Any word on Bardsley? He went off at half time last night…..and robbed me of a clean sheet. I only have him Kos and Ward in defence at the moment.

So Lukaku is out and Aguero potentially

thoughts on those 2 out and RVP and Dzeko in their place (news dependant on Ageuro)?

Probably the best choice, will cover up the hit points quite easily.

      Tekno-kun says:

I’d be a little catious of Dzeko myself with Jovetic back.

      • TheDreamers says:

hmmm – over looked that. its the only way to get RVP in really without disturbing too much. Hard to think he be dropped at the moment for Jovetic though given his form.

        • Tekno-kun says:

Given his form? He barely makes an effort, almost always shoots even when he should pass, and his shooting skills aren’t even that good – he had so many shots yesterday that was way off target. I thought his performance yesterday was dreadful.
I consider him to be a very selfish and destructive player as he steals and wastes chances instead of creating them. I know he’s gotten 3 goals and 2 assists in the last 3, but any striker would have gotten returns playing for City.

In the post-match interview Pellegrini also talked about the importance of getting Jovetic back after being asked about Aguero, so I at least got the impression that Jovetic will get some game time from now on. Considering that he’s just returned from injury though he’ll probably not start until he’s completely fit, but I won’t be surprised to see him preferred over Dzeko when fit.

        • TheDreamers says:

should have said, given his results over form

City’s fixtures are tempting me to bring in Zabs in place of Coleman (5.8M selling price).

      TheDreamers says:

normally -my advice would be – if you have him keep, but long term, I just don’t like Everton’s fixtures so CS potentially is not there as high – and he cant surely keep scoring.

City are still not sound defensively irrespective of defenders and Navas by playing so wide doesn’t allow Zab to bomb forward.

I would think separate the decisions 1) Are you willing to sell Coleman and then 2) What price point are you willing to spend on replacement and 3) Who

I was pondering this too, since I also have had Coleman for the whole season. He seemed to be getting forward more than Zabaleta did though, so it seems like a step down in my view. City aren’t exactly CS machines either…

Here’s my squad guys, would love some advice:

    Ruddy /// Marshall
    Mertesacker /// Bardsley /// Ward /// Chester* /// Coleman*
    Hazard /// Silva /// Mata /// Barkley /// Livermore
    Suarez /// Aguero* /// Rodriguez

I have 1FT and 0.2m in the bank. Coleman I will keep. Chester needs to go shortly and indeed his price has dropped, so maybe I should move tonight. Am more concerned about Aguero however. I’d rather not take hits this week (after last week’s -8!) so Aguero will be the one to go if I use a transfer.

People are talking about Rooney, but I have Mata already and I’d rather see how Moyes uses his various attacking options. Is Aguero –> Giroud a crazy move? I have no other Arsenal attacking coverage (beyond Mert.). Otherwise it’s hard to look beyond Sturridge due to Liverpool’s great run of fixtures (Arsenal excluded, but still I expect ‘pool to score).

    Can a n00bie get a RMT?

    Szczesny (Mannone)
    Baines, Shaw, Ward (Kolarov, Whittaker)
    Hazard, Mata, Gerrard, Eriksen (Gnabry)
    Suarez, Van Persie, Bony

I’m tempted to play RVP as captain this week as I’m playing catchup in my ML. I’m also not sure if Kolarov will get a start hence I’ve benched him. Already made 2 transfers this week. Any tips appreciated!

omfgsmb — you’ll do fine this week, strong team. Also bothered by Kolarov’s playing time: he wouldn’t be my first choice, especially for his price. Evans of Utd could be a good trade but not needed right now

      • omfgsmb says:

        Thanks for the feedback Pippin.

Kolarov looked like a no-brainer a few weeks ago, but unless Clichy picks up an injury this gw he’ll have to go I think. I had Cashley, Baines & Kolorov as my back 3 this GW & only scored 1 point until Ward got subbed in sad

Please HELP!! I played my Jan WC a few weeks back but think I may have to use my other WC this week! My red flags are McGregor / Ramsey / Livermore / Coleman / Chester, Aguero yellow flagged, and Bardsley oddly came off after 45 yesterday. Not a chance of fielding 11. 1 FT and 0.2 in bank. Any thoughts, help greatly appreciated!!

    Speroni / McGregor
    Coleman / Bardsley / Kosc / Chester / Ward
    Hazard / Silva / Lallana / Ramsey / Livermore
    Suarez / Aguero / JRod

    • 18.1
      Pippin says:

Ok, so Bardsley will play at the weekened apparently, so you can field a solid defence. Coleman will return week after next, also a boost. Play Speroni in goal the next few weeks and hope for save points.

Mids: Hazard, Silva, Lallana are all great, and Livermore can’t play due to the match being against Spurs. Ramsey is the obvious one to offload here: Eriksen, Barkley, Ben Arfa, Willian (for a punt!)…

Up top: Aguero is the issue, but you’ll need to sit tight and wait for him. If it’s a serious injury, get him out: Sturridge maybe?

      • Colriles says:

Cheers for the reply Pippin. Even offloading Ramsey, which I’m definitely doing, I’d only field 10 if Aguero doesn’t play. Plus this leaves me with double Palace defense vs Ars – not ideal. If I don’t WC, what’s the next best move to make for a -4? Aguero > Sturridge, McGregor > playing keeper?

        • Pippin says:

Definitely address Aguero. McG is coming back and I guess rotates well with Speroni? Don’t take a hit for a defender unless you can guarantee a CS.
