Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 2
Team Talk Fantasy Football GW2 Well that was an interesting week. The average score was 34 and we honestly wonder where all those people are. Regulars were rested and backups were started. Leicester and Palace looked like fantasy juggernauts, each placing two players in the GW1 Dream Team. The cadre of unusual scorers and new players will undoubtedly lead to panicked wildcards being played this week. We hope you’re able to keep your powder dry for now but understand if you’ve played it already – we’ve all been there! The highest score of the week was a chap that put up 109 points. How? By play...[Read More]
Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 2
Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 2 Interesting start to say the least. The FF247 team did not fail our members…well maybe just a little, well one in particular. If you would have told us that we were going to score 27 points, we probably would have asked on which day. Apparently FPL still has a sense of humour though and that was our grand total for the GW. Those 27 gave us a ranking of 2,155,382 which is good news and bad news at the same time. As always the bad news first, we have a long way to climb to beat last season’s rank. The good news, we shouldn’t see a red arr...[Read More]
Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 3
Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 3 As John McEnroe said time & time again, ‘you cannot be serious’! In GW1 the average score was 34pts which they said was an aberration. They said things would return to normality in GW2 and all would be right in the world again. Well they were wrong! While the average score increased to 44pts, predicting where the points are going to come from remains more of a lottery than ever. If fantasy football mirrored real life we would be living in a world where Donald Trump could be the next leader of the free world. Don’t believe me? Well if Arouna Kone can p...[Read More]
Captains Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 2
Captains Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 2 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16 Lewis Hamilton’s first lap demise from pole to fourth in Hungary; Channel 5’s shoestring ‘Football League highlights’ debut; a calamitous $26.2m box-office opening for ‘Fantastic Four’… No-one is immune from a bad start. Not you, certainly not I (please don’t ask), and not even Arsenal. A cursory look at last week’s Captain Poll reminds us how badly the mainstream choices let everyone down. Hazard, Walcott, Benteke, Aguero, Sterling, Costa, Memphis… the...[Read More]
Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 3
Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 3 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16 zzzzzzzzzzzz….. After having my sleep rudely interrupted by a chicken, c0ck-a-d00dle-doing about a looming FF247 deadline, I could have been forgiven for thinking we were still awaiting the kick-off to season 2015/16. So imagine my shock when I was summonsed to select the captaincy contenders for Gameweek 3! Anyhow, I’ve resisted the temptation to defer to the “snooze” function, and I stand before you under a false pretense that this is indeed GW3… Makes you wonder why we even bother...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Pottys Predictions Gameweek 2
Fantasy Football Pottys Predictions Gameweek 2 Yes it’s that time of the week again when Potty’s Bookies opens its doors to you the punter and last weekend 53 of you wonderful people entered the first competition of the season which was remarkable and thank you. So let’s have a look back at The New Boys fun and see what happened shall we? Many of you went with Mings who never showed up and Wolfswinkle was a popular pick also and he flopped badly, the most common captain selection was Bournemouth’s Ritchie but I felt he would struggle against a workmanlike Aston Villa an...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 2
Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 2 Well that was good wasn’t it! Nailed on keepers getting sent off. Sunderland defenders collecting negative points like they were going out of fashion. Players starting out of the blue. Players not starting out of the blue. Arsenal midfielders going missing. Arsenal goalkeepers going missing. Champions faltering. Champion contenders collapsing. Mahrez. Albrighton. Hennessey. We could go on and on, but we will probably just depress you further, if that’s at all possible! The good news is that the majority of managers had a stinker so you won̵...[Read More]
MLS GW25 Tips – Fantasy Major League Soccer
MLS GW25 Tips – Fantasy Major League Soccer In Round 24, two things were confirmed about the MLS. The first thing is that Giovinco is better without Altidore, and the second is that Villa is better without Lampard (at least in his current mode of being pouty and disinterested). Of those two facts, one is pretty much set in stone, and the other can be changed with time. Altidore has a galactic ability to transform himself into a black hole that sucks the talent from those around him, and there’s no cure for that in his current situation. But Lampard can still be great, especially in a lea...[Read More]
