UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football 2021/22

MD6 DEADLINE: TUESDAY 7th DECEMBER 5:45pm UK

We have arrived at the final week of the group stages and if you thought the line-ups were difficult to predict last week then this one may be a mind bender. Almost as difficult as seeing the wood for the trees in terms of who has what to play for…

We have 11 who have definitely already qualified with 5 of those confirmed as group winners. There are then another 11 teams fighting for the final 5 spots. Then there are 10 who are out regardless, but 3 of those can still make the Europa League and 2 others who are already in it.

Simples then, yeah?!

To try and keep it as simple as possible for you here is the breakdown of each teams ‘status’:

Won their group
Ajax
Bayern
Liverpool
Man City
Man Utd

Qualified regardless
Chelsea
Inter
Juventus
PSG
Real Madrid
Sporting CP

Teams that can still qualify in MD6:
AC Milan
Atalanta
Atlético
Barcelona
Benfica
LOSC Lille
Porto
Salzburg
Sevilla
Villarreal
Wolfsburg

Done & Dusted in a Europa spot:
Dortmund
Sheriff
Zenit

Cannot qualify but can still ‘do a Europa spot’:
Club Brugge
Leipzig
Young Boys

OUT:
Besiktas
Malmo
Dynamo Kyiv
Shakhtar Donetsk

UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football Tracker

This tracker has placed each team in the place that oddsmakers are expecting them to finish in said group. While it won’t hold true in every group, this should at least give you a better idea of what players to target. Also, the teams on the left all play on the same exact days through the group stages. This of course means that the teams on the right do the same. For those of you who want to use your manual subs, this tracker should help you in picking out players from both days of a matchday (the equivalent of a gameweek) so you have cover for any players who don’t perform well.

    UEFA Champions League Set-Piece Takers

All hail Mito who is clearly bored at the moment and has taken the time to research the following for us all:

Please feel free to post any RMT’s on the issue or indeed as ever, especially as we’ve slightly interrupted the FPL weekend for this, just carrying on talking about that!

Thanks for reading UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football 2021/22.

    **UCL Home**

Our UCL home is back. Thanks to Init for putting it together, we have added a tracker and set piece info as we did last season. We will put a link in the ‘Hot Topics’ to this article so you can always have a quick way to jump back in here and chat UCL.

Shaw v Varane. Shaw’s not taking off, maybe early? Varane, like van Dijk, will tighten up the United defence and, like VVD in his first Liverpool year, pick up a fair number of bonus points. But Varane doesn’t appear the offensive threat? Conflicted.

After back-to-back reg league titles you better believe I’m back to attempt the turkey.
The chances are slim but I’ll give it a go! To be honest anything above Init will do just fine who is always up there challenging.

The tracker is a great tool and I’ll look to get on this properly after the weekend games.
