Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2019-20
Guess who’s back, back again….
With the fpl season getting closer and closer to starting, it is of course time for Bore Off to also kickoff. I have gathered the three originals, as is tradition for each first edition of the new season. As always a new season brings new hope. Hopefully this article helps a little, but not too much.
Looking back through the first Bore Off from last season, I noticed that the Amigos had many things right. All 3 had Salah as the first person in their team sheet, they were all for the LFC double up in midfield with Mane, which would have worked out well for any manager who did. Cookie and Kop were talking about a back four and in Cookie’s case he was talking up a 5 back. Cookie was ahead of his time! Init had his eye on Milivojevic and Cookie said this “Mili is obviously great for a penalty every time Zaha falls over”. Kop talked about a possible golden boot for Auba and was hopeful that Allison would sign for LFC.
Hopefully they can replicate some of their good calls for this upcoming season, let’s see what they have to say.

Life is busy, little time, but can’t imagine not entering a team, so I spent 20 mins throwing this one together.
I see you’re all going defensively, but i’m Going to run the usual format, and hope the defence scores of the last year, were a one off.

Interesting side. First thing I look at is if everyone under normal circumstances should ‘usually’ play and I think all of yours do.
I think I’d add one more Liverpool player – a full back but it’s up to you.

Honestly, I see absolutely nothing wrong with that starting eleven. Well done.
One worry is the lack of an assured defensive replacement just in case your first choice lot don’t play for whatever reason but that might be OK for a while.

Lundstram – he’s being playing (and assisting) in pre-season so far.
Jota is a very good player and although reclassified this season, is still a million quid cheaper.

He comes in with 22 goals and 11 assists. Salah had fewer contributions when he came in and started at a 9m price. So I can see the reasoning behind the price.
Got high hopes for him but it’s a wait and watch from me as well

Woodman has just been sent out on loan to Swansea so take Button of Brighton, that way if you have a problem with Ryan you will automatically get his back-up.
Although Meyer looked a bit better towards the end of last season I think I prefer the attacking opportunities of Leicester and would upgrade him to Maddison using your banked money and by chopping one of your defenders to a 4.0 – probably Janmaat. That would set you up nicely for a 4-4-2.
