Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 36 FPL News: Welcome to the double before the DOUBLE! Don’t let the appetizer feel fool you though, this small DGW will be just as vital when it is all said and done in fpl. For those of you who like to drown in misery for more time than you really should, do we have a treat for you. This game-week starts on a Friday and ends the following Wednesday, so plenty of time to second guess yourself while the actual GW drags on and on. The Hammers and Spurs kick it all off with an 8pm fixture. West Ham has won once in their last 10, Tottenham has lost once in their last 10. Hmmmm, I wonder how this is going to go?
On Saturday we get it rolling with a lunch time affair between City and Palace. City needs to win by at least 2 goals to take over third place and Palace with a win 99.9% secures the top flight for next season. 3pm brings us four fixtures. Cherry power tangles with on vacation Stoke, The Clarets play a round of golf with The Baggies, Hull plays the new biggest game ever vs nobody, nobody at all, although some people call them Sunderland. The Foxes and Watford round out the three o’clock games, both teams all but secure their spot in the top league with 1 point, I know what South Americans would do. The last of the Saturday squabbles end with in-need Swansea hosting Everton.
Sunday brings us only two fixtures, but both should be a lot of fun. Liverpool is so close yet so far away to securing a top 4 spot, all they have to do is beat their B team, Southampton. How hard can this be? Really? Just threaten to stop buying their players, job done. In the late game, we see Arsenal and United battle to the death…on twitter and not the players, their fans. Who was better, who was what in the early 2000s. FA cup matters more than the Europa, Europa hands out a Champions League spot, you paid x amount for Pogdab, you still have Wenger, blah blah blah. Meanwhile on the field, United will field whoever is brave enough and Arsenal will play a bunch of overpaid (yeah, even at Arsenal that happens) crybabies who would rather be somewhere else.
Monday brings with it one fixture. Chelsea will inch closer to the title and all but finish relegating Middlesbrough when these two face-off at Stamford Bridge. Hopefully Diego scores one or two before he heads off to China to get even older and live in luxury as he so deserves. Turning on Brazil, asking players from an opposing team to let his team (Rayo Vallecano vs Granada) score and stamping on people rewarded with millions.
Wednesday sees the end of this mini double. As Saints welcome in Arsenal for each of those teams second affair of the GW. Frankly who knows what we will see here. Southampton is just playing out the string and by the time The Gunners arrive at St. Mary’s stadium for all intents and purposes they could be also.

Ugh triple Spurs what a waste
Sell sell sell!!!
Like Arsenal will try to sell Wenger? :p
Like Arsenal have to sell Sanchez. :p
Weren’t expecting that now my team is pretty messed up
Think a lot of us could be in deep doo doo!!
Kane to vardy next week is defo on the cards!
Kane to Vardy would free up a lot of cash to do Redmond to a better midfielder.
Hmmmmm
Speak up Cookie. What are you thinking?
I’m thinking how I wished I didn’t own three Spurs idiots
I think tonight just ended my season, ML wise. Was chasing 50 pts and triple spurs is pretty much my only differential on the leader. I’m now planning my transfers – luckily I have 2FT and can take a -4 to change my team a bit, and hope for some luck to come my way.
Any Italians out there familiar with Conte? Is he the type of manager that will bench bigger players and give the young ones a chance? Kind of worried about Alonso and Pedro now.
i am Italian man. as far as i can tell he is very pragmatic and doesnt like to change a lot. I reckon he will push hard until things aren’t wrapped up. Though i fear that once the league is won, i believe after the west brom game, he will do big turnover with the FA cup in mind. I think i will ditch one of costa or hazard for the last game for sure.
Btw let me take the opportunity to thank all the writers and the regulars who post regularly for the great help they provide. I wouldnt be having the season i am having without the site!
Great rank colonel! You too are pragmatic! Good shout that on the FA cup regarding last gw.
Thanks buddy. Appreciate it. But I still cannot get over the fact I sold Alonso before his 21 point haul. If only I could foresee……..?
Lol the questioning mark was meant to be a winking eye 😉
Dropped Ali to get Sanchez, cool.
Still got Eriksen and Kane tho…mmm !
Good news my nemesis (as Raz would say) captained Kane ..lol.
Like, we have a lot of rivals in the game. If you are doing thins well, you have 1 real rival. A nemesis. Hehe. 😉
Here Cookie, I’ve always said that Kane’s shit away from home 😉
Milburn, exactly – awful mate! Hahaha now if only I owned Vardy
I know a man who does… thanks Cookie you’re my hero!
It was your decision Rosco, not mine! Let’s hope Vardy does it for you tomorrow – fingers crossed mate.
Fair play Rosco. That was a ballsy decision and at the minute it seems to have paid off!
If I did not own Kane and Vardy I would have problems elsewhere. I would also have had Son, so it’s not like I would have been in the clear. 😉
Seriously? You peddled the absolute shit out of that poor bloke all week! And you don’t even own him?!
I never said i did
I merely said I would own him and not Kane if I had a WC and use the 1.6mln to upgrade those players who were considered doubts.
Was terrified going into that match and I watched it! Ditched Kane and Holgate for Vardy and Monreal and obviously played Monreal over Davies who was set to play, of course it could be moot by the end of the week but for now it gives me hope! Watch Vardy get a red and Arsenal to get wolleped twice now!
6 points from 3 Spurs players. LOL I guess I’m not alone.
They are consistent there’s no denying that: 2 pts on average!
Selling Kane after 1 lesser week is BS though. Titlehopes for Spurs are over. I think Kane still will get his goals. Wonder how Alli and Eriksen will do and what will happen to the defense.
Its not necessarily bullshit when there are only 2 game weeks left. Their heads will be down, there will be less chances created for him….plus they haven’t got the easiest DGW.
At least I dont own Son. :p
Holy crap dude, you own 3 Spurs and let them all 3 play? Hmm, wow.
