Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8.

These GW’s get earlier and earlier. We begin this one with a 4pm deadline on Friday as Brighton and Burnley go all Box Office on us. Ever that hardy and all that… The late game is at 8pm as Southampton begin life sans Danny Ings against Newcastle.

Saturday sees the now normal succession of games beginning at 12.30pm with Everton hosting Man United and ending at about 10pm as West Ham and Fulham do battle in the late one (8pm KO). In between Palace and Leeds occupy the 3pm slot and Sheffield United go to Chelsea at 5.30pm.

It’s another marathon on Sunday as West Brom and Spurs kick us off at 12pm, Leicester host Wolves at 2pm, it’s the biggie at 4.30 pm as Pep welcomes Jurgen before Arsenal and Villa welcome in the International Break at 7.15pm.

The games in full…

Time to get 12 days of tinkering and get mad!
    vs.
Time to forget FPL for at least next 7 days and free your mind for a fresh restart.

Just out of interest, do many of you guys still have your WC intact? And for those of you that still have it, are you trying to save it until the latest possible GW?

Wish I had one as messed mine up. There’s an argument for as late as possible but also one now or next week with the fixture swing for a lot of teams. I’m sure some injuries and something COVID related will happen in this break too

      • Kop Warrior says:

I’ve seen a lot of talk about the fixture swing. Obviously the big swing is in favour of City but if I’m being honest I’m in no rush to get either KdB or Sterling.
I’ve currently got double Spurs and am considering Grealish as my Son replacement.

        • Smash says:

City is the big one with Spurs. There are others though as well. I don’t think City are showing much at all KDB and Sterling look out of form to me and I thought Liverpool should have won that game comfortably. The flip side I find it hard to believe they don’t smash Fulham, Burnley and West Brom at home.

Agree…MC don’t inspire me at all. Maybe down the line.
The same with MU other than Fernandez. Don’t have him yet either.

Ive held mine and plan to keep it until later. Not sure when Utd and City have their DGW but ideally I’d build towards that then wildcard afterwards to have a good balanced team heading into the 2nd half of the season. That’s the plan anyway

Yes saving it until the last bit of gristle has been gnawed off the bone.

Hey guys, a long way to go yet but what do you think should be my priority for GW9?

    1FT and 2.6m

    Players I like:
    Grealish
    Ziyech
    Fernandes

    Podence/Son the likely make ways.

Somehow I fancy Vardy will be the next (GW10) Bandwagon. Can see him on a rampage going for Golden Boot.

I really don’t, well not on the evidence so far. He’s not looked great his goals in open play (only 3) have all come against high line defences and Leicester have had 8 pens this season which is on course for 38 if things continue at that ratio. He’s not done much else and he plays generally deep lying defences after Liverpool.
