Fantasy Football 247 League Updates September

Fantasy Football 247 leaguesHello everyone and welcome to the September round up of the FF247 leagues. So how did everyone do this month? Injuries were more common than a scouser in a car park and managers were dreading to be the first one to get the bullet, so lets see who managed to steer their teams through the mine field that is fantasy football and top our compliment of leagues. Any successful managers will be added to our Hall of Fame which is coming soon.

FF247 League
Fantasy Football 247 leaguesTop spot in this league has stayed with Tom Farmer, who was also top in August with his team ‘Blame It On Debuchy’. Tom had amassed 394 points up to the end of September and was sitting pretty in 6th overall in the world, keep up the good work Tom. (The pic above includes this weeks scores that include week 1 from October). 2nd spot goes to Gerrie Pistorius, with his team ‘Pick_And_Hope’ on 387pts, and that points haul took him to 27th in the world. A further 6pts back in 3rd with 381 is team ‘Societa Esportive77’ and owner Boblewo-Garutti Brasil, who has also stuck around in the top 5 for 2 months. 4th place goes to Jaye Williams with his team ‘FC Yayunomi’ on 379 pts. In 5th, a further 5pts back with 374,was Hammad Mudassar and his team ‘Fantastic 11’.

FF247 Manager Of The Month
Fantasy Football 247 leaguesTop spot for September goes to A Khan with his team ‘Disneyland’, he managed to achieve 190pts from only 3 gameweeks, this score had also propelled him to 44th in the FF247 league. Ivan Bosnjak with his team ‘Leafs FC’ pushed for top spot all the way but finished just 1pt behind to take 2nd place with 189pts. Konrad Wojtowicz and Richard Prowse came in with 187pts to tie for 3rd spec with their respective teams ‘Gooners FC’ and ‘Tinkerman United’. 5th place went to Richard Jagers team ‘Wolf Pack’ with 185pts.

FF247 Doubles League
Fantasy Football 247 leaguesThe overall positions in this league are changing every gameweek and top spot at the end of September goes to Timmy + Cartman, alias our Colombian friend Mito + his sidekick Suarez, with their team ‘We Will Bite You’ and a respectable haul of 339pts, NZ Alex + Peaky Dave fought tooth and nail to reach 1st place but just failed finishing 2nd by 1pt on a total of 338. 3rd spot went to an unknown entity, Mr + Mrs Facepalm, with their team ‘No Hope Bob Hope’ who since the start of the season have been slowly picking up momentum to achieve 335pts. Last seasons champions Aditupem have dropped from 1st to 4th place with 330pts. In 5th spec are the up + coming FF247 article writers Calvin + Chins, they appear to have dropped off the pace a bit on 319pts with their team ‘Belly + Clyne’ but will probably blame it on their time writing superb articles rather than amassing points.

Well folks that’s it for September, so congratulations to everyone mentioned. Don’t forget there are only 3 gameweeks in October as we have another international break. Good luck to all for the next month, especially young Tom Farmer, keep the flag flying for FF247 with that high overall ranking.

    Hi all, how’s it going?
Pretty poor 53 points this week after another poor, late captaincy choice.
    Anyway, on to the team:
Want Baines n and have £3.0m to do it. I’m thinking Pieters as his price has dropped and he’s lost out to Muniesa for the foreseeable future. Moreno has great fixtures so even though Pool don’t keep CS I think it would be stupid not to stick with him. Thoughts on Baines for Pieters?

Would the money be better spent elsewhere?
Have Zaha who I need to get rid of but certainly not worth a hit for a bench player unless it means raising funds for a starting XI player.

    Thanks!

      NIN says:

AT – Yeah Pieters out for Baines looks the right move here. Moreno can go next time round 😉

      Ruben says:

Liverpool have been close to a CS in their past 2 matches, it’d be stupid to transfer out Moreno as long as you have a player who doesn’t actually play, which is Pieters. Yes the transfer is perfect, go for it! smile

      • AT says:

        Thanks both of you!
Would that be a transfer now and risk it? Think his price will go up over the long break and I don’t really want to lose team value even though I have a lot of money itb.

        • Ruben says:

Well there’s always a risk in that he might get injured. As long as a 0.1/0.2 raise doesn’t stop you from making the transfer, I’d wait until after the Internationals.

        • Ruben says:

Keep an eye on Pieter’s price aswell as it might drop.

        • NIN says:

AT – You have more than enough banked so a small price change really doesn’t affect you. I would wait.

        • AT says:

NIN/Ruben – Hmm, think Baines will play in the Internationals?

        • NIN says:

          Yeah, he’s first choice.

        • Ruben says:

AT – he has been called up and will definitely be joining them, even if it’s just to sit on the bench. If he will play is yet to see, but I imagine he will.

        • Ruben says:

NIN knows what he’s talking about, so it’s a yes. smile

        • AT says:

NIN/Ruben – Yeah I know he’s first choice but didn’t know if he would play given the fixtures they have…Would seem wiser to play inexperienced plays against the likes of San Marino and Estonia in my opinion!
Also if Baines goes up and Pieters goes down I would start losing a lot of team value..

