Fantasy Premier League £500 Regulars League 2019/20
Hello everyone and welcome back to the FF247 Regulars League(s).
The purpose of this article is so that our Regulars League has a permanent home for reference points throughout the season such as cup draws and the like. It is permanently linked on our Hot Topics just above the latest comments.
As usual we will have a Regulars Classic League and we also have H2H leagues with promotion and relegation as well as a Regulars Cup starting in January.
We do have a main FF247 league and that is open to every man/woman and their dog. There is no autolink facility available from FPL yet but if you wish to join that one, for which there will also be a prize, the code is;

The Regulars League is a bit more selective. You have to be a member of FF247 and you have to post comments in the community here on a regular enough basis to be easily recognisable, and posting is monitored by the way.
Its not hard to join, e-mail me (Elle) at the address below and leave these details for me.
1- Your site user name.
2- Your real name.
3- Your team name from last season and new team name if it has changed. New members, just your team name.
These leagues are free to join but you do need to mail me. Deadline is midnight on the 6th August for the H2H leagues as I’ll need time to promote people if we have drop-outs. The Classic Regulars League can remain open for longer. Get mailing folks :- elleffcee@gmail.com
All we ask is that if you enter the league please keep the league code to yourself and don’t share it with friends and family who don’t frequent the site. It’s a community only league and we would like to keep it that way.

My first draft of the season. What do people think please. I’ve tried linking my team but it doesn’t seem to be working for me.

Cheers mate. It will probably change alot before the start of the season. I normally don’t like investing too heavily in defence but looks like alot of people are this season.
Yeah I’d look to get Kane in and downgrade the defence. I’m not totally sold on Trent + Robertson, seems a bit risky to me.
Yeah true mate. Double defence is always a bit dodgy in fairness.
It takes a bit to take on the linking, but you wouldn’t be able to link it for us to see your current team, we can only go in and see your results so it be after GW1 before anyone could see what you have and even then it would not account for any transfers made during the current GW.

This time last year it took you to your previous GW / season history page, not sure why it no longer does. Mine is linked correctly and it’s showing Page Not Found just as yours is so you’ve probably done it correctly but the FPL site isn’t playing ball just yet.
It seems to click in the next working day.
Did mine the day it launched and when I click it it’s still not showing for me. Is my link showing for you?

I do Kop, and that’s exactly what I was basing the previous ‘success’ of on as it happens! I remember doing yours and checking it.
Kralin, I’m not seeing the erroneous ‘a’ anywhere? I’m seeing what you say initially. Which is an exact copy/paste from the FPL site, sans ‘a’.

I may need to take a risk or two after tomorrow’s game.
I prefer at least one big striker if possible, but your back line and mids are strong so you might not need one. I don’t mind this team for GW1.

Anybody remember what impact afcon/copa has traditionally had on minutes and form for prem players?
I doubt any. Copa America don’t have that much longer left. And last year after World Cup they were all back
There seems to to a lot of love for a strong back four , what reason for this do we expect the high level of goals , CS & assists as last season ???
Prob the value. Not sure I’m keen in four at the back if I can help it. But I like TAA, Robbo and Mendy to start and that’s a lot of cash
Yeah I think Smash is right that it’s the value. If you View “All Players” and Sort By “Points per match” just look at how much you need to spend on a midfielder or attacker in order to get yourself a PPM of 5 compared to a defender. Of course this assumes that as you say, the defenders keep performing at that same level. But it also assumes that the forwards and midfielders perform at the same level too. Could that change this season?
I’m currently on four at the back now. Saw some stats on Digne that looked pretty impressive and think he will outscore a 6.5 mid or forward. Just seems to be value there

That shouldn’t be showing unless an update has been run which we didn’t know about. I’ll check and make sure it is removed. Or just buy a calculator
It’s not set as a standard setting. I just logged out and back in again and had no math to answer. I redid it and deliberately failed the password about 10 times to see if it forced something and it didn’t. Post a pic of it if it happens again please.
