Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1. As the great Bruce Buffer would say “IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTSSS TTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMEE!” Here we go, the planning stage is over and the moment has come to test all your pre-season theories. This season we don’t even have to wait until the weekend either, as the season kicks off on a Friday night. The invincible Arsene Wenger and his boys take on the now “back where they belong” Leicester.

Saturday hits us with a lunch time feast as Watford welcome in Liverpool and their high octane attack. Three o’clock has five fixtures on the slate. The Champs grab their first 3 points when they face Burnley, Palace host newcomer Huddersfield, The Toffees tangle with Stoke, Saints pummel Swansea and The Baggies back from vacation finally after leaving in February mix it up with The Cherries. The Saturday fixtures finish up when recently promoted Brighton tries their hand at figuring out why City paid that much for that defence.

Sunday hits us with the last two fixtures. Newcastle reacquaints themselves with the Premier League when they face Harry Kane and company, geez, what a welcome back. The late game pairs up Man United side versus a Hammers team whose big acquisitions were in part, three old Manchester leftovers, Chicha, Zaba and Hart.

    Managerial mind games??

Chelsea, leave Morata out, look shocking (even before the sending off), Batshu totally shown up.
Bring Morata when its too late to show the difference if the board ponies up and buys in the players Conte demands.

WHU, no mids on the bench, takes DM captain off & replaces him with a kid who was playing in defence for the U18s a few weeks ago.At Old Trafford! The board meantime fighting shy of paying the asking price for Bilics choice pick DM from Porto

Mmmmm, first two managers to be sacked, or risking it all for the team?

Any Sterling or Iwobi owners out there, their prices are likely to fall tonight.

2 interesting questions: play Mee or Davies in GW2. Cappo Firminio or Lukaku… ?

    AT says:

Hmm…Pogba to Mkhi seems so sideways, but the only reason I didn’t pick him over Pogba was his rotation risk. If he keeps playing as he is, surely he can’t be dropped? More attacking than Pogba and set to go up tonight.

    Thoughts?

      BennyB says:

Pogba didn’t do great fantasy wise last season, and Mikhi seems to be carrying a good pre-season over.

However, I think Pogba will push up more this season now they have Matic.

Same value as well, so it’s a tough call. I’d save the FT personally, but go with your gut.

      • AT says:

Yeah, its a tough one. Cheers Benny. Raising TV is important early on too though, and I don’t think it’s knee-jerk.

        • BennyB says:

It’s not knee jerk at all.

I have Mikhi personally, but can see the whole Utd midfield doing some damage this season.

It’s just hedging your bets on who will do the most…

        • DMC says:

Miki is no midfielder. He’s a winger, classed as a mid. I agree with the Pogba assessement you’ve made but for the same price I’d have (and do have) Miki all day.

Sorry but I needed to share this Nice little piece of PL history on this site. As a Dutch person I feel a little Bit proud to Read that the bbc declared this Bergkamp goal as the nicest goal in the history of the PL. We Dutchies are going through a rough Time lately so we like to remember our ancient heros ?
