Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2019-20

With the resumption of the Premier League, and of course FPL, things are finally back to normal, right? Well, not quite! That said, what is normal these days?

Whilst we have all been diligently following government legislation for what feels like an eternity, football of any description feels like a welcome distraction for some, and others an unnecessary risk. Wherever you sit on that debate we respect your opinion. Whether you’re for or against football without fans matters little, that’s how it’s going to be, so let’s just suck it up and get back to why we’re here; FPL.

Maybe you used a Chip for the DGW that never was, blew your Wildcard preparing for fixtures that didn’t happen, or used your weekly FT’s during the lockdown perfecting your team only for everyone to be given unlimited Free Transfers. Dems the breaks kids.

With unlimited Free Transfers, Chips still to play and a whole host of changes to football that will likely have ramifications for our FPL season finale, we thought what better time to turn to our Amigo’s and see how they plan to see out their season in style before riding off into the sunset… ready to come back again a few weeks later.

I’m not saying this is anything major and I’m sure they will be fit for Everton. Robertson and Salah missed the friendly today with knocks

    A) Mahrez, Abraham and Lundstram
    B) Sterling, Nketiah and O’Connell

Abraham only has the one game but Villa is a pretty good fixture.

Go on then, rip it, BB squad.

Hi folks. Great to see everybody back again. Hope you are all keeping well and staying safe.

Like many, I’m torn between the FH route or the BB followed by WC option. Leaning towards the latter at the moment. Here’s my attempt at a BB team which has its pros (retains Salah  ) and cons (double Villa at the back 😯 ). What do people think?

And here’s my current squad with no transfers yet, for reference. I’ll be sacrificing Ings and Traore for good, but will be able to buy back most of the others, with Jimenez instead of Ings, on my WC (I hope!)

7.7 on TAA, impressive. Not sure I’m torn.. Most likely I’m not getting something about the FH route advantages vs BB+WC so for me it’s not a choice. Making a team is proving quite difficult though, can’t have them all smile

      Hello mate!
Here are my thoughts. First of all, I am in the same boat (that dilemma is killing me hah) and I will most definitely have a similar post to yours in a few days time.
I really like your BB team but:
      1) you gotta check if Salah is okay cause I heard something about a knock that he picked up. He will probably be good to go for the derby but just something to keep an eye on.
      2) I personally don’t like the double up on Villa at the back, so I’d suggest – Fleck to Luiz/Nakamba and Targett to Baldock/O’Connell/Egan/Basham (if you pick anyone beside Baldock then you’ll even have enough money for Saiss to Boly).
Even if you choose to play your FH, your team looks pretty solid.
      Good luck :good:

Thanks mate. I will keep an eye on Salah. If I can offload him then I’m cash rich for upgrades elsewhere!

Not sure I like the SHU triple up at the back – too many eggs in one basket there – and I quite fancy Fleck to get a return, but I will mull on it.

Probably one to be more wary of with the amount of games coming up.
