Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 36 FPL News: Welcome to the double before the DOUBLE! Don’t let the appetizer feel fool you though, this small DGW will be just as vital when it is all said and done in fpl. For those of you who like to drown in misery for more time than you really should, do we have a treat for you. This game-week starts on a Friday and ends the following Wednesday, so plenty of time to second guess yourself while the actual GW drags on and on. The Hammers and Spurs kick it all off with an 8pm fixture. West Ham has won once in their last 10, Tottenham has lost once in their last 10. Hmmmm, I wonder how this is going to go?

On Saturday we get it rolling with a lunch time affair between City and Palace. City needs to win by at least 2 goals to take over third place and Palace with a win 99.9% secures the top flight for next season. 3pm brings us four fixtures. Cherry power tangles with on vacation Stoke, The Clarets play a round of golf with The Baggies, Hull plays the new biggest game ever vs nobody, nobody at all, although some people call them Sunderland. The Foxes and Watford round out the three o’clock games, both teams all but secure their spot in the top league with 1 point, I know what South Americans would do. The last of the Saturday squabbles end with in-need Swansea hosting Everton.

Sunday brings us only two fixtures, but both should be a lot of fun. Liverpool is so close yet so far away to securing a top 4 spot, all they have to do is beat their B team, Southampton. How hard can this be? Really? Just threaten to stop buying their players, job done. In the late game, we see Arsenal and United battle to the death…on twitter and not the players, their fans. Who was better, who was what in the early 2000s. FA cup matters more than the Europa, Europa hands out a Champions League spot, you paid x amount for Pogdab, you still have Wenger, blah blah blah. Meanwhile on the field, United will field whoever is brave enough and Arsenal will play a bunch of overpaid (yeah, even at Arsenal that happens) crybabies who would rather be somewhere else.

Monday brings with it one fixture. Chelsea will inch closer to the title and all but finish relegating Middlesbrough when these two face-off at Stamford Bridge. Hopefully Diego scores one or two before he heads off to China to get even older and live in luxury as he so deserves. Turning on Brazil, asking players from an opposing team to let his team (Rayo Vallecano vs Granada) score and stamping on people rewarded with millions.

Wednesday sees the end of this mini double. As Saints welcome in Arsenal for each of those teams second affair of the GW. Frankly who knows what we will see here. Southampton is just playing out the string and by the time The Gunners arrive at St. Mary’s stadium for all intents and purposes they could be also.

I have 3 Spurs and today is 1st time since gw30 when they failed to get points. I can live with that. hopefully they will still be up for a game next week even if Chelsea has title wrapped up. the reason is that this will be last game at whl and also they are still chasing some sort of record for.concecutive wins at home. they will want to end up with the bang. another reason is that they have nothing to play and will want to avoid last season collapse.

that’s my wishful thinking anyway smile

I’ll still to my plan of getting Pedro for Tadic after this week. But, much would depend on how Gabbiadini fares. If he doesn’t get enough gametime then I’d look for his replacement too.

    Morning all,
I have never been so happy to be on zero points for the week so far! Everyone except me has spurs players.
Im winning 1 ml but am 5th in my main 1 chasing 27pts for 2nd and 40 for 1st so looking for place money really.
Took a gamble based on inits “might as well chuck the baby out with the bathwater” if chasing comment!
Captained Ozil because it was clear everyone would be on Alexis. So fingers crossed

The joys of being on vacation enjoying sunny Portugal. Activating my wildcard to make a bit of cash during the week. Having players I do not really want in my team. And BAM totally missing last night’s deadline while enjoying a glass of Port wine. And I was secretly conniving thinking “I will make such a nice wildcard team tomorrow morning I will blow my rivals to smithereens”…oh well here goes nothing and a team with no Arsenal coverage at all bar Cech I put on the bench…luckily I have 2 couches to hide behind…damn it! Hey at least the 6 points I got from my 3 Spurs players gave me a green arrow yesterday?!

It’s not just the WBA/Stoke crew that’s already on the beach then! In your case lietterally. Where are you in Portugal if I may ask? Did you bring that blond with you?

      • KungFuKingCantona says:

Hi DMC sorry for super later reply – donno if you still around!? Lisbon is the place to be!! smile And the blond stayed home. I gotz myself another one! haha

      Rosco77 says:

Ouch that’s gotta sting! What does your team look like after your semi wildcard!? You’re taking it well all things considered!!

      • KungFuKingCantona says:

Roscoe I donno if you still here – my reply being only 12ish hours later..hehe. But my team has 3 Southampton defenders…says a lot! Will give you my entire team if I see you are still around…don’t wanna post it and shame myself unless necessary haha!

        • Rosco77 says:

          Still here boss!

        • inittowinit says:

Oh come on King Fu you may as well for the laughs?! Post some pics of your team too 😉

        • KungFuKingCantona says:

Rosco and Innit – well now that I look at it again it ain’t the worst team out there but still annoys the sh!t out of me that all this years planning went down the drain due to some R&R! Lesson learnt – NO MORE vacay during footie season especially if it cost me my ML!!! 😉

        • KungFuKingCantona says:

Wow and you might need a magnifying glass to see my team..not that I’m implying that you are old!!! 😉

        • TheDreamers says:

First point – hell thats so small…..

          Other point – Costa captain?

        • KungFuKingCantona says:

The Dreamers yeah I know – not my obvious choice – I would have loved a DGWer —> Sanchez would have been in the team at the expense of Costa! But look Costa might score 2 tomorrow for a very hungry Chelsea team…?
Sorry first time actually uploading an image – now I know to take the slightly bigger resolution hehe!

      • Rosco77 says:

Let’s be honest disregarding hindsight would you have changed much before rolling with that? Pretty decent liking team! I was expecting a car crash!

        • KungFuKingCantona says:

That’s the thing Rosco – I made that team in like 5 minutes. I usually like to think a few hours (day?!) before making my mind. So I feel I am entering a test without proper preparation but might end up winging it with a bit of luck! Ultimately I wanted more Arsenal cover – Sanchez especially ( I took him out after owning him basically all year just to make some cash elsewhere). And sorry being half french I tend to exaggerate sometimes hehe!

        • Rosco77 says:

Well sometimes amazing things can happen in 5 minutes
Take my team, I spent all week trying to decide between Gabbi and Costa… and at 6.55 I ditched Kane for Vardy!

        • KungFuKingCantona says:

You have a serious looking team there – that Sanchez cappo could propel you nicely (or make you sink like the titanic!) The beauty of the unknown!!
Let the FPL gods be with us tomorrow (mostly me I hope!)! haha
