New FPL Transfers Arsenal Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette
Hello and welcome to New FPL Transfers Arsenal Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette. Welcome back to a brand-new season of Fantasy Premier League! The Transfer Window has been in full swing since the 1st of July with plenty new faces coming into the league giving us fantasy managers more options to pull our hair out over. In the coming weeks, we will see multiple drafts, probably all from Mitro, containing different combinations of some of these new faces so to make it easier for him and everyone else; below I have written up an analysis of some of those faces. With so much money flooding into the English League in the recent years we are seeing some ridiculous transfers and transfer fees up and down the divisions (Ruben Neves to Wolves for £15 million, anybody?!!!) In the below article we focus on Arsenal’s latest additions. Two players whom Arsenal fans hope can help them back to their promised land and a 4th place finish
Sead Kolasinac
Defender
FPL Price: £6.0m
New season but same old Arsenal!! Wenger is still in the hot seat but only time will tell if Arsenal can turn things around. Old Arsene has started early by bringing in a new left-back but obviously he didn’t let any funds leave the budgeting department by nabbing Sead Kolasinac on the free. Kolasinac is a 24-year-old from Bosnia who has spent the last 5 years at FC Schalke. In that time, he made 123 appearances scoring 4 goals and getting 13 assists. These stats don’t light the world on fire but Kolasinac is versatile and can play centre back, left midfield and defensive midfield. The versatility that Kolasinac offers should be a Godsend to Arsenal, manager and fans alike, as he can slot in whenever the inevitable injury crisis starts. Arsenal’s first six games see matches against Stoke, Bournemouth and West Brom which could be three clean sheets for the new recruit if he does in fact walk straight into the side but with the form Nacho Monreal was in at the end of last season it will be hard to tell what Arsene’s plans are! With Kieran Gibbs gone there is less competition for the Bosnian at left back but it’s still a wait and see in my opinion.
Alexandre Lacazette
Forward
FPL Price: £10.5m
Hold the phone, stop the presses!! That’s right lads and lassies the world as we know it is coming to an end! Arsenal have not only loosened the purse strings but cut them wide open by spending a club record fee of £53 million on Frenchman, Alexandre Lacazette. Lacazette may not have the gorgeous looks of the Frenchman we all know and love to hate, Olivier Giroud, but one would have to assume Lacazette is the younger replacement for Olivier. Lacazette has been linked with the English game for a long time now usually with rumours of a move to Liverpool but as usual they missed out and the highly rated striker decided he wanted a spin on the London Eye. Lacazette arrives with a lot of expectations on his shoulders and it is well deserved as the 26-year-old has played 275 times for OL Lyon scoring 129 times and assisting a further 43 goals which compared to Giroud is a lot better. In Giroud’s time at Arsenal he managed 2 less assists than Lacazette which isn’t bad but Giroud was worse in front of goal only scoring 98 times in 227 appearances. These stats should signify the end of Giroud at the Emirates and with interest coming from within England from Everton and West Ham or his home country, with Marseille and Lyon looking to attain his services Lacazette could find himself leading the Arsenal line in their hopes of returning to their throne, 4th place!

Morning all. Thanks to Matt who has written up Arsenal’s deadly duo of Kolasinac and Lacazette. Both look interesting options, but will they make your FPL team?!
Hello Sir
How are you?
Been some time
The only Goonie ginding a spot in my team is Rambo ATM and I suppose it won’t change come GW 1
Hey Nishant, I’m well thank you, hope all good with you mate.
Yes I have Rambo on my watchlist, though it looks like he’ll be competing with Willian or Cesc for the 7mln midfield slot.
All well here. Thank you
Here’s my recent team
DDG Elliot
Alonso Trippier Dawson Dummett Rosenior
Willian Sane Rambo Zaha Mc Arthur
Lukaku Kane Gayle
Nice team Nishant,
Good coverage across the board, I like it.
Thanks a lot
I am overwhelmed
:green-flag:
Cheers Matt
Kolasinac looks a decent pick though won’t jump right away in the Lacaz train
Nice one Matt, i think Kolasinac could be rotated and Lacazette may find goals a bit more elusive in the Prem, although he should get lots of chances.
Rashford and Lukaku played alternative halves last night. Probably a good thing neither scored!
Lindelof played terribly again. Not nailed by any stretch.
Cheers AT. Have you mailed me yet about the Regulars League ?
I haven’t yet, Ell. I’ll drop you a message today.
I’m increasingly thinking Lindl will spend the season bedding down.
Wouldn’t trust him at CB over the current crop.
Blind or Darmian to start the season at LB will be worth keeping an eye on.
Morning guys, I said in the article Kolasinac might not walk straight into the team and after seeing some of the preseason I think Monreal will be the LB ahead of him. I don’t think I’ll be going with any Arsenal cover.
Just wondering which of these teams you think is better. Team A leaves nothing in the bank. Team B leave’s 1 Mil itb
Don’t know what to do with the 1 Mil.
Sorry not a Mil . 0.5 it.
I like the first team matt, not a million miles away from where i am at the minute. I think i would ditch Ryan for Elliot and use that 0.5 to get another 4.5 def just to cover you as you’ll prob play Courtois most weeks anyway!
Yeah If I went with team A then Ryan would go to Elliot. I’m still not sure if I want to go without Morata though. I’d say he is nailed on whereas Pedro might not be.
Wenger saying again Sanchez won’t be sold could throw everyone’s team right out of the window.
I’m not even considering him so I won’t have a problem.
