Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 9 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 9. And so we go again, for about 4 weeks anyway, before the next absolutely essential international break interrupts us all once more. You can probably guess that we rather side with Jurgen Klopp and his view that ‘the Nations Cup is the most senseless competition in the world of football’. Let’s just hope that none, or at least not many, of your precious FPL assets came to any harm in their pursuit of the ‘glory’ of a few Nations Cup points this past week or so. Back we are though and we start with a cracker as Jose goes back to The Bridge on Saturday lunchtime, an occasion which is always notable, but probably more so when he’s so under the cosh, not to men...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8. It’s an early start this GW with a Friday kick-off and as ever with these things we hope you don’t join us for Live Match Chat with that sinking feeling of ‘why on earth have they posted Live Match Chat on a Friday night…’. And if you do (looking at you Raz!), don’t say we didn’t try to remind you as it was posted on each and every article this week at some point. Whether you made it in tact or not let’s crack on with the games. Brighton have the early pleasure of a very much in-form West Ham coming to town on Friday evening. Saturday then sees us with five 3pm games beginning with a resurgent Burnley hoping to build on momentum at home to a st...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7 Gameweek 7 gets going with a lunch time affair. The slowly improving Hammers take on the slowly deteriorating Man United. That fixture is followed by six 3pm matches. Arsenal take on Watford, Everton tangle with Fulham, Huddersfield hands over 3 points to Spurs, City put 5 past Brighton, Toon welcome in Leicester and Wolves look to impress again vs Saints. All them fixtures are just the appetisers though, for the match of the day. The late game sees Chelsea welcome in top of the league Liverpool in what we all hope will be a back and fourth battle. Should be interesting all that attacking talent going up against each other. Salah vs Hazard, also Mane vs Hazard and if that wasn’t enough, Firmino vs Hazard. All the fun didn’t end on Sat...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 6 With five of the big boys, and also Arsenal, having been on European duty this week we may be about the hear the dreaded ‘R’ word a number of times over the next few days as the team-sheets roll in. Certain key personnel such as Hazard were given the week off, other ones played (relatively poorly) and then proceeded to wander around with a pack of Lemsip in their hand afterwards to further fuel speculation as to their possible involvement. All will be revealed in due course though… Watford pitch up at Fulham to kick us off on Saturday lunch-time to test their strong arm tactics against the strongest of arms in the shape of Mitrovic. Expect fireworks. New FPL favourite Fraser then gets a taste of real Northern ‘hospitality&...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5 We doubt there will be many FPL fans left now then, such was the excitement and intrigue of the new ‘Nations League’, or whatever it is called. 16 groups of teams, some in groups of 4, some in 3, some can get promoted, some can get relegated, some can get into the Euros but only if they haven’t already and if they have then someone else can instead, who did worse. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah… Just in case anyone is indeed still interested then… FPL IS BACK! Thank goodness. Saturday will see the majority of our FPL interest hit the field. ‘Super Sunday’ looks like it’s having a breather and is followed closely by its cousin ‘Mundane Monday’… Spurs and Liverpool get us underway at l...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3 A lunch time kick-off gets us going this week when Wolves or as City likes to call promoted teams, dinner, face off. That is followed by four 3pm games. Arsenal and West Ham tangle in a battle to save face, that is accompanied by the two worst teams in the Premier League matching up when Huddersfield welcomes Cardiff, about the only team the Terriers will feel like they can take any points off. In the other two similar time fixtures, the Vardy-less Foxes take on Southampton and The Cherries play host to Richarlison’s Toffees. Our Saturday finishes with Liverpool putting a half a dozen past Brighton in the late game. Sunday brings us another three games. Watford look for their third win this new season when Palace drop in, the other two fixt...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2 None of that Friday night nonsense this week. Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday with Cardiff hosting Newcastle, a game that has relegation 6 pointer written all over it. We then have four games at the traditional kick off time of 3pm. Everton entertain Southampton. It’s a battle of the animals at The King Power stadium as the Foxes host Wolves. It’s an all London affair with Spurs playing host to Fulham, while Bournemouth travel to West Ham. Saturday is brought to a conclusion with the game of the weekend when Chelsea host Arsenal at 5:30pm. Sunday brings us another three games. Burnley host Watford in a game that is unlikely to cure any hangovers. Huddersfield will be hoping to improve on their opening day result but that’s unlike...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 1 And we are off!! Another season of bitter FPL disappointment for most gets rolling when Leicester travels to Old Trafford to take on Jose’s happy warriors. That is followed by The Cherries vs newcomers Cardiff. Fulham who is also recently promoted, tangle with Palace, Huddersfield plays host to Sarri-ball, Watford dukes it out with Brighton and in the late game we get a first look at the much talked about Wolves side when they face off vs Everton. Sunday brings us the last three fixtures. Liverpool begin what promises to be an exciting season that is likely to end the...[Read More]
World Cup 3rd Group Phase Live Match Chat Welcome to World Cup 3rd Group Phase Live Match Chat. Forewarned is forearmed and all that…. We’ve posted this particular LMC a bit earlier than normal but that’s simply because of the points we are about to come onto really and their implications for your teams. This is where it starts to get a bit tricky as some teams have already qualified and others are still fighting tooth and nail to do so. Rest and rotation will occur naturally at this point for those who have but perhaps that may also depend on whether they are secure in 1st spot or wish to avoid a more tricky route by finishing there as opposed to 2nd. Either way it’s probably not the best round to be deploying that Bench Boost chip as getting 11 on the pitch may be...[Read More]
World Cup 2nd Group Phase Live Match Chat Welcome to World Cup 2nd Group Phase Live Match Chat. We now enter into the second round of games and some of us will have got off to a flying start. Others not so much, but however you are doing we still encourage you to partake in the chat. We are sure there will be plenty to discuss that doesn’t always involve whether you should get assist points for a shot that was blocked or your striker really did touch the ball a la Kane before it went in. Predictor games, brackets, bets on the golden boot are all welcomed here. And yeah, even old school footy chat for those that who are just watching the games for fun and just want to talk about the Joga Bonito. So that you have them to hand, we will post a screenshot of the substitution rules, transf...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 38 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Gameweek 38. That’s your lot folks! Well, it will be in about 3 hours anyway… GW38 always seems so brutal. We are used to game-weeks spanning 3-4 days, sometimes even 6 or 7. And then when it really comes down to the final reckoning we are all lined up in front of the FPL firing squad and shot at for 90 short minutes as if we’d just been caught in Malaysia with a gram or two in our back pockets. And it’s a bit of an odd one to call as nearly all matters are sorted, barring a couple of highly unlikely goal difference swings. And we are talking huge ones here – a Liverpool draw and a Chelsea 16-0 win. And a Saints loss, a Swansea win and a 10 goal swing. The Saints do however fac...[Read More]
