Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2019-20
Guess who’s back, back again….
With the fpl season getting closer and closer to starting, it is of course time for Bore Off to also kickoff. I have gathered the three originals, as is tradition for each first edition of the new season. As always a new season brings new hope. Hopefully this article helps a little, but not too much.
Looking back through the first Bore Off from last season, I noticed that the Amigos had many things right. All 3 had Salah as the first person in their team sheet, they were all for the LFC double up in midfield with Mane, which would have worked out well for any manager who did. Cookie and Kop were talking about a back four and in Cookie’s case he was talking up a 5 back. Cookie was ahead of his time! Init had his eye on Milivojevic and Cookie said this “Mili is obviously great for a penalty every time Zaha falls over”. Kop talked about a possible golden boot for Auba and was hopeful that Allison would sign for LFC.
Hopefully they can replicate some of their good calls for this upcoming season, let’s see what they have to say.

Hello guys !! Hope all are good.
Totally out of touch from FPL for a while. Looks like everyone is back and already have made numerous draft. Where to start from?
Pick two Liverpool defenders two premiums for your (C) and work out from there…
Great….they are like midfielders with excessive price. But hope they produce the same result like last season.
Which two do you have?
Robbo and Trent at the min but Robbo could become VVD yet!
I have not started and not able to decide whether to save 0.5m (will depend on rest of my team). VVD looks a safer choice down the line – I am in dilemma.
(1) Start with Robo and TAA and down the line (may be after 1st WC), switch to VVD and either of the 2 FBs. As Pool’s initial fix.s are easy, they will attack more I assume.
OR
(2) Start with VVD and a coin toss between the 2 FBs (Robo seems up to speed – not sure of the status of TAA) – with Gomez back, TAA can have some rotations I assume. Is there a backup LB?
Yeah I much prefer Robbo to VVD but think I might need the 0.5. I had VVD for a period last season because I could not afford Robbo. Robbo is much more fun to watch
Views on Zouma, if he goes to Everton he is surely going to play every game, but what if he stops at Chelsea?
I think he’ll probably stay at Chelsea, if he impresses maybe he stays in the team but Rudiger will be hard to keep out
He’s looking like he’s staying. There’s still a week to go but he’s travelled to Germany with the squad. Rudiger is not that far off being fit now though
Zouma needs to have a chat with Lamps and say if he’s not going to play he’s off, he’s too good to be on the bench, he’s proved that.

Well he might start the season and could easily keep his place. End of the day he’s a Chelsea player not Everton

Looks good, but as Maguire has gone to Man Utd I wouldn’t have two Man Utd DEF’s.
Four United players will prove a headache when you need to transfer one out. I really think Salah is worth the extra over Mane. The rest looks solid enough
I kept swapping between Salah and Mane and I could never get the one that was on form, so best to stick with Salah imo.

I’d choose either AWB or Maguire and change the other one to Digne.
Salah would appear to vmbe more secure than Mane to start next week but I expect Mane will play some part.
Overall decent.
Digne is 0.5 more than Maguire or awb. If I change mane to salah and remove awb I need to pick another 4.5 defender but am struggling, any suggestions for 4.5 defenders?
Dunk of Brighton may end up at Leicester. Keep an eye out for that.
Failing that Diop, Taylor, Yoshida, Cathcart maybe.
