Euro 2020/21 Fantasy Football
Welcome to the FF247 hub for the Euro’s. As per our Champions League article this shall be the main place for the duration of the comp and will act more as a destination to gather and discuss it all, rather than being anything of particular fantasy use.

The Rules
This game is exactly as per the CL one with in-game matchday-by-matchday substitutions and Capo changes available between each day.
We expect most of our league members will be au-fait with these rules but if you are unsure then simply ask in the comments below and somebody will always be on hand to explain further.

Hints, tips, squads, line-ups etc…
For once UEFA have actually made a pretty good job of this and so we won’t be bothering to post any of the above as articles as it is pretty much all there for you. They have the entire raft of squads posted on both their website and on their official App along with a run-down on every single team.
The FF247 League
We are not running a ‘public’ league for this one, we are keeping it in-house for the summer fun and as such we have our usual ‘Regulars League’. We did post the league code in the comments section previously but this has now disappeared. The good news is that the majority of our usual CL crew saw it and have already joined,

All we ask if you enter the league is that you please keep the code to yourself and don’t divulge it to family or friends who do not frequent the site. This is for the FF247 Community who will be commenting and interacting on here and we would like to keep it that way. Ivan (The Terrible) will be keeping a watch and if you do then expect to be dealt with harshly!

Yes I think that’s the most challenging area. Erikson and Wijnaldom were the the ones I wanted, the rest were more budget dictated.

Try and find the extra 0.5 for Kroos (on corners, free-kicks and potentially even penalties), he looks like good value to me.

So much uncertainty around keepers. Spain/netherlands would normally have clear choices. I’ve got hradecky for now and even he doesn’t seem nailed and had Simon as second keeper to bring on but not sure.

I’ll be updating the predicted lineups tomorrow for the 7 teams that played today! Some won’t change like England as their friendly didn’t give any inkling as to who might start!

Otieno, think for most of them is just a warm up and far from the actual starting team plans. We gonna have to make our minds up close to the deadline.
I’m guessing most will be using wildcard in game week 2
So far, popular opinion is to use the WC in MD 3 after limitless in MD 2.
Although that gives you the opportunity to have 4 different teams across the group stages, still don’t understand the logic.

Init, because I haven’t analysed it yet.
In my memories, having the WC after the last 16 round is cushty when 8 teams get removed.
I’m thinking limitless game week 3 would be better as most teams will be qualified by then

My early predictions are that the likes of Scotland, Wales, Poland and Denmark will be still fighting at that stage to clinch a place in the last 16.
I predict Denmark makes it through the group round with 9 wholesome points
England, Portugal, France and Germany also could be fighting in game week 3
Dane, that can only happen if they play all their games at the Johan Cruijff Arena where being stoned is legal
I’m preferring WC in GW2 and UL in GW3 because the team I would like for GW3 is out of budget. And also I’m expecting there may be rotation with the big teams who may already be safe
Ivan, I think the reasoning behind using the UL Chip in MD2 is that the top teams in each Group will still be wanting to accumulate points & therefore their best players will be on the pitch.
The WC Chip to be used in MD3 would be used to set up your team for the Round of 16, would be the thought of some managers once the teams going on are possible finalized.
I think that train of thought would be behind the push for points due to the shortness of tournament. That’s is my opinion, for what’s worth.
You get a WC for round of 16 anyway
Mosc, as Otieno said, you get unlimited transfers (WC) for the round of 16. If you keep the wildcard for after this will be great as 8 teams will be out at that point.
What makes it most attractive to use UL chip for MD 2 is that most of the popular players somehow have tough games in this round and can be replaced temporary with others who have easier games.
Denayer – we think he’s going to start? Feels dodgy subbing on a not-guaranteed player late in the matchday.

It’s going to be difficult choosing player’s who start especially in defence
Keep a Portuguese defender in reserve. They play first on the last day so you will see their lineup. That way you can sub denayer in and if he doesn’t play or scores badly, you can take him back out again
