Welcome to the opening instalment of Grab, Avoid or Bore off for the 2016-17 season. Lovely to be back with you the wonderful FPL community and guess what I have in store for all of you? The same 3 fellas who always do it…well, that was an exciting announcement. Much like Wenger, I don’t like to spend money for any new strikers, so no need to break up the 3 Amigos. Unlike Wenger’s crew, this trio of attacking talent always delivers the goods, sort of. Showing that they haven’t lost a step and have all the important nuggets of information you all desire, they reveal to us things like Cahill is Cahill (shocker), that Kop is actually Mr. Excitement, that I might have a soft spot for Costa, that Cookie is absolutely ready when it comes to cheap strikers and that Init has figured out the Italian secret for preserving ageing defenders. Yes!! Yes!! With that kind of info, you certainly can’t afford to not read up and get yourself ready for the upcoming season. So without further ado, bring on Bore off!   1. RMT still not sure I should go with Ibra so could change Stones is in only in there if he goes to City , I will also change Evans if Kone goes to Eve & I might start with one of the Sou boys in place of Carr take it apart 😉

      • I was about to say that haha smile I love how you managed to get a premium GK and defenders in there but still have a good team. I’m trying to do that but it all depends on my plans after the first 3 games. I’d possibly bring in Maloney for Fletcher especially if he’s on Set pieces.

        • Yes Matt I will look at that steady eddy Flet will get 1-2 points per game wk I also wanted Spurs cover as I thk they will get a few goals in the first few wks

          Ibra not a fan , wanted KDB he will score big this season & I’m unsure off Maz but we might get a glimpse of him before kick off see your team coming along nicely I like the J rod pick 😉

        • Yeah Fletcher will get you 2 points every week with a yc once in a while but if Maloney is taking setpieces he could do the same as Fletcher plus the odd assist or even goal.

          Yeah not 100% on Ibra but I’m playing it safe and having him for the first 3 GWs and then selling him to possibly Lukaku which gives me money and also planning on doing the same with Mahrez, have him for first 3 games and then sell him to either Payet which is straight swap or to Firmino/Couthino/Mane whichever is better which will give me money.

          Haha cheers mate want to see where J.Rod is playing as I’m looking at Redmond to raise a bit of money. smile

        • Hey Matt Maloney only made 8 app least season what make you thk he will start with him now ???

          Maloney only had eight starts but 29 appearances altogether (club and country) but he picked up an injury in December which ruled him out of five games and the form of Diame meant he took his time getting back in.

          The Hull manager situation concerns me now but he has two goals this preseason and trust me as a Scot who has watched each of them numerous times, Maloney is the far bigger attacking threat.

        • Silvers- exactly what GP says plus they only have 13 fit players so there’s a decent bet he’ll play.

    But it appears to be invalid? Or the league’s not been renewed yet?

    • banjomaker if you where in the League last season it should auto you back in otherwise codes for 247 from Init & codes for regulars from Elle which I’m sure their reading this 😉

      • Cheers Kop! Wow, this league looks like it’ll be a little harder to stay near the top of! How many people do you usually have in there? Looks like hundreds, if not thousands!

        • No worries mate. I’m not sure how many were in the league last season. Init or Mito might be able to answer that.

        • Hi banjo / Kop, can’t remember the exact number but it was approx 4,200 last time I checked.

  5. WTF is wrong with Fabregas? Going in on someone like Klavan like that in a friendly. Something changed in dude since he left Arsenal, he’s turning more and more into a dirty player.

    • Yeah it was a bad tackle Raz but he came by the dressing room after the game to make sure Klavan was okay and to apologise so it was obviously just a rush of blood to the head.

  6. Wijnaldum has been added to Liverpool’s squad for £8.0m – good value? What do you think?

    (Other notable additions: Klavan added to Liverpool £5.0m, Holding to Arsenal £4.5m, Allen Liverpool to Stoke £5.0m)

    • Wijnaldum could in time become good value but I want to see how he fits into Klopp’s plans.
