The one with Russ… Part 2
Hello everyone and welcome to UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football 2019/20 GW4. Our mirror image is back again so soon, as promised. If you wildcarded on the back of Russ Part 1 then well done as it probably paid dividends and here you are for part 2 of that, probably already set up and ready to go. If you didn’t then either way it’s GW4 this midweek and you will have at least 2 FT’s, maybe 3.

The main purposes of this article are threefold; to remind you to do your team, to provide a separate CL space to ask for help and advice from the community and to hopefully reciprocate in that aim and lastly just somewhere to chat about the games as they happen; a CL Live Match Chat if you like.

Let’s go take a look at the fixtures and how the Regulars League is shaping up…

Housekeeping GW3
The main points to consider this week are as follows;

    • Transfers
You get two free transfers each week and this one is no different. You can choose to carry one over should you wish, but you will never get more than three in any GW, which means that you should have somewhere between 2 & 3 transfers for this week.
    • Deadlines / Manual Subs / Captain Switches
There are two, essentially. The first and main one is at kick off on Tuesday which is 5.55pm UK time. You will get to see the line-ups of 4 teams prior to it (Barcelona, Slavia, Zenit & Leipzig).

The second is on Wednesday at the same time. This is the one before which you can change your team around, bring in your subs manually and also change your captain to a Wednesday player, if you so wish.

When setting your team up just make sure that all of your ‘Tuesday’ players are on the pitch to begin with, you can then bring your ‘Wednesday’ guys in prior to 5.55pm on that day. Likewise with your captain.

The Game Itself and the FF247 League Codes

You can access the game here – Fantasy Champions League

We have two leagues running;
Our official FF247 league code is 32NQYUI4KW
This one is the usual open air league that all and sundry are welcome to join; there are about 800 people in it. We have no idea who most of them are!

Our other one, the ‘Regulars League’ is now only open to new entrants via email
Please email us on contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk if you want the code.

We did ask that people respected the purpose and integrity of this one; that is to say that you should only enter it if you consider yourself to be a Regular Community member on here. But this was unfortunately not adhered to. The phrase ‘this is why we can’t have nice things’ springs to mind. As a result we have booted about 50 people out of it who we do not recognise. If you find yourself suspended and feel you shouldn’t be then please just say so in the comments below and we shall happily reinstate you.

First match a 100 percent Ajax goal was cancelled and now this.

As Dutch football fan we don’t have much to look forward to. Now they destroy it like this.

It was harsh sending two defs off.

        • Raziel says:

Ref shows multiple signs of being pro Chelsea. Veltman had to cut off his arms I guess. Maybe paralympics football?

        • Loud Atlas says:

Both 2nd yellows both in super-quick succession – one for a bad tackle, the other for a handball resulting in the penalty Jorginho scored. Good refereeing, I think!

        • The ref was Italian, maybe Chelsea fan :wink2:

        • Raziel says:

I don’t agree Cloud Atlas. Blind was fouled right before his foul. Because he was fouled he was late and thus his second yellow which was harsh. If the ref looked at var those two red cards and penalty would’ve never been given. Then the ball shooting at the arms of veltman… Interpretation. Can you cut off someones arms? He had them against his body. But okay if you give, you already have two punishments, also a red? Triple punishment. Really not necessary. But in the end, where it all started. Blind should have gotten a free kick. So yeah they were fcked. Like last game, var said Ajax goal was offside but the offside picture was taken too late. Meaning the ball was half a second off of the foot. At the point the ball was shot the Promes wasn’t offside.

For FPL – if you have to pick 1 Pool def. – whom will you pick between Robo and TAA?

Cracking game between Chelsea and Ajax: 4-4. CL games are awesome (as a neutral!).

Ref destroyed the game but gave the FA what they wanted.

        • Raziel says:

When it was 4-2. Giving two red cards and a penalty within the minute. First one I could understand but the second red was him taking complete control of the game. Like dude could cut off his arms. Ajax with 9 killed the game.

I didn’t actually see that whole incident so couldn’t comment. Pretty much the only thing I missed tonight but I did. I thought you meant something in respect of how we are using VAR right now. Which is badly!

        • Raziel says:

They took away a 100% victory from Ajax. In the last game Ajax also scored a 100% goal. Not saying they were anything near good or the form they had last year. But being fcked by the Uefa twice is ridiculous.

        • inittowinit says:

You should have lost too btw, as that Azpi 5th was fine, only for the rules being an ass again.

        • Raziel says:

The referee actually refused to use the var in this case, which should have helped Ajax. Anyways, it is what it is. I don’t see Ajax reaching the next round. They had to do it tonight.

        • Raziel says:

Stopped watching after 4-4. Haha. I had enough. So could be true.

Looking at the balance though. Two red cards, two penalties for Chelsea, several times the ref looked away to use var. The two red cards and penalty at the same time was the real ending of the game. Sort of ruined my night. Haha. But it is what it is.
