New Signings – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16. Juanmi
Well after getting my arm twisted just a bit, I joined in on the new signings fun. I present to you Juanmi. Is he really deserving of an article and with picture included all on his own? Probably not, but this is due more to my laziness than Juanmi’s talent. Besides I have to go colour in some trackers and what not. So here you go fantasy fans, we present the giant Juanmi.
[clear]Juanmi

Age: 22
Position: Striker-ish
Signed From: Malaga
Fee: Let’s call it 5.0 (ed. let’s call it what it is – 6.0?!)

[/three_fourth]Juan Miguel Jiménez López also known as Juanmi is a 22 year old who has just joined Southampton. He said his life long dream was to play for a big club when he signed with the Saints, hmmm, guess that is still a goal not yet accomplished. Juanmi scored 8 goals last season in La Liga with Malaga and got his first senior squad call up in March for Spain. There is a lot of things to like about this young Spanish international. He goes by one name, he is Spanish and he is small. We all know that the only good Spanish players are small, so he can’t be all that bad. It remains to be seen where he will be played by Koeman. Striker seems to be his preferred position, however he can play all along the front line if needed. Also will be interesting if the rigours of playing in the EPL will make it tough on him to adjust quickly and show some of his best qualities. Expect to see a pacy player with good movement off the ball. Surprisingly good in the air, but one could argue that his headed goals are due more to his movement than the ability to outmuscle or out jump any Shawcrosses.
Fantasy outlook: A wait and see option. At some point this season he will be given a chance to prove himself. You know Shane Long will be out with some sort of injury, probably his wrist tape being too tight or something will put him out several weeks. J-Rod is coming back from a devastating injury and Pelle has been mentioned among those who suffered from one of the worst droughts ever recorded in history. At only 6.0 if he is given a chance maybe he can be a J-Rod type from two seasons ago and prove to be good value.

Not an interesting option, not a poacher, someone they need. Indeed hope this doesn’t kill JRods chances. And what will happen with Pelle? Hope JRod will be their mainstriker. Completely forgot about Soton playing European football, this is actually a reason to stay away from their players.
I see Milner scored a goal.
Hey Raz keep having a look @ Milner might be one to have.
That’s what I”m doing, monkeyboy. 😉
Hey Raz if have Milner in there , you must only have Haz & 1 other MF @ 8.5m I would thk or have you gone for Sterling
Actually, at the moment it stands like this:
Haz-Depay-Sterling-Milner
Kun-Ag-JRod
These are just drafts though. Will try to get as much information before I do anything.
Like the look of that Raz I have Caz , Haz , Depay , Mahrez put a bit in Def then Kun , J Rod & Sakho although have been looking @ Ighalo already scored a few preseason & only 5m so I can get Milner
Raz who is AG?
Ageuro I imagine.
Kun is Aguero
that team he put on further up this thread
AG = Agbonlahor
Forgot his name. :p
AG from AV. GOSH,don’t you guys know anything? :p
Haha Raz he was my next guess. Just isn’t a very popular choice is all.
WICKET – Rogers b Broad 173 – Aus 362-2
Little did I know an ”Alpha” like yourself had a musical fetish.
Liverpool have beaten Brisbane Roar 2-1 in their 2nd pre-season friendly, with goals from Lallana & Milner.
Hey Kop any news on Milner’s performance did he play in the middle of the park
Not sure where he played Silver, but apparently he looked good.
Thoughts on draught 235235?
Speroni/Krul
Ivan/Morgan/Lescott/Baker/Alder
Hazard/Henderson/Chadli/Cabaye/Barry
Aguero/Deeney/Rooney
Thanks
You’re drifting away. I don’t think we can see eye to eye anymore.
haha Raz…
What have I gotten right then? Since it seems more is wrong than right
Just messing about mate. Really can’t do RMT’s. As you said, this is your 10094098509285908390843 draft and there are 1039481904833098390 drafts to come. Actually not touching my team unless there is a new exciting player. It’s a waiting game, to be honest. Think we’ll know a lot more in a few weeks, till then we can’t really do a thing.
One thing I do remember, is not to hold on to past players too much. New seasons usually have new hero’s.
Thanks Raz, also not my 1st rodeo 😉
I normally only make a team about a week before it starts and then criticizes it badly… but entered a few nice money leagues and thought I would get a good start… but think I might go crazy and should rather keep my old ways… SEASON MUST HURRY UP
That’s a pretty solid team not too sure about Lescott though. Don’t think West Brom are going to be that solid this season.
Also it’s probably just me but I really don’t like the 4.5 mil midfielder I just think it’s pointless, literally
Cheers Matt.
Just a mess around team till season becomes closer.
Lescott was a 5.0m idea, will def be changing him.
4.5m is really not much happening… Barry at least I know will start and get 2 points… nothing much else in that category… (rare he will be used anyway)
Ah right ye there’s still plenty time for more players to come to the floor.
Barry is a definite 2 points but I’m not sure he’ll play every game they did bring in Cleverly and Delfoeu so that is more competition in midfield. I know they aren’t the same position but the formation could be changed to fit them in.
Afternoon fellas. Just finished looking at the Liverpool game and I swear the Milner/ Hendo debacle is driving me mental.
Milner= 1 goal and 1 assist
Hendo = 3 assists
Now I’m even starting to think about squeezing a .5 out of somewhere and getting Lallana= 2 goals. Thoughts?
Milner if Hendo isn’t on pens
Ye that’s the way I’m thinking but everything seems to be going through Henderson in midfield and more often it ends with Lallana getting a shot away from what I can gather. It’s a difficult one to be honest.
I’m not sure Lallana will be a definite starter.
Ye that is a possibility there is a lot of competition now in midfield. Can,Henderson,Milner,Lallana,Couthino,Firmino and that’s without Lucas and Ibe and any other youngsters that Texeria is looking good so far preseason.
Thnking they will line up in the midfield with Can at holding and Hendo and Milner a bit in front with Coutinho and Firmino higher. But what do I know.
That sounds reasonable with Benteke as the man upfront.
I think it’ll be :
Migs
Clyne Skrtel Sakho Moreno
Can
Hendo Milner
Couthino Firmino
Benteke
@Matt, yeah that’s my thought also. Will be interesting to see who loses out if Lallana is playing well and if Sturridge is ever fit.
I’d say Firmino will be out if Lallana is playing well and Sturridge won’t be back till mid October and then it’ll be him having to fight his way back into the team. For the first time in ages there’s actually competition at Liverpool.
Did Henderson assist the Brisbane goal too? 😉
Ye he assisted Milners goal, could be a nice partnership developing.
