Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team DGW24.

We knew there was a reason we kept ignoring the fact that we had (a) Pope in goal…

We won’t claim a masterstroke or indeed divine intervention here, after all he actually caused Vardy to lose 2 points in the process. His 12 and TAA’s 10 made up 22 of our ‘defences’ 25. Our mids got us 19, 10 of those being from Jack the Lad who thankfully we played ahead of Todd the Wrath. Our new signing Ings did what all of our new signings seem to do on their debut for us; he got 2 points. Vardy somehow managed a big fat zero but Jiménez rescued the front line with two goals and 13 points in total.

All in all then a good week which saw us post 59 points and a green arrow to leave us in 92,116th place. Praise the Lord! Or at least the Pope*.

Our G24 Transfer(s)
Our Ings transfer may not have worked out immediately but what it did do was leave us room / money to accomodate our 3rd Liverpool asset of choice; Robertson. As planned we have bought Robbo to sit alongside TAA and fingers crossed, Liverpool will keep another two clean sheets this week to make it nine in a row. Given our record of jinxing players, we don’t necessarily recommend you copy our move smile

To confirm then we have SOLD Tyrone Mings and BOUGHT Andrew Robertson

Captain – TRIPLE CAPTAIN SADIO MANÈ

The TC chip has been played after Manè (TC) received three votes, enough to gain a majority and leave the remaining committee members ruefully waving goodbye to the chance to TC TAA. Manè’s record this season speaks for itself and a fixture vs West Ham proved too much of a temptation for us.

Vice-captain is TAA (just to placate the two idiots amongst our number).

  1. Conundrum:
    1. Do I use TC chip on a Liv player this DGW or save it for better opportunity later??
    2. If yes, then who should I use the TC on? Mane, Salah or TAA??

    Please suggest

    • It’s a good opportunity, but personally I’m going to hold as I like my chips come the end of the season. It’s that planning and use of them during that 3/4 week period I really enjoy. Thats the only reason I’m not using it. If you just look at it as Liverpool are in great form and they are good fixtures, then this is a great time to play it. I’d also go Mane.

    • I think you just gotta/wanna play the odds, the percentages might be in playing it now on either Mane or Salah (god only knows which one) this GW, but of course it could work or it could go tits up… Same applies to every week you’re playing it, I usually don’t play it early due to psychological reasons, but I guess I’d equally be pissed if I didn’t use it now and Mane or Salah got a good haul! I am playing it now for what it’s worth (no idea whether on Mane or Salah)

    • VVD for Tomori but if I had that much spare I’d go TAA. Then again you could go Salah in for KDB.

      • Do you think getting Salah would be better option for this DGW?
        If the defence I have looks solid then I’m willing to put Salah in.

        • That’s the route I’m going down but that’s not to say it’s the correct one. The thing with TAA is that he’s one you’d then want to keep for the rest of the season.

        • I think I have to be sensible then and go for TAA.
          And I will TC Mane.

    Big decision to make with the TC. Realistically is there going to be a better chance worth holding out for to use it, I’m unsure about using it but feel if I don’t I’ll be wiped out in mini leagues I’m doing well in.

    • You won’t be wiped out as such as you’d still have yours to come. Play it if you think it’s right, not whether others are.

    • In a best case scenario it’s 20 points difference er are talking about here. Not a big deal really…

      • Unless mane and Salah go crazy with double hat tricks or something mad 😆

        • Had TC on Alexis Sanchez a few years back. He took like 15 points in the first game an like 17 in the second. Can’t remember exactly. But I still compare every TC with that!

      • Yep, it’s not as big a decision as people seem to think imo!

    Should I take a point hit to move Rich out if so who for? Doucouré, Watford doing better decent fixtures or a West Ham punt, dont like their fixtures though?

  5. Morning all! Not my greatest week finishing on 41 last week! Any ideas what to do here? I have 2FTs and 0.1 to spend. Does Richarlison need to go or put him on the bench? Abraham need replacing?

    • What about replacing Richarlison with a cheap 4.5M midfielder and then Tammy to Kun? You can then play either 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 depending on the fixtures.

      • Hey Tornado! Would love to have Kun but not nearly enough cash for those moves. Tammy to Kun would only leave me with 3.7 for a cheap mid!

  6. I’ve decided to hold my nose and go with TC Mane.
    Pretty much what many did in the last general election 😀

      Do you have Salah or was it an easy choice for you? Think I’ll honestly flip a coin on Mane/Salah TC… 😀

      • Zed, I do have Salah and TAA as well but think Mane is a bit more explosive this season, plus he hasn’t blanked in three in a row so far, due for some big comeback and more points than salad who most likely will get a goal in each game( big if) 😉
        * As for caving. I did say the other day that things could change. Well, don’t want to wait until after few pints and stick the TC on someone else by mistake :meeting:

        • Well, I’ll admit there was always that 1% likelihood of that happening, anyway, jokes aside, let’s hope for a massive Mané haul then (think I’m favoring Mane too now)!!! He was subbed off on the weekend whereas Salah played 90, could be the other way around in Thursday
