Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 2.
If you made it from GW1 to GW2 then that probably either means you scored well in GW1 and are still full of beans having done so or that you are simply a proper FPL player and know that you will make it to GW38 regardless. Either way GW2 is upon us so let’s go see how the weekend pans out…
Arsenal’s reserve team got off to a good start with 3 points away at Newcastle and they clash in the days early game with a bouyant Burnley side who beat Southampton 3-0 in their own first game.
3pm sees us with five games but with the exception of Liverpool it’s a list of the ‘also-rans’ again. There’s definitely a pattern developing here… Villa host Bournemouth with both looking for their first win, Everton host Watford with both looking for their first win, Norwich host Newcastle with both looking for their first win, Brighton host West Ham with both looking for their first win, (oh hang on, Brighton won?!) West ham looking for their first win. Southampton host Liverpool and of course the hosts are looking for their first win. They’ll still be looking next week too.
The evening game is argueably the first big clash of the titans this season as Man City host Spurs.
Sunday sees Sheffield United and Palace get us going at 2pm, with both teams looking for their first win. That is followed at 4.30pm by Chelsea and Leicester, with… yeah, you guessed it, both teams looking for their first win!
We go to Monday this time too as Wolves host Man United in a mouth watering clash.
The games in full…

Iv never really done early transfer so I’m not sure about the ups and downs of them.
I’m tempted to do Fraser to Ceballos(is there someone better?) and King to Pukki tonight before the rise.
That would leave me with 1.9m in the bank unused though which is a bit of a waste is it?
I’m shit at this
Mate, you’re not shit at this at all. That’s a good squad.
The two you’re bringing in are the two I’ll probably bring in as well so I love the moves.
Timing versus value is everything. Some like to go for early value by buying before the price rise (I.e. tonight in Pukki’s case) others play safe in case any other dramas crop up – keep in mind we still have three matches and a week’s training to go before the next deadline.
By the looks of things you should be able to afford those proposed moves anytime in the next week.
Personally I would wait and have the safety net of being able to change your plans if you have to.
Haha appreciate it man. That comment below was a reply I sent twice btw, sorry about that.
Ahhhhh you are 100% correct, I will be able to afford them either way, that never crossed my mind. I was rushing to catch the price rise for some reason. Not even sure how important that is.
I think I’ll play it safe for now and transfer those two in depending on how the week goes with injuries etc.

Ups = you’ll boost your team value.
Downs = risk of players getting injured in the rest of the GW / in training before the next GW, so just be ok within yourself to taking a hit if necessary.
Ah fair enough. I don’t know much about talkSport so I will heed your warning. I just threw it on as it was the first one I found.
Haha thanks lad, hopefully it comes better soon!
Deulofeu to Pukki tonight? One going down and he going up!
Igy
Do you have another free transfer sitting there to deal with anything else?
Yes, 2FTs this week GP and I have 0.5itb. I read your comment above regarding being able to afford players regardless of price rises which is the case for me. I have been in a situation in previous seasons where I had a much better team due to my team value than some of my rivals could get later in the season. Obviously you only ever benefit from these if you sell a player so I guess I’m contemplating the early move to gain team value versus waiting.
Well if you have a transfer left over to deal with anything else arising, then I’d go for it.
see comments above…
Watford in theory have the easier tie but form is sketchy.
The question is fixtures or form then I guess!
I’m surprised Barnes isn’t being spoken of more amongst all this Pukki love. Tricky forthcoming followed by a nice run of games.
Is it worth holding two LIV def? That nightmare GK has me very worried. Thanks
That’s a great question, so far they have been useless (apart from VVD)
Depends what ur moving to bees
Thinking of moving from this -4 to below
To this. Can’t seem to get Kane in and Robertson out without a hit. Nomnom looks pretty good.
I’m inclined to give them the Arsenal game – likely to be a very open game – and will then assess.
However I haven’t really looked closely at my possible moves this week so I may ditch one of them; we’ll see.
Anyone have any news on the Digne injury? Is it serious?
Marco Silva
That sounds hopeful then
Guys I’m thinking of doing the following for a hit:
Perez to KDB
Salah to Mane
And Robertson to zouma
Any thoughts, thanks guys.
Let’s see if Zouma plays. Rudiger may be back. I think Zouma is ahead of Chrisensen but not confirmed yet. Mane looks hot. Salah to Mane may start to trend, but there are risks and or reward with the respective ownership.
