Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2019-20
Guess who’s back, back again….
With the fpl season getting closer and closer to starting, it is of course time for Bore Off to also kickoff. I have gathered the three originals, as is tradition for each first edition of the new season. As always a new season brings new hope. Hopefully this article helps a little, but not too much.
Looking back through the first Bore Off from last season, I noticed that the Amigos had many things right. All 3 had Salah as the first person in their team sheet, they were all for the LFC double up in midfield with Mane, which would have worked out well for any manager who did. Cookie and Kop were talking about a back four and in Cookie’s case he was talking up a 5 back. Cookie was ahead of his time! Init had his eye on Milivojevic and Cookie said this “Mili is obviously great for a penalty every time Zaha falls over”. Kop talked about a possible golden boot for Auba and was hopeful that Allison would sign for LFC.
Hopefully they can replicate some of their good calls for this upcoming season, let’s see what they have to say.

Did Aston Villa sign Heaton yesterday? I read online it was complete but I haven’t seen anything I believe just yet.
Also with Harry Maguire now gone from Leicester should we avoid the likes of Chilwell and Pereira until we see who replaces Maguire?
Yeah it’s all done. Even shows on FPL. I was avoiding them anyway but replacement should be cheaper
So avoid Burnley and Leicester defences now and see what happens? I was going with Taylor/Lowton and Periera but now I’m not sure.
Pope, Heaton, Ryan…can’t decide. Which one would you go for?
Otherwise my team is done…unless someone is injured or sold. Wish I had a better bench, but will hold out till WC.

How has he been doing in recent games? We don’t get them here in US. Looks like he was out all last year, but was a pretty good goalie the previous one.

Like it quite a bit. I’m currently on Pope & Perez in place of Ryan & Tielmans but to each their own. Don’t know anything about the Arsenal lad on your bench.

One question: I don’t see much love for Rashford? He’s quite the main man for United and I gotz the feeling he’ll finally be United’s topscorer…and 8,5 ain’t that bad? Or is it me?

Hiya Rosco! Yeah perhaps..but pre season he has been scoring a few. And for him knowing he is the main man upfront he has to deliver. But you’re right..my united heart clouds my judgement a bit so I’ll remove him from my team ASAP and not give it a second thought!
I think at his price I’d rather go Wilson or Jimi or move up to Vardy or Laca
I’m really interested in James and Martial but again I’ll wait and see on Utd assets for s few games first
True that…James is not a guaranteed started and Marital either. I think the formation could change a bit in front at the start so perhaps best avoid United…hehe well that’s me probs removing Martial as well..I know I know…I had both Rashy and Martial in the team…and I promised my self to play with my brain this year…look where that takes me! Ha!
Back to the draft…luckily we still have a few months before PL starts…ooooh wait?!?!?! 😛
Haha yeah I made a similar deal with myself, no risks to start this year! I started with Cairney in GW1 last year and knee jerked him to Neves in GW2 and ended up WC in GW3!!
Ah old famous Cairney had him too in GW1 with Jota…coz “last year’s stats don’t lie huh”??
2 wasted transfers in 2GW, but this year is the year to be wise!! Famous last words….
Some warning on Ryan Fraser. He’s playing in the friendly that looks like the reserves. Also rumours of a swap deal with Wilson at Liverpool. Fraser has less than 12 months on contract

They play tomorrow as well and transfers will play out this week. They have quite a lot of injuries though so not sure on both
