Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. As the great Bruce Buffer would say “IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTSSS TTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMEE!” Here we go, the planning stage is over and the moment has come to test all your pre-season theories. This season we don’t even have to wait until the weekend either, as the season kicks off on a Friday night. The invincible Arsene Wenger and his boys take on the now “back where they belong” Leicester.

Saturday hits us with a lunch time feast as Watford welcome in Liverpool and their high octane attack. Three o’clock has five fixtures on the slate. The Champs grab their first 3 points when they face Burnley, Palace host newcomer Huddersfield, The Toffees tangle with Stoke, Saints pummel Swansea and The Baggies back from vacation finally after leaving in February mix it up with The Cherries. The Saturday fixtures finish up when recently promoted Brighton tries their hand at figuring out why City paid that much for that defence.

Sunday hits us with the last two fixtures. Newcastle reacquaints themselves with the Premier League when they face Harry Kane and company, geez, what a welcome back. The late game pairs up Man United side versus a Hammers team whose big acquisitions were in part, three old Manchester leftovers, Chicha, Zaba and Hart.

    Greetings FF247!

Managed 95 points, best start for the season I’ve had.
My concern is Sterling and his playing time. I believe that if he plays he will produce but I don’t know if I want to play the waiting game when there are a lot of options for Pep to rotate. Should I stick or transfer in D.Silva/Willian/… or cheap mid Mooy/Groß/Phillips and get next week Jesus for Benteke to have City coverage?

Watched the Huddersfield game on Sat and Mooy is a good cheapy was very involved in the game takes free kicks etc and a good number of crosses so potential for assists that would let you go for the Jesus option , because of Pep rotation I think the city mids are not certain starters

      Brilliant start.

Not sure why Sterling is in your team, he’ll always rotate around with the rest of the mids.

I’d be inclined to go for a nailed starter and try to upgrade Benteke (though that could wait until next week when you have 2 transfers).

      • Sensi Steve says:

Yeah, I’m wondering myself as well why I did put him there. I’m going with the second option and bring in cheap mid, probably Mooy, and swap Benteke with Jesus next week.

Alonso in my team is making me feel sad.

Straight out for Valencia? Any thoughts?

Would I be stupid not to bring Luk in have Kane / Kun / Mkhit with no other Spurs or City cover ??????

Silvers, very difficult one.. I’d like to have Lukaku after his display last night, but would like to stay with both Kun and Kane. Aguero looked sharp and most importantly hungry for the ball. Also, Kane was himself a bit unlucky. If he fails in the consecutive game, then may be you can think of bringing the Belgian in..

      webstar87 says:

      Not stupid.

Luky looked strong yesterday and will probably bag again vs Swans. You went with Kane+Kun for a reason so stick with it yet, I’ve got a feeling Spurs will beat Chelski and Kane will most likely be amongst the goald as usual.
