boost active for next week)

      BayernFan says:

Yeah do it, I do it all the time and only been burned 3 times this entire season for it.

    • 49.2

I say no Milburn. It’s too early, Costa could be injured on Monday AND Lukaku has Watford next. That to me needs some more thinking.

If you really need Costa, we’ll find the funds for you later in the week. There’s always a way.

      Andy says:

I don’t think it’s worth early transfers this GW for the Chelski players, I’d have them down as winning the next two so I’d to expect them to rotate for that mid week game on the DGW, I’d at the very least wait till after the Monday game before making a decision though.

      • BayernFan says:

He only has tonight to do it any longer and it will cost a hit, this late in the season it’s very competitive every point counts Lukaku or his goalies don’t have DGW. I personally say high risk high reward in this case it’s worth the risk for a high return.

        • Andy says:

It’s going to cost a hit anyway he does it by the looks of it, like GP says theirs always another way.

      Milburn says:

      Appreciate the feedback fellas

      Rosco77 says:

I agree with the lads Milburn, far too early, Costa could get injured and Vardy could get a hatrick ( I hope!!) and you could then get him instead as he’s 0.4 cheaper … be strong and don’t do something you may regret!

      • Milburn says:

Cheers Rosco. I know deep down it’s the sensible option but it’s frustrating when u have a solid plan that’s going to be ruined by ppl making rapid transfers.

      • Rosco77 says:

If its of any use I wouldn’t take much notice of the predictions as they’ve been way off this last week. The DGW totally skews them, I waited on Gabbi going up by .1 last week and he was predicted to go up 5 nights in a row and didn’t go up until last night which was of no use to me!

        • Milburn says:

Was this on FFFix? Thats what ive been using and i know lukaku was due to drop last night but didn’t.

        • Rosco77 says:

Yeah they’ve been far from accurate of late, I’m not saying those changes won’t happen as they might but you only have to look at the risers from last week ( hardly any) to know that they’re not very accurate during a DGW!

        • inittowinit says:

They “think” the threshold is doubled for WC transfers. So basically they don’t actually know.

        • Rosco77 says:

Yup if they don’t know I certainly wouldn’t hang your hat on what they predict, still useful just needs a little tweaking somewhere!

        • Milburn says:

          Noted 😉

    Afternoon everyone

Rosco/Milburn – off to a BBQ this afternoon with a couple of Geordie boys. They work up here now, brilliant lads and love a drink. Not seen them since promotion. I think they’ll get me drunk!

Check the sunshine in Scotland today!

    constantine says:

Shit.. missed the game. What a thrashing. How was Jesus BTW. He got only an assist in the whole goal fest. Is De Bruyne looking really good? Will need to make arrangements if he was fine.

    • 51.1
      BayernFan says:

De Bruyne playing like Chelsea should be kicking themselves for letting him go. Still wouldn’t get him for the price though.

Jesus was good not great, unlucky he got the top bar.

Man of the match has to be Kompany though for his stunning goal and clean sheet

    • 51.2
      Milburn says:

Constantine, Jesus was in the right place the whole match but just never got that perfect pass, on another day he would of scored a couple.
KDB had an amazing game but my personal opinion is that he’s still overpriced for playing deep and I wouldn’t expect him to get similar scores week in week out

      • constantine says:

Milburn. Thanks a lot for the reply mate. Its just that you feel very sorry for your team when it doesn’t have someone like DeBruyne who’s just scored a 15 pointer GW. But, I’ll consider what you’ve said above and keep faith in my selections for now. Cheers

    Pancho says:

No one playing in these 4 matches except Capoue on the bench. Still can’t believe I forgot to switch the armband from Kane to Sanchez…
green arrows right now but not holding my breath.

    Pancho says:

Who was it that I saw had Ndidi in their WC team? Well played! Did you play them this week?

  6. 54
    BayernFan says:

Team look alright for the big game week? Bench all good? Not sure how many differentials I have besides Rooney and Monreal but it is what it is still room for change.

    • 54.1
      inittowinit says:

      Can’t give advise I’m afraid. I didn’t qualify for the cup…

      • BayernFan says:

That’s not what I said. I said the ones who were demanding I link my team and ciritsized my advice most of them happened to not qualified for the cup.

I never said it was you or anyone in particular just a general statement. Advice and constructive feedback from anyone here is welcome

        • inittowinit says:

You need to lighten up a bit perhaps? It was a joke but I’d have put my house on you biting instead.

        • BayernFan says:

Jokes are all well and good but I am genuinely looking for feedback on this team as well before any price rises happen.

        • inittowinit says:

Give us more info then. What’s ITB? Are you going to BB or is it a TC week. Is it a WC? Have you taken any hits already? Why’ve you got 2 Man U strikers? smile

        • BayernFan says:

I have spent all my chips and free transfers I have 61 transfers this season.

Two united strikers are my differentials and have a role I play now that ibra is injured.

I have taken no hits for 3 weeks however

        • DMC says:

Waxys – one of the pics you showed in this thread says 68 transfers. I’m wondering, is that from Barcafan’s or Myfarewell’s team?

        • BayernFan says:

68 then it was off the top of my head close enough I reckon. Let’s not get into conspiracies here I’m no fraud lol

      • Milburn says:

Stalks other people’s teams but is too embarrassed to link his own. Cringing

      • Smash10 says:

What’s even the criteria for qualifying for the cup seriously what is this guy on about?

    • 54.2
      Rosco77 says:

      Touché Init touché!
What a knacker that lad is!

    • 54.3
      Rosco77 says:

You give the best advice round here so who are we to advice! Don’t think I qualified for the cup either…

      • BayernFan says:

Well of course I made the team to the best of my ability. But everyone has a different perspective that perhaps I didn’t see and would be a perfect addition to my squad

    • 54.4
      TheDreamers says:

What’s itb? Prepared to lose the united players?

    • 54.5
      constantine says:

Waxys. what are Rooney, Herera, Rashford, Coutinho, jagielka doing in your team. Take some hits and get rid of them

      • BayernFan says:

Rooney hasn’t failed to score for me since I bought him in. Herrera is cheap and has double gameweeks Coutinho and Rashford I’m willing to get rid off but not much of their quality in that price bracket. And Jagielka is a benchie from a while back in case Everton have good fixtures.

        • constantine says:

I’m a Utd fan too..But, this is on another level. And for Coutinho and Rashford, just open the transfers sheet. i’m sure there are plenty of DGW options there.

        • BayernFan says:

I have most I can do for Coutinho is Sterling. Rashford is the best option I think at £6.5 no one else is that cheap.
