Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3

A lunch time kick-off gets us going this week when Wolves or as City likes to call promoted teams, dinner, face off. That is followed by four 3pm games. Arsenal and West Ham tangle in a battle to save face, that is accompanied by the two worst teams in the Premier League matching up when Huddersfield welcomes Cardiff, about the only team the Terriers will feel like they can take any points off. In the other two similar time fixtures, the Vardy-less Foxes take on Southampton and The Cherries play host to Richarlison’s Toffees. Our Saturday finishes with Liverpool putting a half a dozen past Brighton in the late game.

Sunday brings us another three games. Watford look for their third win this new season when Palace drop in, the other two fixtures see Fulham versus Burnley and the heavy spending Toon go against Sarri with his high pressing, no defending side.

Our game-week is brought to an end when styles clash at Old Trafford as United see Spurs come in for a visit. Should be fun watching Jose rally his loyal troops to get all XI behind the ball, while Poch implores his side to not let them out of the back.

Should I go Richardson for Walcott (I am aware there is plenty of time)

      inittowinit says:

He’s a bit marmite but personally I think that’s the best move considering the other options available as all seem to have some other issue attached be it play time or just poor fixtures.

Have 2 ft’s and Arnie plus Richarlison or whatever he’s called. How serious is Arnies injury?

I was thinking Rich to Wally, BSilva to Fraser and Peltier to Alonso.

    Afternoon all.
Going to shift out Richarlison and mahrez.
    Got 15.7 to spend
    Hard who to bring in

Is this lot too much for a WC this week
    Fabianski/Speroni
    Robertson, Alonso, Mendy, WanB, Bennett
    Salah/Miki/Kante/Wally or Rich/Stephens
    Kun/Kane/Kamara
    Leaves .3itb

Is that what you’re proposing to do? Depends what you’re exiting to get there?

      EBC says:

Decent team but I think Kane/Aguero/Salah leaves you light. You may be better going for 2 out of 3 with say Alli/D Silva/Mane instead of whoever is left out.

Keepers – I’d go Etheridge if you’re looking for a single keeper. Or better yet rotating with McCarthy/Hennessey/Foster
      Defence – perfect.
Mids – not sure on Kante. Stephens could drop as well so maybe Westwood instead
Forwards – Kamara is a waste, for an extra 1m you could get Ings. Just depends how much you want the premium trio.

So I used my 2FTs to be able to bring in Alonso (and Mitrovic).
I’m stuck with Richarlison, do you think it’s worth hitting for Walcott? Alternative is to play Wan Bissaka who has good fixtures too.
I’m also a bit concerned with BSilva.

Hope you guys are having a good week. I have one FT and 0.4 itb. Any thoughts on my team? Few burning issues in form or Mahrez, Richy, Shaw. Should i bite the bullet or make a change?

      EBC says:

I’d bring in Walcott for Rich and bench Shaw.

Mahrez may be due a game so could do really well this week.

      • coys9 says:

Felt like I kind miss the sell Richy boat. Is it just me or this season’s price change seems to be quicker. For now I’m inclined to stick to Richy as I would get him after suspension anyway.

        • EBC says:

I reckon there are 3 things contributing to that:
          1) world cup/new manager uncertainty leading to picks we didn’t want in the first place
          2) Not a lot going on in Europe to worry about
          3) No transfer window so people feeling safer making early transfers

      • Smash says:

I agree with EBC. Mahrez is a problem long term but you might get away with it this week

        • coys9 says:

that would make Shaw the main issue to address especially if he doesn’t play. Would prefer to bring in Alonso for Shaw But will need to shift some value.

      inittowinit says:

Shaw would concern me there, but let’s see what tonight’s team sheet says.

      DMC says:

A bit of a pickle there Coys. If Shaw and Mahrez don´t play/start the next one you are looking at a 9-men team + Stephens.
In light of that, I say you sell Rich – as he is definitely out – and hope for one from Shaw/Mahrez to play and avoid a hit.
If you are willing to take a hit though, then I’d probably let Rich rot on the bench and go full on selling Mahrez and Shaw for Mkhi and Alonso, if that works.

      • coys9 says:

Some good ideas there’s DMC. Just to sum it up
        1. Rich to a 7.0m mid. (0.1m short of Mikhi >.<)
        2. Mahrez/Shaw to Mikhi/Alonso for -4

        Hmm…

        • man u man says:

2 looks good to me, but then you’re still stuck with Rich. Does this mean you’re going to hold on to him until his suspension ends?

        • coys9 says:

Well I go with no.2 I have the option of playin 4-3-3 with WB as the next two fixture looks decent for Palace

        • DMC says:

Coys – Yep, that’s what I was suggesting. And I do like option 2 better, mainly because it gets you Alonso and solves the anxiety that comes with having Mahrez. If option 1, I’d probably go Wally. But option 2 allows you to keep the bloody twat too, instead of using two FT on selling and rebuying him, which I believe is what we’ll all inevitably be doing if he reignites with the same form. Rich, that is. I’m contemplating keeping him (and bite the bullet of not gaining 0.1 on him), but I am in a different position because I can probably do that with no hits involved while buying Alonso and fielding a decent XI in both weeks. What I don’t want to do is rush my decision process because of the odd 0.1 or even 0.2. I’d only consider early moves if there’s a risk of not being able to buy the ones you really want in a given week (such has me with Alonso there).

        • coys9 says:

Thanks DMC. I do fancy option 2 as well but will surely wait till end of the week if there’s no price rise/fall impact. Cheers
