Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!
Grab, Avoid or Bore off! Welcome to another installment of Grab, Avoid or Bore off for the 2015-16 season. As always we will tackle some of the most important questions in FPL, like is your spouse worth having if Pelle was available? After we tackle some of those hard hitting questions we might get silly and answer questions about Ozil, Aguero and others and it how it relates to FPL, time permitting. As I gathered the 3 Amigos this week, I noticed an air of grumpiness in the lads. Well, Kop was grumpy, the other two were their usual self. Come to think of it, grumpy is Kop’s modus-operan...[Read More]
Time for a differential – Fantasy Football Game-week 13
Time for a differential – Fantasy Football Game-week 13 [three_fourth padding=”0 20px 0 0″] View image | gettyimages.com [/three_fourth]When we sat back and considered who the ultimate cheap differential has been over the years in fantasy football one man stood out head and shoulders above the crowd. Of course he wasn’t a differential for that long but certainly those who were on that early Michu bandwagon were laughing all the way to the fantasy bank. And it seemed only fitting this week to give a nod to the man who coined the phrase ‘finding the next Michu’...[Read More]
Trends From The Top Game-week 12
Trends From The Top Game-week 12 Welcome to this week’s edition of Trends From the Top. For this week’s publication, I join your from the lovely city of Sofia, Bulgaria where games air 7 hours later than my standard NYC match times! (Well it’s actually the same time although I am in a different time zone). It was certainly an interesting weekend as Chelsea took on its 7th loss of the season and chatter continues to focus on topics such as potential relegation, firings and signings. It is important to see how this has effected or impacted the league leaders if at all and to see what insights an...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 12
Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 12 Another week, another unexpected hat-trick! Last week we spoke of how some players are suddenly coming out from the shadows to shine. Well, this weeks one came out from the shadows of the deepest darkest cave. The deepest darkest cave on Mars. Presumably he gave Naismith a high 5 on his way out after the ginger ones treble against Chelsea. Lukaku got all the attention ahead of this week as Everton had the ‘fantasy gift that just keeps giving’ in the shape of Sunderland at home. And he did ok, but it wasn’t to be his day as this time it c...[Read More]
Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 11
Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 11 Another green arrow for the FF247 team, we managed a jump of about 80k spots. We scored 48 points, which was six points above the average and it placed us slightly inside the 1 million rank for the game-week. We now currently reside in 480K in the overall and while not by any means fantastic, there is some confidence now starting to surface within the team that we can finish at a decent rank by the end. In goal we had Boaz Myhill who delivered another clean sheet, his second on the bounce for us. That makes it six in ten for the Baggie, but much tougher...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 11
Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 11 There seems to be a slightly worrying trend developing here. Namely, players notching incredible scores out of the blue with previous performances suggesting nothing of the sort was on the cards. This week was the turn of Harry Kane to blunder a hat-trick having previously grabbed just 1 goal and 0 assists in 9 games. Aguero began all this back in GW8 with that 5 goal haul having previously boasted a run of 7 games with just 1 goal and 1 assist to show for his efforts. Wijnaldum picked the baton up in GW9 with 4 goals and funnily enough the exact same rec...[Read More]
