FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW28 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW28 Well, that went better than we could have hoped! The community was split in recent weeks; those that played their WC in GW26/GW27 and those who have held theirs. We played ours in 26 and the less said about that the better, but our best-laid plans came to fruition in spectacular fashion and it’s thanks in no small part to our 5-man double game week contingent. At the culmination of the weekend’s fixtures, things looked decidedly ‘meh’, our single game week players were a mixed bag, 3pts a piece for Rashford and Saka, topped up nicely by 6pts from Haaland and Zinchenko along with a tidy 13pts from Kane. Whilst our double-game week players were something of a letdo...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 27 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 27 In a week where wildcards were wildly used – and we took the bait and also went with the revamp – to have 53 points overall seems like a victory of sorts. That’s 10 whole points above the weekly average and moves us in an upwardly mobile direction to 431,164. We got lucky with the goalkeeper as Kepa (6) came on for the no-show Sanchez so we’re happy with that and the Sanchez issue will be dealt with later. Tyrone Mings carried a defence (ours) for once and landed 8 points in Villa’s home win over Palace. Zinchenko and Mee (not I) brought a solitary point each to the table. Thanks lads. Kaoru Mitoma (13) carried a midfield of Arsenal and Manche...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW26 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW26 Fresh as a daisy! It’s quite a feat for a player to have a double game week, play both fixtures and end up on zero. But that’s exactly what James Tarkowski managed, making Darwin’s 2-pointer across his brace of fixtures look positively awesome! BDG25 was something of a letdown for us, despite captaining Saka for his 30-pointer is was teammate Martinelli (who we sold for Saka a few weeks back) who was ‘the one’ with a whopping 26pts across The gunners double. Hey ho. Elsewhere we had the aforementioned Darwin turning up just once, Nketiah doing likewise (pretty much) although he did get an assist, a tidy 11 for Salah and Halaand with a goal and assist for 10...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 25 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 25 Slowly slowly catchy monkey …. Again above average for us, but again – like a spoiled child – not by much. 55 points last gameweek and a slight rise to 415,607 in the overall rankings. But we are ready to absolutely rock the forthcoming double gameweek season. But, point of order, first we look at who did us proud this past week. Captain Erling Haaland didn’t do us many favours in the match at Forest – 4 points from a man fast becoming transferable*. (*These views are the view of the author and are not shared by any one else probably) His strike partners Eddie Nketiah (2) and Harry Kane (5) didn’t fare much better so we obviously look el...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW24 Shaw looks bad to me Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW24. With a score of 68pts and 2pts above the average, you would hope for a green arrow. Sadly it was not meant to be. A red arrow and our meteoric rise in GW22 is long forgotten as we slip from 326,036 down to 434,354 thanks in part to our poor team selection. We were not alone in benching Luke Shaw and his 12pts instead favouring our double-game week defenders Ake and White. Sadly for us, both turned into pretty much single-game week players and their grand total of 6pts makes the benching of Shaw feel a whole lot worse. Ouch. We fared better elsewhere with new man Mahrez picking up 14pts although it should be noted the departed Almiron did manage 10pts, but 4pts is 4...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 23 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 23 Thank the lord above (or whoever you pray to) for three things – Kepa, Kane and Manchester United. Kepa Arrizabalaga (10), Harry Kane (8) and the Reds Devils triumvirate of Luke Shaw (6), Bruno Fernandes (12) and Marcus Rashford (60) – he who took our Triple Captain honours this week – gave us a grand overall total of 104 for the gameweek. Considering the rest were 2s and 1s, we’ll have that. Kieran Trippier scored one of those ‘2’s so we assume there is a glitch somewhere in the system and we’ve contacted FPL about it. A continued rise, this time a biggie of nearly 400k to more than halve our rank to a more respectable 326,036th S...