Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!

451169898Looking to entertain whilst not losing the opportunity to be somewhat informative we come to a new addition of Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! We have selected a number of quick questions that we have seen on the minds of fantasy managers this past week and hope the many, many, many years of knowledge from our 3 very senior (Queen of England old) writers will assist you in your decision making. They will follow some semblance of order as explained below, but they are stubborn at best and forever crankheads so answers are never restricted by any rules as you will soon find out. Hope you enjoy and now let us get down to business…

Grab – You need this player on your squad.
Avoid – It’s a trap don’t get suckered in.
Bore off – Could care less either way. Grab him, avoid him or dress him up if you like.

    Hey guys.

Any need to use my wild card now? Im trailing by about 60 points in the leagues i care about.

Fox, I don’t see any pressing needs to rush you into your WC. I’m not a fan of Benteke, personally. Maybe take a punt on Giroud? He’ll be looking for a strong game to get in the Boss’ good graces

      • Starfox says:

Im just afraid of lagging even further behind the pack im chasing. I will get Kun back in for sure when the time comes but ill keep my ft for when that time comes. Im 50/50 on using WC but if i do this is a possible WC option

        • LaByRiNtH says:

This is decent wc team from u.
          Go with u gut.

I wouldn’t go treble Southampton,as good as they are spread the risk.

You should definitely leave money for Aguero when he comes back. Also, I’m not a big fan of Silva. Once the forwards are fit and firing he won’t be deployed as a false 9 anymore. Might as well offload him for someone like Fabregas or Di Maria. Get the money off your defense-it looks too damn expensive! I suggest Pantilimon, Heaton rotation, lose Aldeweireld and Debuchy for the Villa or Sunderland def (or even Hull since their fixtures brighten up) as Bertrand and Terry with Wisdom (under Pulis!) is good enough in my books.

Do u have made a FT?
Austin to kane will be a decent move while replacing chambers with alderwild is also good.
The team is still ok and mybe wc at the last january as u can see who will perform while u can see the performance of kun, adm and walcott plus new player

      • Starfox says:

Yeah I have 1 FT, austin > kane would be good, so would Rooney (who is playing deep now) > Giroud, or Sterling > Siggy, or somehow get in Costa.. Terry, Debunch too all these options will probably get nice points this weekend, I just see points lost by not acting now.. to many of my players are unreliable.. hmm

Working on my wildcard team. Haven’t activated it yet, just taking a look at my options. What are your thoughts? Am I too weak at the back? All help greatly appreciated!

    KI says:

    Lawdoog,

I think you need one better defender-Bertrand over Alderweireid? And you’re gambling a bit on Pants. I think the money needs to come from your gold-edged midfield. Sanchez or Fab, for me-Chadli, in the short run..
    Still, plenty of time.

      Andy says:

Agree with Pants, Schwarzer moving to Leicester? would also put an end to Hamers chances as well you’d feel, I think you could switch Hamer to krul for rotating keepers by downgrading O’shea as I wouldn’t trust a Sunderland double at the back, that would leave you only 4.1 for a defender though sad

How is everyone’s plan coming along for GW21?

      TheDreamers says:

Getting there Mitro – how about you?

      • Mitro says:

WC is activated!!! Few more tweaks and then im done!!

Currently working with this at the moment. What do you think?

        • TheDreamers says:

Hi Mitro – planning on 3:5:2 long term?

I think Cresswell is a bit expensive given his returns. I’d prob not bother with Pants if going DDG.

otherwise looks good. Sterling could be an interesting buy.

          whats your Austin plan?

        • Mitro says:

Dreamers – yep I’m going to give it a go and see how I get on, I would be losing Costa to kun when he returns from injury but I believe having cesc and hazard will make up for that… I hope!!

Creswell and De Gea will be out of my team come sat morning. I was hoping to make some extra funds on them this week which hasn’t really worked out to be honest.

Thinking of going with ADM instead of sterling and I’m going to leave Austin on the bench this week. If everything goes well in the pressers on Friday barring kun. I think this could be my team.

        • Lawdogg says:

I agree with Dreamers re: Cresswell. I don’t think he produces enough points to justify his price. Other than that, think you are squared away. Cheers!
