[/three_fourth]As the season progresses, it’s time to start keeping an eye on the red and yellow card count for our players and transfer targets, in order to make sure we can field 11 players each week. With cup matches also playing a part with regard to suspensions, holding that transfer until later in the week can sometimes pay dividends.
In brief, any player who gets a red card during a game will receive a suspension, normally between 1 and 3 games, depending on what has done, however players also receive suspensions for yellow cards. Any player who receives 5 yellow cards up to and including 31st Dec will receive a 1 match suspension. Any player who receives 10 yellow cards up to and including the second Sunday in April will receive a 2 match suspension. Any player who receives 15 yellow cards before the end of the season will receive an automatic 3 match suspension.

The FA website is a great resource for suspension information, current suspensions can be found along with lists of all players close to suspension (currently 4 yellow cards). However it is also possible to search by team and check the amount of cards for all players in each squad, so its always worth a look before making any transfers.

[/three_fourth]Branislav Ivaonvic picked up a red card in the match against Manchester United at the weekend, but the one match suspension was served on Tuesday night in the Capital One Cup so he will be free to take to the field at the weekend against QPR.
No other red cards were flashed at the weekend, however, two were shown in the midweek cup games, although only one of these will lead to a Premier League suspension. On Tuesday Federico Fernandez of Swansea picked up a red card against Liverpool, however this has subsequently been rescinded and as a result he will not miss any games. This was followed by a red card for Peter Crouch on Wednesday night and a suspension will follow. At the time of writing the length of this suspension is not yet known, nor is it known if Peter will appeal, so keep an eye on the news for more information.
Phil Bardsley of Stoke will miss this weekend’s game against West Ham, having picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in the cup game against Southampton, he will not be able to play until Stoke meet Spurs on 9th November.
The yellow card count is now starting to clock up for a good few players with the players below all on 4 yellow cards to date. One more yellow and a one match suspension will ensue:

Cesc Fabregas Chelsea
Jerome Williams Crystal Palace
Steven Naismith Everton
Lee Cattermole Sunderland
Craig Gardener West Brom
Winston Reid West Ham

So, in a nutshell, all we have to do is keep track of the red and yellow cards……….errrrm well no, that’s not strictly true. We also have to keep an eye on social media!
Rio Ferdinand has been handed a £25,000 fine and a three match ban, to commence with immediate effect, subject to any appeal, following a comment he made on twitter. He will now miss the three league games against Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle, and will not be free to play until 29th November against Leicester. Rio was also ordered to attend “an education programme”…………………..it would be too easy to follow this up with numerous jokes, but you know we don’t do that kind of thing, so let’s just hope he remembers to turn up!

    Morning dudes.
I have no idea who to cap this week. I can hear “AGÜEROOOOO!” and “AGÜERO DOES IT AGAIN!!” already. At the same time Alexis at home against Burnley and Hazard at home against QPR are very tempting aswell. I’ve decided not to cap Hazard though, because Chelsea have many potential goal scorers so he could easily be excluded from the goals. So it’s between Agüero who we know will get chances and Alexis who has a very favourable fixture. Hmmm..
So help me out here guys, tell me who you would cap and why. smile

The big question is this: keep Pelle or rebuy Costa?

Problems galore. Got silva in for sterling at the beginning of the week and lost my FT. Please tell me what I can do now. Ready to take a -4 hit but can’t figure out which midfielder can get me more than 4 points to make up for the hit. Hate taking hits. Other option is to play siggy who I left on the bench. Help !!!

I’ve finally decided to captain Alexis, so I made a wishlist for this weekend. Now all I have to do tomorrow is to have friends come over, have a couple beers and just enjoy some premium football while ticking off those wishes one by one. B)

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Jack Wilshere will miss the Gunners’ clash with Burnley due to a knee injury.

“There is a slight problem with Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs has a test,” he told reporters. “He [Wilshere] got a kick on his knee, it is very, very short-term.”

The Arsenal boss also denied that Theo Walcott could be named in his starting line-up as he closes in on a first-team return after 10 months out of action after rupturing anterior cruciate ligaments.

“Theo Walcott is not completely ready. He’s been out for too long to start,” Wenger added.

Good morning. I need to sit one of these players, assuming they are fit for the weekend. Which one would you suggest?
    Rooney
    Pelle
    Lukaku
    Mane
    Barkley
    Fabregas
    Tadic
    Sigurdsson
I was also thinking of making Lukaku my captain. Good idea? Thank you for your help.
