Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 9 FPL News: Bournemouth hosting Spurs gets the game-week going for us, one would expect The Cherries to be done scoring for the season after dropping six on Hull last week That lunch time fixture is followed by six more at 3pm. The Gunners collect 3 points vs Boro, Burnley looks to pad Heaton’s save stats when they face Everton, Hull continues to pretend to be an EPL team when they face Stoke. In other action we see the EPL uncaring Foxes vs Palace, relegation bound Swansea bend over for Watford and West Ham continue climbing the table when they face Sunderland. In Saturday’s closing fixture, Liverpool will tangle with a more offensively inclined side in West Brom than the United side they played last GW.
Sunday sees two games to finish off the game-week. City look to practice their penalties vs Southampton and Chelsea tangle with United in what promises to be a bore fest, when Conte and Mourinho play a defensive chess game and protect their keepers like he is literally the King.

So I’ve pretty much given up on fpl
Last 3 weeks have been soul destroying,
Think the game needs something else to spark it into life,
Getting fed up with lack of quality players to choose from and the inconsistantcy of the so called big hitters.
I’m just gunna plod on through the rest of the season taking massive weekly hits just for fun.
    -8 gets me
    Ozil, Lukaku,Coutinho
    For
    Sanchez,KDB,Rashford
I’ll have 1.1m left so may spend that too, only because I can’t think of anything better to do with my team.

Evening all. How’s it going? Another dire gameweek here.

Collins is falling soon and, with Amat also dropped this weekend, he needs to be sold.

My question is: Holebas or Morgan in?

Morgan has better fixtures, long term, though he’d sit out whilst I play AOA this week – see below – but is it worth playing that Chip for Stuani? He was on the bench against us this weekend…

Holebas would mean either Stuani or Chadli sit out. If so: which one?

Any help would be much appreciated… things are getting desperate!

I’d probably pick Holebas and bench Chadli, saving your AOA, to be honest.

      • jamesimmo says:

Nick, cheers, sounds pretty sensible. AOA is a bit shit but I reckon there’ll probably be a better time. Chadli vs Stuani’s a tough one! Will see what Karanka says.

        • theswirly says:

Yeah, it was a tough choice for me when I read your first comment! The only thing that swayed it for me was the opposition. Completely agree with your opinion on the AOA chip – there haven’t ever been any weeks when I’ve wished I’ve used it.

Yo James,Holebas for me,on set pieces, has great assist potential and is cheaper.I’d bench Stuani.

      inittowinit says:

I’d probably buy Holebas, play him and save the chip in all honesty although I can see the sound logic of doing the other also. What was the reasoning given for Stuani?

      • jamesimmo says:

Cheers init, looks like the best bet, can build a bit of value too hopefully. Reasoning for playing Stu? I just see his home fixtures and think “if he starts then there’s a goal or two in it for him” as Bournemouth can be pretty shocking away from home.

        • inittowinit says:

Sorry James I meant the managers reason as in why he sat out the last game. Guessing it was just tactical given the fixture. Can’t say I follow ‘Boro news that much smile

        • jamesimmo says:

Ahhh, fairs, perhaps! Traore got a run-out instead this weekend and he caused us a lot of problems. Stuani struggles when playing out on the right wing so, unless Aitor starts playing two strikers, he may well remain on the bench… my Boro knowledge is a work in progress aha.

      Andy says:

I’d bring Morgan in and I’d probably play him even if the fixtures crap anyways and save that chip, I’d imagine (or at least hope) that Morgan would outscore Holebas over the next 6 or 7 games and you don’t really want to be switching defenders around to often.

      • jamesimmo says:

Andy, cheers, interesting perspective on it. Leicester just don’t seem to have that steel from the 2nd half of last season: even 3-0 up against Palace, at home, they let one in! Decent goal threat from corners though.

        • Andy says:

Yeah but I didn’t know that Holebas was on set pieces either though James, all of the above managed to change my mind to Holebas smile

    Gents,

Another shite GW! Feel that I have a good team but just need a couple of tweaks!

What should I be doing for GW10?

Anyone planning to double up on pool midfield for the next few GW’s?

    Thoughts on Kun?

    Thoughts on sterling?

    Thoughts on stones? (He’s gash)

Any thoughts on what to do here? Only 0.3 itb.

Keeper is a problem, payet maybe to Coutinho to fund a keeper ?

Thoughts on this lot. Team looks ok for this week so may save transfer. Ibra and Capoue are the problems thinking of Hazard and Austin in for those 2 but maybe next week
