Fantasy Premier League £500 Regulars League 2019/20

Hello everyone and welcome back to the FF247 Regulars League(s).

The purpose of this article is so that our Regulars League has a permanent home for reference points throughout the season such as cup draws and the like. It is permanently linked on our Hot Topics just above the latest comments.

As usual we will have a Regulars Classic League and we also have H2H leagues with promotion and relegation as well as a Regulars Cup starting in January.

We do have a main FF247 league and that is open to every man/woman and their dog. There is no autolink facility available from FPL yet but if you wish to join that one, for which there will also be a prize, the code is;

FF247 Main Site League – ikkny1 Which is almost kinky…

The Regulars League is a bit more selective. You have to be a member of FF247 and you have to post comments in the community here on a regular enough basis to be easily recognisable, and posting is monitored by the way.

Its not hard to join, e-mail me (Elle) at the address below and leave these details for me.
1- Your site user name.
2- Your real name.
3- Your team name from last season and new team name if it has changed. New members, just your team name.

These leagues are free to join but you do need to mail me. Deadline is midnight on the 6th August for the H2H leagues as I’ll need time to promote people if we have drop-outs. The Classic Regulars League can remain open for longer. Get mailing folks :- elleffcee@gmail.com

All we ask is that if you enter the league please keep the league code to yourself and don’t share it with friends and family who don’t frequent the site. It’s a community only league and we would like to keep it that way.

Anyone getting Saints players? Didn’t think so. They’re going to win the league, apparently. laugh

      Loud Atlas says:

Ha! Currently, I’ve got…*checks*…none. Their December fixtures look ok (Home to NOR & WHU and Away to NEW & AVL), but on the whole their fixtures aren’t that appetising.

Haha, well if Leicester did it… smile

      • Kralin says:

Your chum Che Adams has come in at an attractive price.

Southampton don’t have the easiest of starts, however.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

One for the watchlist for me, if he clicks well with the lads and the Ralph Express starts chu-chuing like there’s no tomorrow then I will consider him… 22 goals in a struggling Birmingham side last season is something to ponder on!

First RMT. How’s this-4-4-2, the 4.0s and 4.5s as placeholders until we see the new teams, and Mane for Salah+.

    Cathcart
    Robertson

    Mane
    Sterling
    Brooks

I like the mixture – I’ve gone for Cathcart too as he’s fairly consistent. Sterling, Mane and Kane could do you very well (I’ve got 2/3). I hope Kelly gets a place – he’d be a good inclusion for 4m.

I’m not too sure on the double defence of Liverpool (or MCI if you were to swap Alisson for Ederson). However, out of all of the opening fixtures LIV’s has the most CS potential.

I’m impressed you’ve managed to put a team together that has three premiums yet doesn’t look threadbare elsewhere.

My problem with three premiums is that premiums don’t give you value for money unless you’re captaining them regularly. And to state the obvious, you won’t be captaining two of them each week. However it does give you more captain option flexibility.

I quite like this. It’s a bit different as well

      • KI says:

        Guys,

Thanks for all the comments. Some questions, if you have the time. Loud Atlas-if I went with 8.5 for keepers, and wanted to upgrade Cathcart to a premium, who would you pick? GentleBenAKA-I usually try to have three potential captains so I can rotate (all) of them. Am I reaching too far? (The good forwards/mids are blessed expensive-perhaps DeBruyne for Sterling, but I worry about rotation/injuries). And Smash-have you seen any decent write-ups on the three new teams?

        • Smash says:

I’ve not seen anything from the new promoted teams I like. Norwich have a couple of options but their fixtures are so bad. Elmohammady and Targett could be decent wingback options at 4.5. Striker is only 6 at Villa but how will he adapt. The decent full back at Sheffield United is overpriced at 5

      • KI says:

        Smash,

Thanks for the succinct summary. I’ll check this out.

We are starting to put our teams together and it seems quite possible that Salah/Mane may not start. Both have a chance of going all the way in African Cup of Nations…eek!

Just out of interest how many people pay to join mini leagues?

I do, think they make it a bit more interesting. I really like ones where it includes cup formats. Would be great if anyone knows any fun ones to join to

I did my first cash league last year, cane second and got £250 (£50 buy in) will do so again this year it’s a great incentive!

I’ve never paid a penny before to join one other than my work one last year but that was only because I felt duty bound to do so. And I don’t think they’ll let me back in this year anyway given the ruptions it caused!

Plenty of cash prize leagues around to enter for free if that’s your motivation.

Start with the Regs one on here if you haven’t done so already. Fact that it’s free and that it’s against people you ‘know’ is always a big tick for me.

      • Offalymartin says:

Cheers mate. Yep I joined the regulars one this season already. I struggle to find the free cash ones ha. I won the quack creative one last season which was free to enter.

I’m still waiting on €50 for another league I won which I doubt I’ll get now.

I’ve never joined a cash league, mainly because I’m lazy.

    Hello all

    I hope everyone is well?

Here is my first attempt – no doubt this will completely change before the season starts!
