Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 17
Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 17 In the words of Sir Bob “It’s Christmas time, and there’s no need to be afraid”… Well, we can only assume Bob never played fantasy football as we can tell you that there certainly is! It’s time to plump up your squads as rotation bites at this time of year. The seasoned fantasy vets will be well aware of this but for anyone new then you may have been able to sail through September to now with a threadbare squad of 12 or so ‘playing players’ but the upcoming schedule will find you out if you aren’t prep...[Read More]
Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 16
Team Talk Fantasy Football GW16 Welcome to GW16 and let’s face it, if it comes anywhere near to matching the drama of GW15 then we’re in for a fun and unpredictable ride – it started of course with City losing at Stoke, then Villa came close to a win at Southampton, those who benched Mahrez were placed on suicide watch, Chelsea lost at home to Bournemouth and finally Newcastle beat Liverpool. United of course drew 0-0 and Lukaku scored again. Some things went as expected. Everton finished off GW15 on Monday and kick off GW16 as they visit Norwich on Saturday lunchtime. Just f...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Pottys Predictions Game-week 15
Fantasy Football Pottys Predictions Game-week 15 So now we find ourselves in December and how quick has this year has gone? For me this time of the year is a busy one as i’m busy hiding from relatives who give you poor Crimbo presents – for God’s sake who wants a steak tenderiser when you’re a vegetarian? I mean come on Aunty Edna sort it out. So last weekend we all played “Potty’s Pontoon” and only one of you tried to fiddle my casino and that was Pathetico Morbid who got sussed so my croupier Angela Ace threw him out. But getting back to the card tab...[Read More]
Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 15
Team Talk Fantasy Football GW15 The countdown to Christmas begins with the first weekend of Advent – trees will be erected, decorations hunted for in the cupboards, cards starting to be written and maybe even presents purchased. Exciting times – but as exciting as a 3-day game-week? Of course not!! Our week kicks off at Stoke as table topping City come to town. We then have a busy afternoon with six 3pm matches – Big Sam takes his Black Cats to Arsenal, United welcome West Ham, Southampton host Villa, the struggling Swans battle it out with the Foxes, Norwich travel to Watfor...[Read More]
Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 15
Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 15 After last week’s backing by the board, the team committee felt confident that they would be given time to straighten out this mess, in particular because the same members of the team committee also form the board. Having said that, we are proud to announce that we (the board) have given a pay rise to the team committee members as a sign of good faith. Moving on to the other business at hand, we managed another red arrow, no surprise there I guess. Chelsea players nowadays try harder than some of our committee members! We scored 60 points and afte...[Read More]
Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 14
Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 14 After three successive green arrows, and things starting to look rosy again, we have now somehow recorded another three successive reds! We plunged over 70,000 places this week. Let that sink in for a second. 70,000 places… This time last season 700 would have felt like a dagger. 7000 would have been a mortal blow and panic stations. It’s time to offer up the dreaded ‘vote of confidence’ – “The board would like to announce that it has every confidence in its managers ability to arrest the recent slump and turn things ...[Read More]
Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 14
Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 14 For a number of reasons I was forced to miss the last few weeks so before the waffle begins I’d like to thank both Init & Cookie for ensuring that Tips continued. You were in good hands as Cookie proved last week when he tipped Leicester’s Danny Simpson. Many laughed at our Cookie but he was to have the last laugh as Simpson pitched in with 10pts last week. So what’s happened since I’ve been gone? The United defence continues to impress, picking Liverpool players is once again a possibility, Jamie Vardy has equalled Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record and n...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Trends From The Top – GW16
Fantasy football Trends From The Top – GW16 Welcome to this week’s edition of Trends From the Top. Once again, the gameweek has not yet ended as Leicester and Chelsea have yet to play, but nonetheless it’s always interesting to take a peek at the current trends amongst this week’s leaders. It is interesting to note that sometimes, because of the weekly fluctuation of leaders, we will see variance in the top selected picks. This week however, while leaders changed, top selections remained quite constant. Let’s take a look.
