FPL Team Gameweek 13

FPL Team Gameweek 13 Welcome to FPL Team Gameweek 13 A case (again) for the defence! You know when your goalkeeper follows up a penalty save the previous week with an assist this, that you are on a bit of a run eh? Ben Foster (5) has been an unexpected little gem of late and he doesn’t even need clean sheets! Ahead of him, well the golden triumvirate of – in ascending numerical order to build both suspense and grandeur – Joao Cancelo (12), Antonio Rudiger (14) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (15) continue to lead the way, showing up those big fancy expensive attackers (Salah, apart obviously) how it is done. Our only slight regret is that we don’t have four or five of them back there! Don’t be greedy Don’t be greedy Don’t be greedy… The aforementi...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 13

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 13 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 13 We have struggled somewhat in recent weeks to even justify doing a Captain article, such has been the dominance of Salah. We muddled through last week though and sort of heart-heartedly brought you a couple of alternatives. Well, guess who won… And with Southampton at home this week we decided (sort of) that it was all a moot point again. Except that Matt had already put his name down for Salah and cracked on and wrote all about him. By which stage he suddenly began to realise that he would probably be unopposed and so decided to attempt to turn on himself and ended up writing the whole lot! Here follows his attempt to get you to Captain Salah, and also his attempt to convince you that th...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW13, GW14 and GW15 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW13, GW14 and GW15. It’s going to be a busy week with 3 game weeks in just 10 days. Therefore we’ve listed the following 3 game weeks in this article. As ever all we ask is that you either make all 3 game week predictions in one post or if you want to do them individually, please just add a comment to your GW13 predictions post. So, how did GW12 pan out? A high scoring weekend in the EPL that saw two 3-3 draws at St James’ and Turf Moor, Chelsea and City score 3 without reply and both Liverpool and Watford going one better with 4 a-piece. So how did that affect this week’s scoring? Fittingly, it was a tie for first place this week with both Mosc an...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 12

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 12 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 12 Ten games this week, squeezed into an unusually thin two days. In fact, eight of them are on Saturday… We begin with the Ranieri derby, sans Claudio, as Leicester host Chelsea at 12.30pm. As if by way of an apology / olive branch Jeff and co. then get a bumper six games to peruse over at 3pm. Albeit all the crap ones. Villa host Brighton, Palace go to Burnley, Newcastle welcome Brentford, Saints travel along the coast to Norwich (sort of…), Claudio himself welcomes Ole and West Ham go up to Wolves. Liverpool and Arsenal see us out in the 5.30pm game at Anfield. Just the two left on Sunday and we begin with Rafa trying to thwart Pep at 2pm. That is to say trying to restrict them to just 4 or 5 goals. And then, almost...[Read More]

FPL Team Gameweek 12

FPL Team Gameweek 12 Welcome to FPL Team Gameweek 12 It is easy to lose track, during the yawning international break, just how well you may have done in the previous week. A very healthy 31 POINTS above the weekly average was an extremely pleasant surprise for the FF247 bigwigs when we reconvened last night. We had some very well-performing players who combined to help us reach 73 points for the week which took us to 128,011 overall. We are back on track and very pleased. We start off by mentioning the strikers last week. Right, that’s that done. That’s all we really can say about 5 points combined from messrs Antonio, Toney and Vardy. Chuck in the other 2-pointers in Rudiger and Benrahma and that’s the rot out of the way! We are very proud owners of Raphinha (9), Emile ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 12

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 12 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 12 Back to FPL business we go, then, after another international break rudely interrupts the Premier League action. Or it’s a welcome break if you’re Swirly. Whatever. Looking all the way back to Gameweek 11 and it was Man City’s Cancelo who should have been the man to captain in the end, as he picked up 14 points in the comfortable 2-0 win over the local rivals. The perma-captain choice – at least until he heads off for international duty in about eight gameweeks’ time – registered an assist as his side were defeated 3-2 by West Ham and, other than TAA, you were lucky if you had any of the other big points scorers that time. It’s been a long time since ma...[Read More]