        • NIN says:

Both are qualifiers though so they should really be full strength unless there’s injuries or what not. Baines will play the majority of both games if not the full 180 minutes.

        • AT says:

Hmm…may just pull the trigger anyway 😉
Thanks for your words of warning though! I give you permission to look smug should he get injured 😉

anyone know how close Stoke’s Cameron is to being healthy? Will he go straight back into the squad as a starter?

    hazardeden10 says:

Sup all, does anyone actually like the international break?? 😉
Want to get my transfers sorted by tonight…..avoiding prices rises!! (injuries are my fault!) here goes:
    1. Aguero??
    2. Baines??(Terry–> baines?.. i have always like chelsea at the back?)
    3. Naismith..(double everton if i do option 2 as well?)
    4. any other options iv inevitably missed?

    thoughts all appreciated smile

      webstar87 says:

You’re looking a bit heavy in midfield right now mate, I’d hate to stop any of them… Maybe downgrade one to make the money for baines?

      • hazardeden10 says:

thanks webstar, if i was to get baines, i still reckon id upgrade terry… i can’t think of any one of them i would take out, only on would be silva but that would only be if i had aguero up front!!!

    • 28.2
      NIN says:

      hazardeden10 –

      1. It’s going to be a lot of work to get Aguero in. Might even be a WC job to be honest.
      2. I like this move as you’ve already got double Chelsea and Baines is in beast mode.
      3. Nah. Might as well stick with Ulloa.

      • hazardeden10 says:

        cheers nin
        1. unfortunately not an option since fpl have only given me one WC this year :/
        2. think this is the move ill commit to, unless i can be convinced otherwise!
        3. any other choices? diame maybe? ulloa hasn’t scored against place or burnley in the last 2 weeks!

        • NIN says:

hazardeden10 – Baines is the move i would make. Yeah Ulloa has bothered me too, to the point where he’s likely out the door for me. You could get Sakho in for Ulloa i suppose but i see more potential in Baines than Sakho.

        • hazardeden10 says:

          yeah I meant sakho :cuckoo:
baines coming in for terry now…

      lawdogg says:

I’m sure there is some sadist out there that likes international breaks but i just see it as a chance for my team’s players to be banjanxed in worthless games that no one watches. anyway…
Tough choice between Aguero & Baines as I think they will both rise during the break & I don’t see how you can get both in your team without a wildcard.
Baines is probably the easier of the two to get in: Terry/Silva to Baines/Tadic gets you there with money left over.
I’ve been trying to work out how to get both in your team but it would take probably 5 moves to do so!

      • hazardeden10 says:

thanks law, england will probably go and 0-0 against san marino now!!
yeah will aim for baines i think…
        this is for aguero…
        ulloa–> aguero
        silva—>downing
        terry–> 4.3

not sure though…as i say, he’ll hopefully get injured!!!
        thanks for feedback buddy smile

      B-Bash says:

Beast of a midfield mate. I’ve looked at options to get Aguero in and like everyone has said, its very difficult without multiple moves. I would aim for Baines!

    Jeet T4 says:

I’ve know it Early but is Anyone going to Captain Pelle/Welbeck or is everyone playing it safe and going for Costa/Aguero ?

    • 29.1
      hazardeden10 says:

costa for me jeet, can’t see him not scoring against palace, unless he’s rested… don’t think mou can work his magic against spain and let costa rest for the internationals! vice is currently on adm, but welbeck could definitely be worth a shout!!

    • 29.2
      NIN says:

Jeet – I’ve spent big on Costa and Aguero for a reason so it’ll be one of those every week for me. Probably going to stick with Aguero for gwk8 once that pesky hammy stays in one piece 😉

    • 29.3
      lawdogg says:

Very tempted to captain ADM – had him as VC last week and he would have been a huge differential if i’d had the stones to captain him. so hard to ignore Costa though…

    • 29.4
      B-Bash says:

      Jeet,
Costa for me. Welbeck and Pelle, are a gamble. Costa is safe option. I dont think gambles on captain choice are needed yet, but only my opinion. Plus, I think I’d give it to ADM before Pelle/Welbeck smile

    • 29.5
      Ruben says:

I will captain Angel if nothing happens. He has proven worth it, maybe even more so than Costa.

    Silverback says:

Evening all I thk you have to take risks on Cap picks now & then I had Siggy this wk & he didn’t let me down

    • 30.1
      NIN says:

Nice pick Silvers 😉 I think a risky (c) every now and then is a good thing once it’s well thought out, like your most recent pick was. In general though, best to stick by the consistent goal scorers. This time round however, Costa, Aguero and Di Maria are the three ‘safe options’. If i was to pick a punt for gwk8 it would be Baines but that’s huge risk/reward right there laugh

      • Silverback says:

Hi NiN Looking @ the stats I would say Costa is obvious choice although Cry no push overs If I was a betting man I might go for Sterling QPR have let in more goals than any club per game I’m not counting Eve as Che put 6 past them
