Fantasy Football 247 League Updates September

Fantasy Football 247 leaguesHello everyone and welcome to the September round up of the FF247 leagues. So how did everyone do this month? Injuries were more common than a scouser in a car park and managers were dreading to be the first one to get the bullet, so lets see who managed to steer their teams through the mine field that is fantasy football and top our compliment of leagues. Any successful managers will be added to our Hall of Fame which is coming soon.

FF247 League
Fantasy Football 247 leaguesTop spot in this league has stayed with Tom Farmer, who was also top in August with his team ‘Blame It On Debuchy’. Tom had amassed 394 points up to the end of September and was sitting pretty in 6th overall in the world, keep up the good work Tom. (The pic above includes this weeks scores that include week 1 from October). 2nd spot goes to Gerrie Pistorius, with his team ‘Pick_And_Hope’ on 387pts, and that points haul took him to 27th in the world. A further 6pts back in 3rd with 381 is team ‘Societa Esportive77’ and owner Boblewo-Garutti Brasil, who has also stuck around in the top 5 for 2 months. 4th place goes to Jaye Williams with his team ‘FC Yayunomi’ on 379 pts. In 5th, a further 5pts back with 374,was Hammad Mudassar and his team ‘Fantastic 11’.

FF247 Manager Of The Month
Fantasy Football 247 leaguesTop spot for September goes to A Khan with his team ‘Disneyland’, he managed to achieve 190pts from only 3 gameweeks, this score had also propelled him to 44th in the FF247 league. Ivan Bosnjak with his team ‘Leafs FC’ pushed for top spot all the way but finished just 1pt behind to take 2nd place with 189pts. Konrad Wojtowicz and Richard Prowse came in with 187pts to tie for 3rd spec with their respective teams ‘Gooners FC’ and ‘Tinkerman United’. 5th place went to Richard Jagers team ‘Wolf Pack’ with 185pts.

FF247 Doubles League
Fantasy Football 247 leaguesThe overall positions in this league are changing every gameweek and top spot at the end of September goes to Timmy + Cartman, alias our Colombian friend Mito + his sidekick Suarez, with their team ‘We Will Bite You’ and a respectable haul of 339pts, NZ Alex + Peaky Dave fought tooth and nail to reach 1st place but just failed finishing 2nd by 1pt on a total of 338. 3rd spot went to an unknown entity, Mr + Mrs Facepalm, with their team ‘No Hope Bob Hope’ who since the start of the season have been slowly picking up momentum to achieve 335pts. Last seasons champions Aditupem have dropped from 1st to 4th place with 330pts. In 5th spec are the up + coming FF247 article writers Calvin + Chins, they appear to have dropped off the pace a bit on 319pts with their team ‘Belly + Clyne’ but will probably blame it on their time writing superb articles rather than amassing points.

Well folks that’s it for September, so congratulations to everyone mentioned. Don’t forget there are only 3 gameweeks in October as we have another international break. Good luck to all for the next month, especially young Tom Farmer, keep the flag flying for FF247 with that high overall ranking.

Aahhhh ! Cookie and Basher, they were the heady days in the summer of 1976, as a young 15 year old, asking Liverpool for a season ticket, i remember my step-father, god rest his soul, after raising the drawbridge, getting out his best quill and writing on parchment, that he would pay the grand sum of 11 old english pounds and 70 pennies to the club. Since that summer my season ticket now costs £725, cheaper than a lot of clubs i may add, so i can understand the cost of going to a one off game. By the way Cooks, we don’t pay for the beer, ask for the bottles, when you have them, send the barmaid/man for some crisps, then leg it, wanna try it sometime. laugh

Basher when you do get to Anfield give us the nod, i’ll catch up with you.

      Evening Elle.
Great post mate! When I go, its straight out of Lime Street and across to the Ship and Mitre for some Erdinger Dunkels. For warmth during the game….obviously! Always sit Lower Centenary, Kop end. I’ll give you a shout when my ticket becomes available and I’m going!

      • Basher, I usually go the game in the car, the little lad has autism, so its straight to the game and home. When i don’t go in the car its the train to Moorfields, then round to the Ship and mitre to meet the lads, small world. If you let me know in time i’ll leave the car at home if i can. laugh

        • B-Bash says:

Sounds like a plan mate! My lad has adhd, so we could try the 4 of us and have a riot! Having said that, he has been to Anfield, but his love of trains is his real passion! He enjoyed the train journey to Anfield more than the game………come to think of it, so did I, we were awfull! smile

        • My little fella is nearly 3, could bring along the older lads, twins at 26, a 22 year old + a step son who is 19, christ forget that it’ll cost a bomb. How olds your lad Bash ?

        • B-Bash says:

That would be expensive! My lad is 10 and a half (he’d go mad if I missed the half off!)
He wants to love football because his Dad does, but just hasnt got the interest. I dont push it either. My 6 year old girl is mad for Liverpool and football!

        • My little fella don’t understand anything at all, takes everything literally, but theres some mean bastards out there, hes got the attention span of a fly anyway. Oh, i’ve got 5 grandkids aswell, 4 boys, 1 girl.

        • B-Bash says:

There are some less than understanding people out there! I’ve had it many times when my lad is being a has a meltdown. Funny you say about attention span, my lad is awfull. Almost comical at times!
You have a big family there mate! Ive got no grandkids and not planning any for many years yet!

