Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 16

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 16. And we go again… We were promised ‘thick and fast’ in the weeks ahead, and it’s already starting to feel that way, as we have our 3rd GW begin within the space of 8 days, ‘get used to it’ is all we can offer by way of comfort.

GW16 is a tad Saturday heavy with no less than 8 games. We kick off with Bournemouth hosting Liverpool in the early one prior to five 3pm games. There are then two evening games beginning with a potential cracker as Chelsea welcome the Pep (rotation) machine at 5.30pm before Leicester take on Spurs in a rare Saturday evening treat at 7.45pm.

Sunday only has one game as a result, oddly. This one sees Newcastle play Wolves before Monday finishes us off with Everton at home to Watford.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 16 from all at FF247!

Mane owners, are you sticking with him or swapping him for Salah? Only way I can get Salah without having to downgrade elsewhere and take a hit is by selling Sterling for him, which I don’t want to do since I don’t have Aguero. If Richarlison blanks again tomorrow would it make sense to use my FT this GW to sell him for Son?

    Smash says:

Early thoughts what to do here. 0.9 in the bank one free transfer? I still have my wildcard which needs to be used really soon. I’m thinking Richarlson out as he has City and Spurs next. BSilva maybe or Sterling in for Hazard

      inittowinit says:

I’m planning on stashing Richie on the bench for the next 2 myself, his fixtures after those are great.

      Zed Leppelin says:

Yeah I’d sell Richarlison and then get him with WC (if you still want him then), wouldn’t ditch Hazard now I think, Chelsea will gain some confidence from this City beating, I’d use the FT on Richarlison… Why not Richarlison –> Anderson? Anderson is in great form!

      • Smash says:

I’d love to do Anderson. Problem is I have three West Ham players already. Bloody Diangana

        • Zed Leppelin says:

Ah right didn’t spot him there… That’s tough then as it’s really slim pickings at that price, the second name I’d suggest there is Fraser smile Martial is a doubt perhaps and a tough fixture, Siggy has the same problem as Richarlison, Bilva is a rotation risk….

        • Smash says:

I’m thinking BSilva because of the DSilva injury and KDB is going to be eased back which makes BSilva quite important

        • Kralin says:

B Silva is the way I’m looking to get back into City. I started the season with him and he was ok, kept things ticking along just about.

Recent weeks have seen me splurge on Kane and Lacazette so not much money left. B Silva will hopefully play and has shown he can get double-digit returns.

        • Smash says:

Yeah I need some sort of City coverage. Might be damage limitation with BSilva rather than cover but is capable

        • Smash says:

Hmm maybe not so good for BSilva

      Kralin says:

Thanks. Miraculously hauled myself back (last night I forgot to include bonus points). I hope everyone else is, like me, having a quiet little blub of gratitude in a Doherty direction. What a handy player he’s been.

Mention Doherty and Fraser in the same sentence and I break down completely.

      • AJW says:

Thoroughly agree young K. Although with me it was Doherty, Robbo, Torreira, Alonso & Son (mixture of existing team members & new recruits) to get me all emotional & thanking some divine presence not to have punished me for joining the masses who sacked Salah & Hazard for other illustrious names (Sterlo, Kane, Auba, Son) – honest, I was going to do it anyway, as I was fed up with my mediocrity. Salah’s hat-trick had me rueing my imprudence, but some of the boys saved my day & I’ve crossed the 60 point GW barrier – it could have been a lot different, so I got off lightly.
Now must keep my resolve AND my team intact for the next 3 or 4 GWs, so I can benefit from my otherwise hasty actions! smile Bye for now. Shall ask your advice in future before acting unwisely.

Thoughts on priorities here? 2fts 0itb
Was thinking Pickford out but after the next 2 GWs his run looks lovely. Think I’ll just hold onto him.
Seems Dilva and Dunk both need to be dealt with.
    What would you do?

    Evening

How is everyone? Anyone else had a shocker or was it just me?

Need to deal with Barkley for GW17, got 0.2 ITB so I don’t have many options except for Snodgrass or torreria, who would you go for?

Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

      gkw says:

Evening, Mitro. I think it’s fair to say that the FF247 site team’s also had a bit of a shocker this GW. Unless Richarlison scores heavily against the mighty ‘orns tomorrow, the site team’s not likely to grace the cup with its presence this year.

      • inittowinit says:

I don’t think he mentioned the Site Team there GKW? How’s your own season going?

        • gkw says:

He mentioned shockers this GW smile My own season? Ahem, well I think the cup’s my best chance of any silverware… But I’m still hopeful of finishing in the top 100k.

        • inittowinit says:

The ‘Site Team’ is often self deprecating enough when it’s warranted, no airs or graces there. You were always it’s biggest critic though so no surprise to see you suddenly pipe up when it’s not had a good week and you have. See you again in about another 4 seasons then yeah? 😉

        • gkw says:

Granted, I’m guilty of disappearing for months if not indeed entire seasons. That’s been more due to being too busy with other things than despondency or embarrassment about my team’s performance. And yeah, very(!) occasionally I’m lucky enough to have a dig at the site team. But it’s a bit harsh to say I’ve always been the site team’s greatest critic, no? I think most of my posts are responses to requests for advice.

      Mitro,

I made some notes this weekend for Tips and one was to look more closely at the numbers of Torreira. He will be mentioned this week. But then again so will Snoddy. They are in my bargain bin for mids.

I will say that for a defensive midfielder, Torreira’s goal involvement is respectable across his time in Italy and the start of his Arsenal career. I would keep in mind that he is only 5.0M so fills a hole so to speak – it’s not like you’re paying premium price for a midfielder. I’ll stop now before I write the article here smile
