Sunday Review GW17 – FPL Fantasy Premier League

Southampton 2-3 Spurs Managerless Spurs made the trip to St Mary’s to take on a Southampton side that have lost a bit of form of late. With no AVB in sight, it was up to Tim Sherwood to try and turns things around for Spurs and attempt to get them back up the table. Things did not start well for them though as after 13 minutes Adam Lallana opened the scoring for the Saints with a lovely turn and clinical finish. Danny Fox was credited with the assist as he passed the ball to his skipper to open the scoring. Then from absolutely nothing, Spurs equalised as Roberto Soldado chased down a pa...[Read More]

Saturday Review Gameweek 17 – FPL Fantasy Premier League

Liverpool 3-1 Cardiff City With both sides having conflicting weeks, Liverpool had been buoyed by the contract extension of Luis Suarez whilst Cardiff had to endure the public outbursts of owner Vincent Tan, this game was set up nicely and we were not to be disappointed. The match was a lively, if one sided affair and the boys from Cardiff had effectively lost the game by halftime. It will come as no surprise that Suarez, Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling and the up and coming Jon Flanagan featured heavily in this game. Liverpool were rampant at times and could have been five up at halftime ha...[Read More]

Pottys Punters Weekly Review So last Saturday saw an early start in Pottys Bookie’s as Potty and two of my staff, Flingy and Bench, put the Xmas Tree up ahead of opening. It was a long drawn out affair as Flingy had a chart for ‘Baubbles to Branches’ ratio and Bench spent an hour looking up the Angel’s dress but we cracked it with 15 minutes to spare. As Saturday’s games got under-way an incredible score from Manchester came in and City’s 6-3 demolition of Arsenal had many folk discarding their bets from the off, this was followed by a boring 0-0 from Upton ...[Read More]

Fixtures Article Gameweek 17 FPL Fantasy Premier League

FAVOURABLE FIXTURES MANCHESTER CITY – Fulham (A), Liverpool (H), Crystal Palace (H), Swansea (A) City certainly put down a marker on Saturday then! As a statement of intent you do not get much more emphatic than scoring six against the league leaders. The potential loss of Sergio Aguero for anything up to two months, depending on which report you read, may on the face of it be a blow but judging by Saturday alone, they may well be ok – they scored three with him and still notched another three once he had departed. Liverpool looked in rude health at the weekend, dispatching Spurs for fiv...[Read More]

Sunday Review Gameweek 16 FPL Fantasy Premier League

Aston Villa 0-3 Man Utd Man Utd were dealt a huge blow midweek with the news that Robin van Persie would be side-lined for about a month with a thigh injury. Aston Villa were without the influential Fabien Delph who was serving a one game suspension and the Villains were hoping to end their abysmal home run against Utd, their last league win against Utd was 18 years ago. Sadly for Villa after just 18 minutes of play they found themselves two nil down thanks to Danny Welbeck.