        • Bash, we have been out many times when Harry has had a meltdown, no-one has ever said anything, but when they do, they will end up in hospital for sure, and thats only the Mrs. :big-lol:

So I took a picture of my squad @ totalfpl late last night. Pieters was at -78 percent and still he dropped. They are so far off… >.<

Sorry guys last one i promise…
    back seven:
    krul/mannone
    chambers/baines/clyne*/duff/taylor*

    clyne and taylor
    or
    azpilicueta and 4.0?

      NIN says:

      Clyne and Taylor, for me.

      • hazardeden10 says:

thanks nin, found a way so now its just:
azpi vs clyne? still clyne for you?

        • NIN says:

Depends on how you would use the extra money really. On the face of it, Azpi but not by much.

        • hazardeden10 says:

thanks nin, it would be downgrading ulloa to naismith.. smile you all set or holding transfers??

        • NIN says:

I’ll be using my FT for sure, just gonna wait until after the internationals or at least as long as i can during this break. Ulloa –> Welbeck will be my move. I would prefer to have a different 3rd striker but he’s the best i can afford/fit in, just now. I’ve got a 0.3m overlay so hopefully that’s still intact come gwk8, but i doubt it.

        • lawdogg says:

Think i’d fancy Clyne over Azpi just to have the extra cash to use elsewhere.
I’d ship Chambers out as well – he has played 90 minutes for Arsenal 5 times this year, and has picked up a YC in all 5 of them. That’s 1pt/game unless Arsenal keep a CS.
Have you thought about dropping your GK rotation to a 5.0 starter with a 4.0 backup? The Toons are awful this year and Sunderland’s fixtures are about to get tricky.
Yikes – didn’t mean to criticize your team! Those last two are just general comments as i see a lot of teams doing the same thing you are.
          Cheers!

        • hazardeden10 says:

haha no worries, id rather have the criticisms law!!
fair points, lot to think about..just done transfers but they will definitely need fixing for the future..
mannone picks up points from saves most of the time anyway, kruls not ideal but this year seems like a year of attack and less defence.
chambers is a tough one, debuchy will be back in 3 weeks and ill judge it from there…will probably get schlupp in for a replacement!!
i tell you what, if filipe luis started playing, i could have him and forster in goal…. add azpi alongside aguero and falcao to my injury hopes!!!

Haz are you still thinking of putting Augero in if so just a thought their are quite a few options under 8m look @ what 2 players you would have to sacrifice & how many points they could get also my feeling is Augero will go up tonight if you really want him

    hammers says:

    Evening all

I’ve never been afraid of taking the odd 4pt hit however is there any justification for an 8 pointer if there is a one time chance of getting the objective as it’s so sensible to price movements?

The objective is getting baines in and also keeping a full squad of playing players ie no isgroves & zamoras.

If I don’t take the 8 and any prices change by 0.1 I wouldn’t be able do it at all.

    Thoughts anyone

    • 35.1
      hazardeden10 says:

the way i look at it… will you recover the hit and get more points in 2-3 weeks.. if so then a hit is justified. its hard to say, what are you’re actually moves??

      • hammers says:

I think long term with baines it’s probably worthy it. Moves are

        Ulloa to sahko
        Larson to Boyd
        Dummet to baines

        • hazardeden10 says:

yeah, baines seems worth it, you could always do ulloa->naismith, which gives you 0.3 to go from boyd->4.7, maybe wanyama…your call though!!

        • hammers says:

Though about Naismith as a last resort but I think Barkley is back soon which would affect his playing time IMO

          Cheers for the help haz

        • lawdogg says:

i just looked at your team and a -8 to get the job done isn’t bad – you’ve only taken a 4pt hit once this year & your ranking is amazing. You’re bringing in players that are still starting for their teams & you’re getting the guy you want.
My question is: why not Moore -> Baines? I fancy Dummet more than Moore. Just my opinion tho…

        • hammers says:

Could do either but The reason I picked dummet is that Newcastle look truly awful at the back and have got liverpool & spurs in the next 3. I figured leicester fixtures were better.

    • 35.2
      NIN says:

hammers – Only if the players you buy in will be long term options or at the very least, you’ll give them the time to score you some points. A -4 is one thing, but a -8 needs to be thought about a lot more as it may take a few gwk’s before you start to see a return on the hit.

      • hammers says:

Baines is defo a long term option. The other moves just enable me to get him

        • NIN says:

Okay, so, Larsson out for Boyd, fine. Ulloa out for Sakho for a hit and Dummett up to Baines for another hit. I think the key transfer here is Sakho. If he blanks for a couple/few gwks on the trot and becomes surplus to requirements then i would have ?’s over the -8. If Sahko is going to be left be for a decent period of time then i think it’s an okay hit to take in one gwk. (I did something similar recently in taking a hit for Ulloa who i now plan to sell. I regret that decision)

You could get Baines with a -4 though as Courtois came off injured last game and Chelsea haven’t been keeping a heap of CS’s by any means.

      B-Bash says:

      Hammers
The way to look at it is do you think that the 8 point hit will be covered over the coming gameweeks. So even if -8 seems heavy for gw8, it would appear that this could be covered in a short period of time

      • hammers says:

I think it will be covered.

I can actually bring baines in for a -4 if I swap Larson for isgrove. However I will then have the problem of getting rid of him as he doesn’t play which takes another transfer.

Funds are so tight that I’ll probably end up taking 2 lots of -4 over 2/3 weeks so it’s probably best to get it out of the way in one go and be done.
