Fantasy Football 247 League Updates

Welcome one and all to the August round up of the FF247 leagues. I hope eveyone had a good summer, enjoyed the World Cup and has come back fighting fit for the turmoil which is the Premier League for 9 months. So as quick as we compiled our teams for GW1 of the 2014/15 season then the first month is over already would you believe it so lets find out which fantasy teams got off to a flyer :- [clear]

FF247 Overall League
1st—216pts–Blame it on Debuchy—Tom Farmer.
2nd—212pts–SupADISKlOneMoREtiME—Simon Maytham.
3rd—205pts–Societa Esportive—Boblewo-Garutti.
4th—204pts–Mr Bean–Adam Hodgson.
5th—203pts–Knights–M Junaid Ameer.

This will be the league to win as you have to maintain consistency over the whole season. Congratulations to Tom Farmer who leads the way with a total of 216pts followed by Simon Maytham 4 pts behind on 212, the next 3 places were filled by Boblewo-Garutti, Adam Hodgson and M Junaid Ameer, only being seperated by 2pts.

FF247 Manager Of The Month
1st—204pts–Mr Bean–Adam Hodgson.
2nd—203pts–Magnet Under There FC–Jack Ellis.
3rd —203pts–Knights–M Junaid Ameer.
4th—194pts–Syrians–Ghayth Jouma.
5th—193pts–FC Starbar–Starbar.

The monthly prize was a close run race with Adam Hodgsons team ‘Mr Bean’ winning by just one point, pushing the teams of Jack Ellis + M Junaid Ameer into joint 2nd with their respective teams. 4th + 5th places went to Ghayth Jouma + Starbar with 194 + 193 pts respectively

FF247 Doubles League
1st—176pts–Aditupem–Init + Elleffcee.
2nd—175pts–Belly + Clyne–Chins + Calvin.
3rd—172pts–Indecisive Warriors–Kop + Floydeth.
4th—166pts–Potty Morbid FC–Potty + Morbid.
5th—165pts–Potty As A Jock–Potty + Gallant Pioneer.

The doubles League has just 11 teams but will be fought tooth and nail until next May, the team that wins this prize will be the outfit that has fewer tiffs. After 3 GWs, it has last seasons champions Aditupem surprisingly top of the pile, but only by 1pt from Chins + Calvin who in turn are only 3 pts ahead of Kop + Floydeth. You may notice that in 4th + 5th place are two teams with Potty in both, he appears to be going along steadily with both partners, we wonder if they know they are being two-timed?!

Well thats it for August, may you all have a good September with your fantasy teams, except the doubles of course, and I’ll see you here at the end of next month.

Morning all! Great articles coming out over the long international break. Need to get back on track with the league kicking off again this weekend…

Has Dummett lost his place in the Newcastle team to Haidara (or anyone else!)? If so, I’ll need to replace him. Probably need to replace Debuchy as Arsenal haven’t looked too bulletproof so far!
Was looking through the defenders and there seems to be a wealth of mid-priced alternatives with a great run of fixtures coming up: new, tot, liv, swa (after che) (utd?!), sto, sun…. possibilities….

    Hey cookie,
Yea I read the ‘grab, avoid bore off’ article and noticed the Liverpool defence wasn’t very agreed upon despite their kind upcoming fixtures. Everyone probably still remembers Liverpool’s frailties at the back from last season. However if B.R. said he intends to address that, this would be the perfect time to prove that!

    Begovic – Krul

    Moreno – Jones – Clyne – Taylor – Wisdom

Who would you say is the best 5m midfielder outhere, looking for a decent 5th mid..?
    thinking of making these moves..

    Ivan / King / Naismith
    For
    Janmat / 5m mid (Amalfitano)? / Welbeck

    Current team. WC Active.

    Bego
    Van A / Ivan / Clyne
Di Maria / siggy / Fab / Sterling
    Aguero / Naismith / Costa

Subs. Gk. Myhill / Taylor (swan) / King / Moore /

Note.. Bego is in for the season, not wanting to rotate.

Alright lads… How are we all on this fine Monday morning ? Well, I hope.

I am on a WC (can’t say fo sho whether that is a good thing) and this leads to a massive list of endless questions… Can anyone help ? Hopefully can lead to bit of discussion too.

    1. Costa’s hammy.. Is this injury for real ? Or is it just a way of him not going on inty duty ? I tool him out in GW3 only pay the penalty

    2. George Boyd.. Will he play at Burnley ? at 4.4 he’s tempting me as I try to squeeze evey 0.1 from my team

    3. Ivan.. A must ? In fact, I know the answer to that.

    4. Vertonghen. If I simply just can’t afford Ivan, is he a sutable replacement ? Again, I know the answer.. But I have to think about budget too. Any others in this bracket (6.0m) that are worth it ?

    5. Quinn / Hull. Will he play at all after they signed about 16 mids on deadline day ?

    6. Aguero.. Yeah ? You feeling me ?

    7. Krul as my only playing keeper (Elliot as sub).. Too dangerous ?

    8. is Fabregas essential..? I just can’t fit all these big players in and I do want 3 big strikers.

If you can answer any of the above then please feel free.. I’ll post my WC team in a bit but don’t want to bombard you all…

      1. I’m keeping him in as it doesn’t sound too serious.
      2. He is tempting at 4.4. I think I’m going to leave it a few weeks to see if he can cement a place.
      3. Tough fixtures.
      4. Vertonghen would be a good choice although I’ve gone with Moreno.
      5. I can’t see it now I’m afraid.
      6. I’ve got that dilemma! I’m probably going to get him in!
      7. It’s not dangerous as you’ve always got a playing keeper, however you’re putting a lot of trust in the Toon!
      8. I think so! He’s an assist king!

      What’s your team?

      1. Probably wont know for sure until Friday, unless it flares up in the mean time.
      2. Maybe.
      3. No.
      4. No. At that price, i’d be looking at Baines/Coleman.
      5. High rotation risk. That’s all that can be said there, i think.
      6. 😉
      7. Yeah, Krul/Mannone would be preferable.
      8. 100%.

Nice one lads… Well here’s my team.

As you can see no place for Fabs (yet) and i’m still actually 0.1 short so it’s not a team at all ! lol but this is what i’m trying to work with…

I could drop Balo for Welbeck in order to beef up Boyd (would give me 7.4) but I don’t know about that.. I can’t see a way to get fabs in unless I get rid of Balo and Ivan….

      tricky
