The DGW fixtures have been announced! Some of them…

Welcome to The DGW fixtures have been announced! Some of them….Having kept us in suspense for four days longer than we thought, the Premier League have at last started to release the dates of the rearranged fixtures. We now have a clear picture of DGW34, while the specific dates for the remaining fixtures still have to be officially revealed, although most indicators point to these matches being accommodated into GW37.

So, these are the rearranged matches that are now part of DGW34:

Brighton vs Spurs
Bournemouth vs Man Utd
Burnley vs Chelsea
Leicester vs Southampton

Therefore the following teams have two matches in DGW34:

Bournemouth (liverpool, MAN UTD)
Brighton (crystal palace, SPURS)
Burnley (LEICESTER, CHELSEA)
Chelsea (southampton, burnley)
Leicester (burnley, SOUTHAMPTON)
Man Utd (WBA, bournemouth)
Southampton (Chelsea, leicester)
Spurs (MAN CITY, brighton)

What else is there to know about DGW34?

The weekend after DGW34 finishes sees the semi-finals of the FA Cup which sees Chelsea vs Southampton and Spurs vs Man Utd. Given that all four clubs have a DGW34, it is possible that we see some rotation for their second match of DGW34, just days before their semi-final.

Liverpool have an attractive looking match in DGW34 as they host Bournemouth at Anfield. However, it may be worth noting that Liverpool go to Man City in the Champions League quarter-final 2nd leg just days before GW34.

What matches are left to be rescheduled?

Chelsea vs Huddersfield
Leicester vs Arsenal
Man City vs Brighton
Swansea vs Southampton
Spurs vs Newcastle
West Ham vs Man Utd

The Premier League has said that these matches will be rescheduled by Tuesday 3 April, i.e. just before GW33. The obvious week for all these matches to be rescheduled is GW37 as there is no European football scheduled for that week. It is possible, though unlikely, that some matches are rescheduled into GW35 or GW36. None of the matches will be added to DGW34. DGW37 really is the obvious week for all six matches and assuming this is confirmed, this will be the schedule for the DGW teams:

Arsenal (BURNLEY, leicester)
Brighton (MAN UTD, man city)
Chelsea (LIVERPOOL, HUDDERSFIELD)
Huddersfield (man city, chelsea)
Leicester (WEST HAM, ARSENAL)
Man City (HUDDERSFIELD, BRIGHTON)
Man Utd (brighton, west ham)
Newcastle (watford, spurs)
Southampton (everton, swansea)
Swansea (bournemouth, SOUTHAMPTON)
Spurs (west brom, NEWCASTLE)
West Ham (leicester, MAN UTD)

First glance observations (assuming the above is confirmed for DGW37)

DGW37 is bigger than DGW34 with 12 teams playing twice in DGW37 compared to 8 in DGW34. Does this offer a better opportunity for Bench Boost? On the face of it the answer is ‘possibly’, although by the time DGW37 arrives much may already be decided in terms of Man City winning the league, top four and relegation which could see teams rotate more than normal.

Chelsea, Leicester and Man City all enjoy two home games.

Huddersfield, Man Utd, Newcastle, Southampton all face two away matches.

Spurs face West Brom and Newcastle with Harry Kane likely back from injury. Remember how he finished last season? A possible Triple Captain candidate?

Either Spurs or Man United and very likely Chelsea (assume they beat Southampton) will be preparing for the FA Cup Final which falls a week after the end of the season. More threat of rotation….unless of course their top four spot is not secure!

Man City could be preparing for a Champions League final, Arsenal could be preapring for a Europa Cup final.

There are clearly lots of ‘ifs, whats and maybes’ – time will only tell. For those still to play their wildcard, maybe it pays to wait for as long as possible and act on the best possible information.

Whatever your position, thoughts and plans, please be sure to share your ideas on the chat below. This is the crucial part of the season – mini-leagues will be won and lost on how we play our remaining chips and tackle the DGWs. Every idea is worthwhile, everyone has their view – there is not necessarily a right and a wrong way.

Phew, feeling slightly planned out right now. Playing FH in 34 and WC 36, so basically building my team around GW35.

Mounie > Aubameyang leaves me with £2.1m. I need at least one hit in the next three so I’m thinking I may as well get it over with and do Maguire/Azpi to an Arsenal defender. I’ll probably want Silva in GW33 so funding means I can’t really just get rid of Kenny instead of a premium def. Anything else I should be considering?

My be useful for those wildcarding in 32 or 33. Looks at those with a DGW34, and their fixtures up to and including that GW.

Morning all, with 7gws left of this season, here is a short write up about our FF247 regulars league and the FF247 doubles league.
    FF247 regulars league :-
Its all fairly close amongst the top 3, it has been for a while now to be honest. Horse is leading the way with 1969pts and a lofty overall rank of 276, wow well in my 4 legged friend. In 2nd and 3rd come Jamie Mc and our very own boss man Init. Only 4pts separate these two with totals of 1924 and 1920 respectively, their overall rankings being 2095 for Jamie and 2593 for the boss. Can any of the following teams from 4th to 8th, Chicos Bail Bonds, Wolf Pack, Swirly FC, Cookies Monsters and Green Mountain boys, make a late run into the top 3 ? Only time will tell.
    FF247 doubles league :-
Top of the doubles are Mitro + Pancho, by a country mile i might add, with 1937pts and an overall rank of 1212, well in lads. In 2nd, a whopping 91pts behind, are Webstar + Madhatter with 1846pts, 3rd are Scouse, Jock + Yorkie, with 1830pts, can either of these 2 teams reach the top of the league ? I doubt it. The top of the leagues are below. Good luck to all involved.
    Cheers, Elle.

