Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW32 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW32. It feels like GW31 was a long long time ago, so forgive me for being brief! The standout result was of course Liverpool’s 5-0 demolition of Watford, Mo Salah goes from strength to strength, if only Liverpool had played in the 3 o’clock kick-off so a few more would have got the first scorer correct! The only other really notable result was the Palace 0-2 win over Huddersfield which was a right kick in the teeth for anyone predicting success for the Terriers in either FPL or B&P’s (which is obviously way more important!). Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW31 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW31. It’s always nice when a player pops up with the first goal of the game-week that people simply did not see coming. Anyone have Marcus Rashford? No me either. Rashford scored the first goal in Man Utd 2-1 win; he then grabbed the second, as if to drive home the point. Other notable results were Swansea grabbing a 0-0 despite playing with 10 men for almost the full match, Chelsea chucking away a clean sheet at the death (2-1) and Arsenal finding their cojones not once, not twice but three times, not to mention Troy Deeney losing his. Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW30 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW30. So what did we learn this past game-week? Well Arsenal are still rubbish, perhaps that’s unfair on Brighton given their result the previous game-week, but come on, it’s 3 defeats on the bounce for the gunners now, what are the chances of it being 4 come next week? A fixture like Swansea v West Ham would have been a shoe-in for a low-score draw earlier in the season, but in recent weeks they’ve become somewhat unpredictable; a 4-1 defeat in GW28, a 4-1 win in GW29, will Huddersfield be able to keep the result respectable this week? Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW26 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW26. Perhaps Arsenal were too preoccupied with their pursuit of Aubameyang in GW25, their 3-1 defeat to Swansea was a bad start for B&P predictors. Luckily Palace and West Ham stepped up to the plate with a much predicted 1-1- hurray! On to night 2, played out to backdrop of deadline day. Bournemouth shocked Chelsea and B&P predictors with a 0-3 win, Man City duly delivered on the result widely predicted in their 3-0 win and Stoke v Watford, Newcastle v Burnley and Southampton v Brighton all provided stable mediocrity many seen coming a mile off. Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW25 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW25. GW24 started as many of you had predicted; a comfortable Chelsea win and a goal by Eden Hazard after just 3 minutes. It ended less predictably; a Liverpool defeat at the Liberty Stadium. Hats off to our very own Nostradamus Cookie for getting that one right! Arsenal showed us a glimpse of life without Alexis with a 4-1 win, high-flyer DenPerryDidIt coming so close to getting it spot-on with his 3-1 prediction. LAST WEEKS WINNERS! Man City and Liverpool were perhaps the predictable stand-out scores this week with 4 goals in their respective fixtures. Joining them in the ‘4 goal gang’ this week, were Huddersfield who recorded a surprise 1-4 victory away to Watford, anyone have that? No me neither. LAST WEEKS WINNER! And finally we have a correct first goal scorer prediction! Where many have failed before, Coyotes correctly predicted Christian Benteke would be the first scorer in the GW. Daryl Janmaat scored for Watford and the game week’s first goal, those 5 bonus points remain elusive.
