Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2020-21

International break time always means a Bore Off.

I have gathered three of my esteemed colleagues and have asked them to answer some questions for us as best they can. Please welcome Loud Atlas who is making his debut on Bore Off. Joining him in this edition is old fart favourite Kop and the Scottish fantasy legend Gallant Pioneer.

Without further ado, let us see what they had to say.

Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!. This article was written by Mito21.

With Salah out I’m thinking a merry-go-round plan may work.
    GW9 Salah to Fernandes
    GW10 Son to KDB
    GW11 Bank
GW12 Fernandes to Salah plus 1FT to get the cash.

With these evolving daily news for more injuries and covid cases wonder if it’s worth making any plans at all. Anyhow, my plan is similar to the one from Stone Frog.
    2 FT and 1.0 ITB
GW 9-TAA and Salah out, Creswell and Bruno in.
GW 10- Son out, KDB in.
GW 11- Jimi out, Werner in.

Hiya fellow fplers! I trust everyone is staying safe and praying for their players not to catch COVID during international break.. . Haven’t jumped the wc gun yet but thinking of swapping the team over. Would love some feedback. Was also thinking that I keep Kane in my wc team as another option and work around that.. would love to get salad back when he’s better also.. could also just bench salad but I don’t really have the best bench atm

    Who’s following the masters?

This has the potential to be one of the best majors in recent history!

If you have to pick up a 4.5mish def., whom will you pick? I shortlisted 3: Taylor (as now Mee is back), KWP/Vest (Sou def is good, but fixture is not that good) and Coufal (I have no clue how WHU def will do).

..and also may be Justin in that lot.

      Kralin says:

I put out an ad myself the other day: wanted, 4.5m defender.

A few applications have come through and I may interview:

Walker-Peters, Targett, maybe Balbuena. I need the applicants to answer truthfully about their playing time.

If you can afford a bit more then Justin may be worth the extra pence.

      • GoalMachine says:

@Kralin, my logic is as below:
        (1) KWP and Vesteragaad – KWP is more nailed on. But in easy matches KWP gets attacking bonus. In difficult matches, Vest gets defending bonus (also has a minor goal threat). KWP is more 1-2 or 7-8 earner. SOU def. has been quite good. Fixture is not good (which indicates to Vest over KWP). But then, def. is the area where we do not want to make much changes.
        (2) Coufal and Balbuena – More value than Cresswell and also 0.6m can be used elsewhere. Coufal looks more nailed on. But if WHU goes to back 4 (instead of 5), I am not sure who they will sacrifice from Ogbonna/Diop/Balbuena. So I won’t go Balbuena long term (short term is fine, not sure when Diop will return).
        (3) Targett – Another value option. My issue is that I have 3 AVL player (including Steer) – did not think AVL will put up such show.
        (4) Justin – Gametime somewhat dependent on Perreira’s return. But has 3 good fixtures, then bit of a hit and miss.
Recent def. stat-wise all these 3 teams (WHU, SOU and LEI) look similar. That made the decision very difficult. I am more inclined towards Coufal/KWP. to save some 0.2-0.3m as well..
        End result: Dilemma continues
        Is it overthinking? smile

    Sunday mornings price changes
    Riser
    Fernandes (10.6)

    Fallers
    Mahrez (8.2) Milivojevic (5.6) Westwood (5.3) Gibson (3.9)

      Kralin says:

A certain light always comes into my eyes when I see a 3.9 player.

      GoalMachine says:

Resisted myself from early transfer and hits…. wanted to sell TAA. He dropped. Thought of buying Bruno, he increased. Thought of buying Bamford, increased as well.
This season (especially this IB) is really test of a patience. Also, with random covid outbreak things can change anytime. 5 more days I have to keep patience, really getting tired. smile