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW22 Template-ish We held our transfer last week in anticipation of the forthcoming DGWs, but we were also conscious that our team looked in good shape, albeit template-ish. As it was we ended up scoring 78, which was 13 above the average, but it felt like an average week all around. Apart from Haaland, but that all depended on whether you stuck the armband on him or not. We did. Despite one vote against doing so… Naming no names, of course, but let’s just say that fortunately the reasoning presented was in a very broad Scottish accent, so we just nodded along and pretended we didn’t really understand him, as per. As for the rest, it was all also said template-ish as we got Tripper’s 8, Rashford’s 7 and Kane’s 6....[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 21 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 21 And so the first huge(ish) double came to pass with City doing the business on Thursday to follow up a disappointing loss in the Manchester derby. Whether you landed on the correct (or an acceptable) combination of their assets is another matter. Us? We had Ake (2) and Haaland (16) and didn’t even exercise our triple powers. Elsewhere amongst the doubles, we had Luke Shaw (2) pfft …, Harry Kane (7) meh …, Marcus Rashford (12) hmmmm …. Oh and Kepa got 10. Wait! He wasn’t on a double? What a man! Sir Kieran of Trippier with his standard three bonus points and his standarder clean sheet, meant for the usual 9 points (obviously). 69 points and ten...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW20 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW20 Things could be worse! Our GW19 Result… We closed out the festive fixtures with a score of 51pts, and whilst this was 2pts above the average (49pts) we still ended the festivities on a red arrow from 630,892 down to 731,084. Green arrows in game weeks 17 and 18 saw us reach the heady heights of 630k but as far as our rank is concerned we ended up with a lower rank than the one we sat on prior to GW17. At this stage of the season, we’ll certainly not be losing any sleep over our current ranking, especially with a full complement of chips, a glut of double-game weeks on the horizon and our generally positive demeanour! Our GW18 transfer of James to Shaw paid off handsomely wit...[Read More]
FF247 FPL Team Gameweeks 17, 18 & 19 ARTICLE LAST UPDATED – 14:20 on 2nd January – GAMEWEEK 19 TEAM IS LIVE Our Gameweek 18 Result Hardly a vintage week but our 58 points were enough to see us achieve our 3rd green arrow in a row. OUR GAMEWEEK 19 TRANSFER(S) It was a close call in the voting this week with Darwin to Mitro being pipped (strangely?) by James to Shaw. TO CONFIRM: WE HAVE SOLD JAMES AND BOUGHT SHAW GAMEWEEK 19 TEAM IN FULL Captain – ERLING BRAUT HAALAND Needs no explanation …. As last time out, Salah is vice if something goes awry. Should you wish to follow the FF247 Site Team’s progress you can do so here. FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW16 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups GW16 Crash bang wallop! Well, that was a fun way to start the game week! With many engaged managers falling foul of the Man City leaked team sheet (that Haaland and Foden were benched) and the subsequent crash of the FPL website, we sat back safe in the knowledge that we made our moves the day earlier. As it is, the moves we made would have no doubt been the exact moves we would have made had we waited on the aforementioned leak, so for us, it was a case of no harm no foul. Our previous days’ moves of Salah and Foden to Almiron (8pts) and KDB (7pts) looked inspired come Saturday evening, our armband remained on Haaland who thankfully came off the bench to (just) tuck away his last-minu...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 15 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 15 For ‘Haaland’, read ‘Salah’ … With the not unexpected non-appearance of Erling Haaland, we covered our asses bases with a vice captain pick of Mohamed Salah who scored and appeared to give us 14 points as vice captain. Andreas Pereira (3) came off the bench for the Norwegian. Elsewhere, Kieran Trippier (OBVIOUSLY) scored a double-digit figure of 11, Gabriel Jesus – whilst not scoring – is involved. His two assists against Forest landed us 9 points. Also on 9 points is Diogo Dalot who has proved to be a shrewd pick. Gabriel Martinelli (8) and Joao Cancelo (6) were the other helpers with the rest rather disappointing. A total of 66 f...[Read More]