Afternoon all, it’s a bit quiet so thought I’d throw up a WC RMT and see what you lovely lot think!
Plan is to bring in Vardy and Lukaku for Firmino & Aubameyang in 34. I’ll then play B.B. with 14 DGW players.
    FH in 35
I’ll have 10DGW players plus Salah heading in to DGW37 and I’ll then use my 2FTs to bring in Kane/Arsenal/City coverage. I’ll use my TC in 37.
    How does this lot look?

Hi guys really struggling here. I have all my chips and still not certain at all best times to use them? Need sage advice as I could go onto win my mini league. Activate wd now? Save it?

      TheDreamers says:

      hey jumpers

to me , you dont have a really pressing reason to wc this gw. I’d probably play Duffy and Pritchard though over Daniels and Walcott

      • jumpers4goalposts says:

Thanks dreamers yer I didn’t finish my team line up for now just took a pic. I don’t think my teams in too bad nic but know it will need altering.

Maybe sounds bad me moaning having all my chips but I so want to win my mini league and I’m really worried I’m not going to make most of the advantage. So many different ways of doing the chips but I can’t work out what’s best. Wc B.B. fh tc.

        • TheDreamers says:

          u could wc 33, TC34, , fh 35 and BB 37?

        • jumpers4goalposts says:

Regarding tc I feel it’s got to be on Kane salah Aguero as they are the most explosive leaning towards salah mainly as city nearly wrapped up the league. You even got salah v palace as or stoke Bournemouth

      • jumpers4goalposts says:

That’s not a bad shout dreamers just looking at that wudnt it be best to bb 34? And do you feel tc on a double game week better then bb to make use of them points ? Again appreciate all advice just good to hear other points of view. Never won mini league in 8 yrs always miss out bloody annoying haha

        • TheDreamers says:

atm I’m BB in 37. Not saying it will stay that way though (on wc). I think you can make an argument for either (34 or 37).

Kane may need goals too – not sure where he is on the top goalscorer chart but if he is close to having a shot , I would be surprised to see him go nuts on the scoring front. Aguero less explosive for me than Kane or Salah

        • inittowinit says:

If I still had TC I’d be earmarking Kane for it in 37 with them having WBA (probably relegated by then) and Newcastle (probably safe and on the beach by then). Spurs will still be looking to secure top 4. That’d push your BB naturally to 34.

I do still fancy BB in 37 rather than 34 though.

        • Mitro says:

In my head Kane will be my TC in 37 and I will claim glory in my main ML’s again smile

        • inittowinit says:

Mitro, you sound like William Wallace smile

        • Mitro says:

Is that a good or bad thing?

        • inittowinit says:

Good. I just imagined you as him in rags and a sword raised above your head as you were saying it, for some odd reason smile

      • jumpers4goalposts says:

Salah West Brom standing out too

    Matt says:

Evening everyone. Just want to run some plans I have for how I play my chips past you all as it kind of dictates how I set up my WC. I’ve already hit the button (which may have been a mistake) so let me know what you think.

    Plan 1.
Set up for both 34 and 37.
    Have 8/9 DGWERS for 34
TC Salah in 35 vs WBA
    BB in 37
    FH in 38

    Plan 2.
Set up for 34 and 37
    TC Lukaku in 34
    FH in 35
    BB in 37

    Plan 3.
    Invest predominantly in 34.
    BB 34
    FH 35
    TC Kane in 37

What do you guys think? I have some drafts and some key players I want but need to nail down the chips aspect first I think.

      Mitro says:

      Hi Matt

      I trust you are well?

      What does you gut say?

I’m currently on a WC and I will be doing BB in 34 and TC in 37, some might say that it would be better to do TC in 34 but if I’m being honest no one really appeals to me, salah in 35 does look good for TC but I’m going to hold out and stick on a double GW’er (look at Kane last season)

All good plans look good! Chose one and stick with it mate!

      • Matt says:

Hey Mitro. It’s been a while mate. I’m not bad now sick of uni essays. How’s everything with you?

My gut says I screwed up and I should have waited :hippo:

I kind of agree with you about the TC in 34. The only one that appeals is Lukaku but then again United don’t appeal too much. Right now I’m torn between Plan 1 and 3.

        • Mitro says:

Uni; I miss those days! I’m good mate, had a hectic couple of weeks starting a new job! Saying that I might be going back to work on another section, will find out on Wednesday when I head down to London!!

Out of those two I would agree and with init and go with plan 3.

        • Matt says:

Another hectic period then! I’d say you’re hoping to stay where you are now? You’re in business aren’t you?
What do you think of that draft below?

    • 36.2
      inittowinit says:

Plan 3 for me out those Matt. You can easily land on 10 + Salah for 37 by investing in 34.

      • Matt says:

That’s what I was leaning towards before I just did this draft of the players I want mixed with players for 37 and it leaves me with 9 DGWers for 34 and 13 for 37 which means BB in 37 seems better right?

I’m going to do a draft now with all DGWers but Salah for 34 and see what that’s like.

      • Mitro says:

I love the hazard pick! I’ve been thinking about him for the past couple of days, just really struggling to fit him in at the minute. Yours is quite similar to my current WC

        • Matt says:

I can manage to get him in if I do plan 1 but not plan 3. This is the all out BB 34 below which gives me 14 DGWers for 34 and 13 for 37.

I like a lot of those picks the only one I’d be wary of is Silva. He was let go home for personal reasons again this week so I’d be a little worried if he starts missing games again. Can you squeeze Sterling in there ?
